- Need for Speed Rivals. NFS Rivals was one of the few nfs titles that I never actually played until now. I don't remember much about the release of this game aside from the fact that this NFS title was the last game to come out of the yearly Need for Speed development cycle that was prevalent at the time. What was your experience with the game? Let me know in the comments!

What the heck is up with the freezing and loading textures, it makes the game completely unplayable on some occasions.. Could my game be broken or something? 🤔

I have the PS3 version and it runs perfectly besides some lag
Weird that the pc version doesn't load the cop Viper after finishing the race, but the PS3 version does

Don't use "underrated" word. This is for games like NFS U, U2, Most Wanted, Beam NG(where police pursuit looks like real).

If you're talking about MW 2012, it was truly underrated, but seeing all your other examples makes me think about 2005, that game is still overrated at the day.

NFS Rivals was my childhood game that I literally bought it again because I lost my account but it’s still worth buying it again + it was on sale 75% off for the complete edition so I had to buy this one 🙂

Rivals has the most bloodthirsty cops IMO.
Have been replaying NFS MW 2012 for a month and, man those SUV fords and swat trucks are literally tanks, doesn't help that the police follows pretty much every move

I love NFS Rivals. The sheer amount of shenanigans you can get upto in this game. Is hilarious. However I have heard about the random glitches in the game. But I don't know what the cause is lol. Keep it up anyway man.
Oh man i still play it on xbox and it is painful with the sheer excess of glitches
Using SSD resolves most of those glitches.

I have the ps4 disc and play it on ps5 . There ain't a lot of glitches , I've explored the map and had no problem . But the cops spawns are little wacky.

I love rivals
This is my childhood game. This game is a true challenge for hot pursuit races. The engine sound give me chiiilllsss. Oh and also i miss my top car Pagani Huayra and veyron supersports. The graphics is sooo realistic than the future NFS games. Also don’t worry the freeze is common it’s not because of your PC is potato EVEN the powerful PC the game can freeze. It’s just loading the textures from very far away.
Edit: Oh i realized my PS4 wasn't freezing like that. Just my old PS3...

I dunno why this gem almost always freezes in some random places. You are running, takin' care your own business and suddenly find yoself stuck.

game was made for 30 fps. increasing fps cap to 60 does weird stuff, like freezes and random dc'ing. Sadly it can't be fixed in client side because game is online only.
Dude are you serious? Seriously, can't get enough of 30 FPS? 30 FPS is pretty good. I dont understand why people wants to increase it to 60.
@@paintfish because they used to 60fps. And when we return to 30fps - its noticable!
@@paintfish I personally can't, even with my nvidia gtx 1060 I'd rather lower visual settings to get 50-60 fps than playing with 30
And every year more and more games require to do so - that is heartbreaking :'(
If this happens online, then EA really decided to score on the NFS servers, well, or the game decided "Come on, I'm tired"

I loved this game. Quite fun, even if you couldn't properly pause the game. Although I never had any of those glitches or loading bugs. At least, never that severely.

There was some bugs for my play through but it didn’t stop me from loving this game nfs rivals one my favorite nfs games that I enjoy playing more than today nfs
I wish that this game had a pause button. Someone needs to mod the PC version, so we can at least pause the game.
Problem is, that it'd have to be made offline first as there's no way to pause an online game.
Online only is a death sentence for games...

I'm fine with F2P games being online only, but a $60 AAA game deserves a fully playable offline mode.
Games like The Crew 1 and NFS 2015 are going to be finished as soon as Ubisoft and EA decide to shut the servers down (which will happen in this decade).
I hope someone makes these games offline after the servers shut down, so we can at least play the single player campaigns while offline.
NFS Rivals can be played offline on PC thanks to the seven digital seas, but the game still cannot be paused.

Didn't know this game was so glichy. I played this game on Xbox 360 back in 2014 and never saw these bugs.
As a person who has completed the story and unlocked + fully upgraded all cars, I can confirm the start hurt my soul. Both because he didn't go into the gas station first and because he lost 280k SP. But judging from the car he was still a beginner in Rivals so I guess its only natural
You should play Hot Pursuit original or Remastered are both great
The original version would be a better choice

Rivals this week? Nice pick. I always thought it was an underrated game, but being so messy on the technical side of things, limited to 30fps on PC, and online-only functionality that 2015 also shared sure didn't make people want to give it a chance.
The limit can be fixed, if anything.But the game will be like jelly if the PC does not take out...
@@user-dp3lo4zx8e In which case, what's the point? It won't be good if going past 30 anyway, as the physics are tied to framerate, and I've seen then breaking apart as a result of it.
@@proletarianrise10 Yes, I see.But if the computer is powerful, then you can try.You just need to register one parameter in the shortcut of the game, but there may be glitches, as in this video.I tried, my laptop gave out jelly instead of a game, but for some reason I didn't have glitches with physics and downloads.

On top of freezing it's got no anti aliasing and runs at 30 fps

Which is why Jammer and Shockwave must be considered. With such high heat level, durability is very important. F12 and Enzo seemed to be the most suitable for those.
Rivals is lowkey one of the better nfs games... best of the rest you could say.
and damn i played the game a couple years back and with ~50hrs i had no issues with textures/freezing.
I loaded this game up a few months back and was surprised to still find full public lobbies with minimal crashing. When it works as intended, the game holds up rather well

One time I was the Ferrari Enzo and I turbo'd into a player who I was fighting and collided so hard my car got transported out the map

Loved this game but hated the fact you can't pause.
One thing that I don't understand is that why are the roads wet? Is there a lot of rain in the cities/counties that we can't see? Or are they doing this because they like it and it has more of a street racing vibe. I mean I don't hate it. It looks cool, it's just I don't understand why are the roads wet. ( Yes, NFS Rivals has rain drops hitting your screen/windshield)
Forest Trail seemed to rain a lot. Although, there are dry roads in desert areas.
