Germany has very different attitudes about certain language. They have already seen the power of hate speech to destroy civilization. Yes, the spectator is free to say it and faces no criminal charges. But Zverev, the umpire, the crowd, and the US Open are free to object and eject for this provocative language. Actually the song Deutschlandlied became the German national anthem in 1922 long before schicky came to power. And it still is. Yes, the lyrics are updated, but it's the same song. So don't know what the spectator's motives were, but he was kicked out based on Zverev's say so.
