I am in love with NZ, a pretty clean and safe country to chill and live at, the crime rates are so low that you couldn't even get mugged or insulted. The scenery is outstanding too.
Lived in Auckland city for a few years.There is no comparison between Melbourne and Auckland. Melbourne is light years ahead in every aspect of city living,culture and shopping.

Being a native kiwi living in New Zealand I just need to correct you on a couple things. #1 - Us Maori do not demand respect. That’s completely false. I’m not sure where you may have heard that from, however , like anyone else we do not condone disrespect in any way shape or form. All we ask is to be your self and don’t litter in our beautiful green country when visiting. #2 walking around with no shoes is not a tradition. If you see someone walking around without shoes , especially adults in the city. They are homeless & can not afford to buy a pair of shoes . Obviously if you see it at our beaches or parks on a really sunny day. That I guess is considered ‘normal’ . Besides that, your video is great and I hope you enjoyed tour stay here in Auckland N.Z :)
I had live Auckland for a month before and attended school for 2 weeks there. Everyone in school helped me so much and they were so kind. I miss them. I live in Korea now but I miss there so much...! ( sorry for my poor english)
My boyfriend lives in Rosedale about 15 min from downtown Auckland and I love it when he goes on the motorway south cuz I get to see the harbour bridge and the sky tower it's so pretty Thanks for sharing your travels makes me feel like I'm there too

I'm embarrassed to be associated with the US.I live on the East coast by the seaside, so it's very much the same housing costs as NZ. I was thinking of expatting to Sweden, as I have family there. It was my daughter who told me she was thinking about NZ. Once I looked into it, I was so impressed.

It's dirty, the roads are bumpy and full of pot-holes, constant roadworks impeding traffic. Streets are smelly and full of homeless people. He's only showing the cool places. It's a nice enough city though lol

It's a testament to Auckland as a travel destination that the further away from it you drive, the more interesting things you will find. To be fair it is a quite nice city to live, but you cannot afford to live and the traffic is defying the laws of physics by somehow getting heavier each year.

I missed walking around there and end up at Elliot's Stable at night and had a drink. you should go to rotorua or Whangarei or Waihiki Island its nice.
