In 2011, September, we boarded the Polarlys in Bergen for a two night trip via the Geraingerfjord to Trondheim. In Bergen, we had met people who were going on the Nordlys the next day. As we were entering Trondheim, news came that Nordlys had an engine explode entering Alesund. We heard that one or two crew members died and the ship was listing. The Nordlys was towed to the wharf in Alesund, but listing continued. All passengers and crew were evacuated. There was fear that the ship would flip over at the wharf. Special crews were brought in who stabilized the ship. Glad to know she is still sailing.

Nice tour of breakfast at 8:45. I took the Bergen to Kirkenes to Bergen 12 day cruise. One of the best in the world.

I did this in return journey late May/early June 2014 on Nordkapp. Really recommend it. A truly relaxing holiday. Weather was perfect
