Bloodstorm never received the respect it deserved. Really great game. Also, thanks for your videos! They have helped me immensely with various projects.

I don't think I've ever played Bloodstorm. The cabinet is looking great!

Completely agree with bloodstorming this cab, might be a different story if it already wasn’t converted and painted. Looks great so far. Looking forward to part 2.

Bloodstorm got Daniel Pesina fired from Mortal Kombat for showing up in the advertisement. I've never played it, but I look forward to your restoration.

Note to self, cut hole in vinyl after it's laid

First off, how were you able to strip that art so easily and without aid of a heat gun? I stripped a Midway cab before and it was a PROJECT, even with heat! Second, any reason you don't go the wet method for art install (via rapidtac)? I feel like it makes the process way easier, especially if you have to pull it off a bit to reset it as I saw you had to a few times.

I find the older cabs are much easier because Midway changed their process around MK3. I did an MK4 that was super difficult like you describe.
Because this is how I’ve always done it and if prepped properly, there’s minimal risk when pulling it back up. In full disclosure, I never bothered to learn the rapidtac method. Plus, the wood would absorb any moisture and that always made me a bit hesitant. I’ve always had good results doing this way, so that’s what I’ve just stuck with.

Awesome work Mike!! Keep these videos coming! I wanted to see if you can give me a ballpark estimate on what I should pay for a cabinet like this. No screen/board, just the cabinet. I am looking for a project :) Thanks!

Thanks! I'd say anywhere between $100 and $250 for an empty cabinet.

I feel the front would look better if it was 1 piece of vinyl and not multiple. Not bad at all, I'm working on a Time Killers-ish Midway cab as well currently, seems many of the OG collectors are.

You look like a guy around my age or close to it.. Makes me feel like crap watching you get on the ground and strip the side art off.. Im 51 and don't think I would be able to do that with all my arthritis and who knows what else.. Cudos to u Mike
