Well you can look up Google for "Genuine Rattler 110" with is a 2T scooter from 08 to 2009.. top speed is roughly around 48 to 49mph gps. But gets their kind of quick
friendly tip from EU where we modify these scooters on daily basis; i know oil injection is convenient but usually its not the best for lubricating a 70cc cylinder so id recommend doing an oil injection delete
Dude you got me eyeballing FB marketplace for a honda elite or a zuma or something. I've always wanted something small to easily throw in a truck and take on the dirt roads / fire trails when I camp. This looks like a blast!
I had threw some off road tires on a cheap china 4 stroke and beat the piss out of it. I wasn't disappointed. The 80 cc bbk helped as well. Love your vids man !
9:55 while an oil injector is nice, remember that if it fails, you're going to have to replace the engine. That's why here in the Netherlands where scooters are way more common, most people with an old 2 stroke remove it and mix it themselves
Great video, having watched your tune up video I did virtually the same mods to my Yamaha aerox, works great 60mph indicated, more in good conditions and average 95mpg on a UK gallon. Superb all round transport. I do add a tiny bit of oil to the petrol though for peace of mind I’m 61 years old, have bigger bikes, ridden all my life but love the Aerox
Love your videos bud, but i would mix my gas myself, that oil tank is good if the whole scooter is stock, if you are tuning it it gives to less oil, that happend to my 50cc scooter, it locked the engine up because it gave to less oil😢, so if i where you i would mix myself. But i love your videos man, i learned to wheely my old moped because of you😅
Earlier this year i bought myself a moped (an actual one with pedals) and i've been slowly modifying it as well. The stock speed is about 27mph, but after changing the gearing a bit, some slight hand-porting and modifying the stock exhaust, it does about 38mph (not for long, i don't want it to overheat since it has no fan). It's a little different since it doesn't have a cvt but a 2speed auto and it's a little older than yours (about 1988, but it started production around 1980 and stayed the same i think). It's a ton of fun to ride and work on. *It's a Babetta 210
if you get a carb from an 80cc Minirelli, cheap Chinese 2t quads ETC they pick up lots of power, and it's just a drop-in upgrade, I did it on my stock 87 50cc jog (1985 engine) w a bad pistion and it faster than it was when it was new, topping out about 40 on flat, you'll know its the right carb cause it has 2 screws on the top instead of the 1, Sundrio and other brands like that use it
for what its worth, i had a 70cc around 20hp scooter, cost lots to build and run cos i used to take it up Salisbury planes and snap exhausts and blow it up every couple of months. Honestly the most fun you could imagine.
I have one like this (1990 honda dio sr) in stock form and i mostly use it to explore the nature in my village. It's crazy how good they are on dirt mountin roads.
I have a 50cc 139gmb with an 80cc bbk, nibbi pe17 carb...with the front end cut off and a yamaha big bear 350 atv front end welded onto it. It has over 20h of riding at an atv park. The nibbi carb added reliability.
i dont want to be mean, but the tuned 50cc scooters and bikes aren't reliable, even if your scooter survived the tests, it doesn't mean it's gonna last in time, it might be reliable on the moment, but the kit might break after like 6 months (unless it's a very very reliable kit tuned litterally perfectly)
Scooters are very fun to ride. But from experience dont rely too much on the oil injection. Especially with this kind of challenge. Use push start and a side stand on that for even more convinience. I have a yamaha jog zr from japan with a malossi full volume crank and a big bore kit, 24mm carb and daytona full advance cdi, and it is a ripper!
I have to desagree with the reliability question. I modded my '68 Motobecane to an Airsal 66cc, Dellorto 1515 and modded the decompression lever. Since then, no problems, before I could not have a day without it dying or slowing down.
haha yea there is always exceptions, especially for older bikes that are not really in good shape anymore. Those sound like some good mods to fix it up though!
I recently picked up an Eton Beamer and slapped a 70cc and an exhaust on it. I have a bunch of hill climbs by my house that I take my xr500 up all the time. I took it straight there, and it is insane the stuff it'll go up so much more fun somehow.
I don't know what is the rule about engine size in the states but in my country it's forbidden to drive a scooter without licence plate that has bigger engine than 50cc. But the thing that I want to say is that Honda has a type that called Lead and some has stock 90cc engines andit looks exactly the same as a 50cc version of it. It has a long transmission and it can reach 80-90kph (about 50-55mph). Just a tip if u find one there buy it
Don't underestimate this moped engines the're literally the most bulletproof engines in stock form even with a mild tune. I had one Peugeot Elyseo that had 60,000 miles, they're very low revving for a 2 stroke (7k rpm) and the oil injection lubricates the engine since the first seconds of a cold start, in a 4 stroke it takes a while for the oil to get thin, plus the internals have no inertia due to its ridiculous weight. I don't think of any 4 stroke engine that can do that mileage being abused in town 90% of the time on high revs. I had also an aprilia Motogp 125cc T Harada Replica that 2 stroke that revved to 14k rpm, did 105mph but required piston rings replacement every 5k miles and piston every 10k miles. It came straight piped (w expansion chamber) from the factory in 1998. I also had a 4stroke 16 and 17 inch wheel moped wich was also a blast on its way with 80 mpg, 67 tuned,.
Big excitement for the video because every time I see your channel I've only seen your RUclips channel for I think 2 years or 3 years now but I'm excited and yeah for the plans for the xr150l
doing twisty on scooter is really fun! i've used my 110 scooter and 150 scooter on a lot of twisty road, scrapped the center stand couple times and sometime till the rear tyres lifted a bit and almost overshoot a sharp U turn and almost fall off the cliff. yeah you only need to twist and brake, but it's fun to push those scooter to it's limit :D but for some reason, i had more fun pushing my bonestock 110cc scooter on twisty. it tops out at 80KPh with almost no torque but i can lean way more compared to my light modded 150cc scooter. but for everyday commute i'll for sure take something that can go up to at atleast 110KPh lol

man you can beat those motors till they blow they wont break i assure you only thing that will go wrong before spark and fuel is the piston or rod bearing ive modded alot of mopeds and longest mine lasted was 80 hours it had roughly 24 horse power i had over sized svt 84cc big bore 28mm carb tons of other stuff it was so much but unreliable but they are so easy to work on its so enjoyable its super good for learning 2 strokes too easy tear apart

I think reliability will not decrease if you make all the components match your power level. That’s how i build my own single cylinder engines. I make my own cranks, cylinders, heads and many other parts. I have made engine cases for couple of purpose buildt engines too.
Reminds me of that vid where a dude modded an old Vespa to make 75hp with 2-stroke power That sh*t pulled as hard as a 1000cc up to like 70-80km/h. The vario had to be so beefy to withstand the added torque
take a look at the yamaha aerox 03-13 50cc scooters. They are the ultimate scooter. Hydralic disk brakes and liquid cooled engine. Hard to get in the US but in Europe they are a favorite. Love your vids btw.
Bro bro I was excited okay I was really excited to see your video okay I missed your videos man I'm still waiting for you to do work on the xr150l and another video for the pooch and the Magnum x

One bad thing about 2stroke oil injection is when the oil pump fucks up your engine still working without oil (thats what happend to me), otherway if you mix it on the gas tank directli it always have oil, and if the carb stops giving gas then the engine stops…since this happened to me i always take out the oil tank and change de carb so it goes much better
