Over 500 witnesses saw Jesus alive over the 40 days He was still on the earth after His Resurrection. He did eat meals and drink beverages with many witnesses. Over 500 live at the time, eye witnesses. Further there was a "cloud" of witnesses (too many to count), that watched Him ascend into Heaven. Live eye witnesses. 👍
Saw a 'rabbi' asking a Christian: If a man came back to life would you call him God? But who raised HIM (I lay down my life and I take it up again) and he raised the dead himself,as well as other miracles, so he was (is) someone special.
@HuckFinn That's almost as funny as reading Richard Dawkins say that "Nothing is actually something but we can't explain what it is." I laugh everytime someone tells me Something was made out of nothing. Dawkins can't explain what nothing is because nothing is nothing. People sure can put their faith in science.
HuckFinn the funny thing is Christians aren’t happy with your atheist view not because we want to control you with a bunch of rules. They are sad that you do not believe that Jesus died for your sins and all you have to do is accept it. I don’t get mad at you for your belief or mock you for it. Yet all atheist cannot accept a Christians view. They mock and belittle Christians at ever turn and do everything they can to try to remove any evidence of the offensive Christian religion from their view. Why are atheist not adamant in the suppression of other religions? Why do they not mock and belittle Muslims?
That rather depends on the nature of the events. If the events being claimed are within the realms of the everyday world there are already less hurdles to be jumped before accepting them.If on the other hand someone were claiming alien abduction, the power to miraculously heal or something else beyond the realms of everyday existence I'd say the skeptical mind should require far better evidence than testimonials.
How is it that Gary threw "the deity" into" the gospel"...🤔?? At no point does anyone mention "the deity" in conjunction with the gospel in any of the New Testament texts... Gary has flat out added to the text...😢 I recall a very specific warning about adding to the text at the end of the book of revelation.
He has said "I am" plus claiming to be God implied by psalm 110. Etc etc. Why was he crucified? By claiming equalnto God. So huh what are you talking about?
@@logic8673 At no time is a simple equative with an implied predicate nominative have anything to do with claiming to be God. I would encourage getting a clear understanding of this basic grammar. The blind man in Jn9.9 made the exact same statement.... His crucifixion has nothing to do with Him being God - in fact, this would indicate exactly the opposite - God can't be crucified.... (well, at least not my God.... you may have a different one... I hope not...).

In the sense of a historical proof it is. Drawing a conclusion based on supporting evidence, whether it provides absolute certainty or not, is not at all an example of blind faith.
exactly-- a cumulative case as in anything in question-- not blind faith at all-- all supported by evidence that makes is MUCH MORE likely that God exists and Jesus resurrection was historical....
Evidence in the forum of legal proceedings provides proof or falsification of a claim. Since a super natural event is being considered in this situation, it eliminates science and scientific methods of evaluation. Therefore, the only method available is falsification of those assertions by the evidence. If the evidentiary method can then evaluate scientific evaluations of evidence, which is it's proper place in the process, you therefore then have proof.
So if I were to argue that miracles did happen and give evidence that they did (I.E. the evidence being the evidence that Jesus was in fact resurrected), your response would be "nope, miracles don't happen"?
