@@TwoStrokeJ Wont this bike blow up bcs is not made for the road its mead for racing the piston will brake in half and the engine will be destroyed because that engine needs to have a load and if you drive it on the road, the piston will not have good combustion, so what the point?
it's harder on the bike in the states, here in italy or europe in general tbh, we ride 125s on the street all the time without many problems because we dont have your straights. It's hard there, love that you still do it
Please don’t listen to the people telling you to stop engine braking, you are totally fine doing so. Here in italy we race 125 2 strokes (mx and sport bikes) and engine braking is crucial (if you actually want to stop😂) and guess what, no-one ever had any problems. Keep riding
I see 15 year olds in Italy shredding 125’s on twisty roads engine braking the crap out of them and yea it seems fine haha. I’m sure it can be over done but I don’t think it’s as bad as people think
dude what, engine braking does not slow down the bike at all compared to just using your brakes. also if u engine break in high rpms=engine gets gas only through idle jet=less gas/oil mixture which can lead to too little lubrication. Pistons lifetime gets much longer when you just pull in the clutch and let it roll. Also such an easy thing to do so no point to not do it
@@elias842 And it wears out the engine faster. Even if it never breaks it will be the same as having too little oil and riding it "correctly" when having the right mixture but using engine brake alot :) Also people mistake longer gearing "hurts acceleration" every time. Only hurts from standstill because 1st is harder to launch but when youre going 20mph for example on 2nd with long gears its identical to being on 3rd gear on stock sprockets. Same power goes to the wheel and youll accelerate for longer and shift less😎
please dont engine brake on a 2 stroke. Especially not the 125s! they rev so high. since the cylkinder doesnt get any oil when u dont gas it will lock up on u eventually. happened me thats why im tellin you
@@OskarAxl as long as you aren't dropping from 5th to 2nd into a corner you'll be fine . im at 100hrs on my current top end and have no issues with compression loss
Been filing down baskets for years. No issues at all. Just try to keep things as equal as possible. I measure each tab with digital calipers in a couple places after taking out the groves.
The videos have really improved in production quality and it’s awesome. Really appreciate all the work you put into the videos and hope to see more great content!!!!
holy shit I remember watching you back when you just got it and started learning wheelies , then somehow lost the channel and now I see you're still killing it and the bike looks clean af :D Gearing a 125 motocross bike for the street is pretty much impossible , so looks like the current setup is as good as it gets.
If stock is 12 you should go 14 front and -2 on the back. Would probably still be too short for the street :) I changed a KX250 gearing from 13/49 to 15/46 for ice riding and it still maxes out at 137km/h only 😁 The practical cruising speed with those sprockets is around 80km/h.
125s have a narrow powerband. I don't know if the stock cylinder can be ported for a wide powerband, suitable for your needs. A blank sleeve could be ported for a wide, street friendly powerband. You'd need an exhaust designed for it. One good place to start, would be a Yamaha RD250, as the 250 is a twin cylinder 2 stroke with is twice the displacement of the 125. The RD250 had two exhaust pipes and one of them could be modified to fit or could be copied as a base to experiment with. I love the idea of stressing a motocross bike and have dreamed of doing so since I was a teen. Subscribed.
Everytime I’ve looped a stoppie I’ve ended up in hospital Least was a broken collarbone and worst was broken ankle both bones in both arms broken and 3rd degree burns on one arm and my chest. But still love doing stoppies they are so much fun
You can file the clutch basket. You don't have to go for perfect to make it feel nice. You also don't want to great a ton of play. Just file it down to 80-90% smooth and send it.
By streetworthy I thought you meant registration and plate, break light and even headlight with generator or battery. Over here in uk its done but most are not legal because every exhaust has to be "e" marked to prove its quiet enough unless its 25+ years old! You can get flywheel generator kits, I think even inner rotor ones.
Not my man using a 10” adjustable wrench for the brake bleeder valve 😂. Gotta make do I guess haha. I kid, great video, keep up the good work. Maybe we could link up this summer and you ride my CR500 street legal sumo.

Sick video 💪🏼 A 16mm radial master cylinder would be optimal for the motomaster calipper. I have a 19mm Brembo rcs radial master which is way too aggressive for normal Street riding. But its so sick when racing. Absolute minimal effort for max braking power. Like pushing a feather to make a stoppie
no , the motomaster has smaller pistons compared to other 4 pistol callipers, anything larger then 13mm is overkill. The original motomaster cylinder is actually a 12mm Magura HC1 (just as in this video) just with a different logo and it's the optimal setup for the calliper
I dont know what suzuki motocross gearing is like, but I have 14-44 gearing on an exc, which I beleive has longer gearing inside the gearbox from factory compared to an mx bike and it wheelies fine, just takes time to learn could also be that because its en Enduro bike from factory, it has more tork on the bottom end compared to a mx
Brill a video to sit back and relax, can I be cheeky and ask for more content 🤣 Few things to mention: O-ring chains on a two stone is a no no, specially 125's! "Zaps" too much power, maybe in a 250 but I prefer not to but a 500 go ahead, 2) the drz spokets are the same fitment as the RM's I believe so if you need a small gear on the back for even longer gears try them maybe a 44T but they go as low as 38T I believe but you might not be able to get it up easily (gigady) 3)engine braking no no on two strokes as once you are if the throttle, fuel/ oil mixture isn't getting in the cylinder to lube things up.
13:08 Try pulling the clutch when doing this. When you are at ballance point. I've heard when you don't give it gass while it running. It's not getting fuel. So you can kill the engine by doing that. I am not proffesional with these things but just what people tell me. Btw - nice wheelies ;)
Hey at the start of the series you said that the bike didn't idle and it was always leaking oil out of the exhaust. I've had the oil leaking problem ever since I bought my derbi senda 50 and recently it stopped idling. do you know what could have caused the problem?
2 stroke j get another Yamaha dt50lc. i would love a build series and their is lots of aftermarket parts. it is a very popular bike to tune in Portugal
Get a smaller D.I.D back sprocket, like what’s on a Yamaha DT125R, I got 98 mph down a road, was proper fast for a 125 , my mate clocked me with his car, but that was year 2000 , was the best enduro 2 stroke I ever had , I had 4 DT125R s , I wish I never sold that one I got 98 out of

what is engine braking? is it when you dont use your clutch when slowing down/not giving gas or what
