Here we see the largest animals on earth, and more than likely the largest animals to have EVER lived on our world. Larger, by far, than any dinosaur yet discovered...
Intro was just wow!!! Morning coffee and listening to this beautiful music makes me want to call in sick at the office and lay down all day and listen to this over and over!!! My day will be wonderful!!! Thanks guy!!!
Andertons guitar channel is so great. You can really see the fun the crew has in all their videos. Much better than "Here's the product, here's what it does/sounds like, that it folks!" All the extracurricular activities is what makes these videos fun to watch
I think what distinguishes you guys, Andertons's in general, is that you are, or at least appear to be truly having a good time in these videos. Not many can say that or portray that. Nice "work" boys!
FANTASTIC intro - I just had to record it! You two are like a couple of enthusiastic Bro's who have just discovered a new Jam and are totally into it. Love it!
I have the 2015 Hot Rod DeVille 410 III 60 Watts with two 6L6 Power Tubes with a Solid State Rectifier as in this video. I purchased it as a kind of 8 ohm, 1/2 stack, just as Peter said he did in this video. Now I also have a new Marshall 2245 JTM45 30 watt with two 5881 power tubes with a Tube Rectifier the Marshall cost 2-1/2 as much and I just tested them one along side the other. I am playing it through an old Fender open back combo amp that had the amp removed and the 2 Jensen C12Q speakers remain and are a 4 ohm speaker load. These two rigs sound very close, much closer than I would have believed had I not heard them with my own ears. Now understand that I only tested for clean tone at medium volumes and did not drive either amp as I was just trying to dial in the settings to sound similar, which was really fast and easy. First thing tomorrow I will run them at max volumes at the same time. As it stand right now they are both really good sounding guitar amps. The tone is the thing for me as I am transitioning from Jimi Hendrix inspired Rock and into Jazz and Blues. They both can do both! -Peter N. I think that the Fender shall be cleaner at higher volumes and have more headroom. The Marshall shall indeed have more of that sought after "Plexi" tone when played at max. volume.
I'm a massive fan and customer of Andertons and also a massive fan of Joss from other videos. An incredibly heartwarming and fascinating experience to see them both deliver an incredible review together. I will be buying this amp because of this video.
I’ve owned and gigged the 4x10 and 2x12 versions of the HR DeVille. I think the magic is in the 4x10. They don’t muddy up as easily with humbuckers as the 2x12 does.
I'm hooked on these Anderton's videos lately... they've made me lust for a Bea signature Chapman guitar and now I gotta have an Anderton's coffee cup!! Haha love love love this channel. Thanks gents
littlesquidward 06 omg look!!! Other great guitarists right there in the UK that aren’t named John. ruclips.net/video/i_cPchRYR20/видео.html here’s one.
I’m a slut for tone and the deville 212 is the best combo out there for the price. I have heavily modded my deville at this point but that’s because I’m crazy. I want to find a cabinet that matches because I think this amp is the perfect tour setup.
That's definitely a pic of John Mayer in the background. All we need now is Captain meets John Mayer. And I am pretty sure the whole Andertons crew would be equally excited.Lol I can't remember how many times Lee has said"I wonder if John Mayer watches our videos" Only if we could get John to come at Andertons Btw that amp sounds sweeeet.Specially with single coils.
I don't get the negative opinions these amps get on the drive channels. Whenever I plug into one in a guitar store (this or Hot Rod Deluxe) I'm always like "man that's a proper classic rock tone, no need for pedals". And the clean channel - best pedal platform I've heard (or wait, Fender SuperSonic 60 was the only amp that's better).
bushibayushi I used to own one. I think they redesigned the lead circuit a while back. I hope so, because my 2006 Hot Rod Deville, turned out to be one of the worst amps in my life. The drive channel was Useless... And the clean channel, which I thought was pretty good, was tone-sucking and lifelss compared to many other amps.
I've own a Hot Rod Deville for years . IMO they can sound great . I swapped out the cheap Celestion speakers for Vintage 30's (2/12) and it sounds killer .
RatWolf 6 months later and no one knows lol. It's a 7th fret E minor, 3rd fret A position C major, and then a 5th fret E position A Minor, with an added B on the high E every once in a while just as a flair.
Epic Deal? More like an epic jam! Clean volume on 10AM, bright switch off, treble about 11am, bass on 10:30, mids on 1:45/2pm, presence at about 130 and reverb to taste. Perfect clean strat tone all day long! These amps tend to be a bit bright and bass heavy with the 4 10s and need a bit of a bump in the mids, especially with single coils. The 4x10 config of the hotrod deville is, I think likely the most common amp used by country players around the world. It has enough bottom and snap on the top to make a tele sound incredibly good and it's obscenely loud if you need it to be. It doesn't sound bad turned down though either. The presence controls on the hotrods is basically like a dynamics control.
Much fun had by all who played and those who watched. The wife will never let me buy an amp for home that big unless she could put her coffee cup on it!
Have one of the old 90's MIA 212's and threw a 12at7 in V1 and it really helped the absurd volume and the drive channel sounds great, people just don't know how to set them up right if my old amp is any indication. Only terrible thing is the linear taper pot for the volume, if you sneeze too close to the pot it blasts the volume.
I know! Those victory amps don't really sound good. There not "bad" but people buy Fenders, Marshalls, 5150's and Oranges for a reason. Those are the tones everyone knows and loves from back in the day when guitar music was cool!
Adrian de Graaf Depends on taste ! I don't like fender, neither distorted nor clean. Sounds to me like coming from other dimension, not from the same room as I am.
I know this video was posted a long time ago but can somebody help me. I don’t know whether I want to get the 410 or the 212. Is there really any significant difference?
I have been very happy with my 212 The 410 was to big for me to move it around but the 410 has a sweet sound with a quicker response but lacking low end at low volume. Have purchased one yet? If so what is it?
I'm not much of a guitar player but I traded my AC15 for one of these. Its to much for what I need but man does it sound good with any guitar. The AC15 sounded hollow or "weak" with my Telle. Jeff Martin from the Tea Party uses these.
I have a Deville 410 III Red October limited edition 4x10. I find the 4x10 sounds smoother and less muffled than the 2x12 in certain positions. Just my opinion though :D
I hope you guys at Andetons are shoving Pete with cash because he is incredible
Agree
Ed Is Sick no Pete no watch. Why not show Pete and Rabea’s demo of atomic amplifier. They did a great job it sounded GREAT not any negative posts.
He's probably a freakin stuffed turkey by now. if not then it's a shame.
nice try Pete.
During that intro jam I kept expecting a voiceover of David Attenborough explaining the mating rituals of blue whales.
Here we see the largest animals on earth, and more than likely the largest animals to have EVER lived on our world. Larger, by far, than any dinosaur yet discovered...
@@petercheney8316 u just touched mi soul, David...
Intro was just wow!!! Morning coffee and listening to this beautiful music makes me want to call in sick at the office and lay down all day and listen to this over and over!!! My day will be wonderful!!! Thanks guy!!!
Joss is such a well-rounded player, shreds to sweet sweet sounds!
Andertons guitar channel is so great. You can really see the fun the crew has in all their videos. Much better than "Here's the product, here's what it does/sounds like, that it folks!" All the extracurricular activities is what makes these videos fun to watch

We truly do have a great time... We get to play guitars all day... (and film and mix and edit), but yes.... What is not to enjoy? :-)
Really appreciated seeing the interaction between Joss and Pete...I like you all actually.
Pete's playing always makes me smile. Fantastic both of you.
FANTASTIC intro - I just had to record it! You two are like a couple of enthusiastic Bro's who have just discovered a new Jam and are totally into it. Love it!
Is there anyone who doesn't love when Pete touches a guitar and the magic that comes out?
Im kindy nothing it ;)
I have the 2015 Hot Rod DeVille 410 III 60 Watts with two 6L6 Power Tubes with a Solid State Rectifier as in this video. I purchased it as a kind of 8 ohm, 1/2 stack, just as Peter said he did in this video.

"EVERYTHING AT NOON, LITTLE BIT OF REVERB."
InkyPunk wrong channel dude😂
Debashish Kaushik hey guys Mark Agnesi here...
that's what they actually have the amps set at though XD
In the back room at Norm's...
inkyPunk Hey, you're the only one making this joke~~~!!!! Not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a massive fan and customer of Andertons and also a massive fan of Joss from other videos. An incredibly heartwarming and fascinating experience to see them both deliver an incredible review together. I will be buying this amp because of this video.
Holy fuck at how good this sounds.
I’ve owned and gigged the 4x10 and 2x12 versions of the HR DeVille. I think the magic is in the 4x10. They don’t muddy up as easily with humbuckers as the 2x12 does.
Dem tones!!!! Love when these two guys play together
Really enjoying Joss playing today! Really tasteful. No words for Pete... just amazing!
I'm hooked on these Anderton's videos lately... they've made me lust for a Bea signature Chapman guitar and now I gotta have an Anderton's coffee cup!! Haha love love love this channel. Thanks gents
Is that John Mayer in the background? lol
He's approving of the nice strat tones
HA nice spot! lol
Will Anderson Yes, that is their John Mayer shrine.
Will Anderson Are you talking about the photo or Danish Pete’s wonderful playing
littlesquidward 06 omg look!!! Other great guitarists right there in the UK that aren’t named John. ruclips.net/video/i_cPchRYR20/видео.html here’s one.
Absolutely love watching Joss and Pete jam. Not only do they have fun but feed off and inspire one another
Intro: Joss 2000 notes played and it sounded good. Pete 50 notes played and he absolutely killed it!
Battle of the sustain!
Pretty sure that intro is what perfection sounds like!!
What a treat with you two playing, thanks guys
Just picked up a Deville 212. This demonstration and review is the best. Thanks guys!
How are you liking it after the year it's been?
Yeh are you in love ?
I’m a slut for tone and the deville 212 is the best combo out there for the price. I have heavily modded my deville at this point but that’s because I’m crazy. I want to find a cabinet that matches because I think this amp is the perfect tour setup.
Now it's my chance to go through a 4x10 Hot Rod Deville, all Eq's at noon, with just a little bit of reverb!
These amps sound incredible! Just found a blues deville for USD $299, and it just blows so many away.
Gotta love a guy wearing a Slayer shirt playing sweet blues music. Both are amazing players.
That's definitely a pic of John Mayer in the background. All we need now is Captain meets John Mayer. And I am pretty sure the whole Andertons crew would be equally excited.Lol I can't remember how many times Lee has said"I wonder if John Mayer watches our videos"

bushibayushi how about a 1959 original Bassman
Well i tried the drive channel on those things and I think they sound ok until a certain point but from there on they sound like diarrhea.
pancakes power what bassmans ?
BluesFanatic bassmans are amazing I was talking about the hrd.
One of the best Anderstone vids! And what an amp! Thank you
I've own a Hot Rod Deville for years . IMO they can sound great . I swapped out the cheap Celestion speakers for Vintage 30's (2/12) and it sounds killer .
Wow. Both of you guys. Just wow. Incredible playing. I can only aspire to play like you fellas. Bravo!
Good lord Pete. Face melting sustain. You need to come to the states and just do guitar clinics everywhere. America needs Pete!
Dear lord. That was the epic of epic intros. Love it!
Just like always necessary: all eqs at noon, just a little bit of reverb.
Ian Lenn I got the reference
one day, all the channels will meet
I needed that, thanks
Ha
💀💀💀💀💀💀
Can't wait for the review of the new Pro Jr IV, Blues Jr IV and Hot Rod IVs after NAMM!
nice playin fellas. Pete, man, you got chops buddy.
Pete 1:19 was sooooo epic!
Yesssss
Singing
Pete is a beast of a player
Daaaamn. Best intro ever.... reminds me of Maggot Brain by Funkadelic. Love that Cap-10. Congrats Joss and Pete, that was so, so good.
What are the amps micd too? I don't understand the whole mixing thing..can you put together a video on it
Pete, you are a box of surprises arent you?! That intro solo was fucking epic...
My old guitar player used a Parker, POD and HRD 4x10 for years. Pretty sure he is still gigging with the HRD. Got to be atleast 10yrs or more now.
Holy crap, how do you get that kind of sustain? I need more of that in my life!
Somebody with good ear that can hear what kind of chord progression in the loop of that intro? Very very nice.
Lovely amp btw
RatWolf 6 months later and no one knows lol. It's a 7th fret E minor, 3rd fret A position C major, and then a 5th fret E position A Minor, with an added B on the high E every once in a while just as a flair.

Pete and Joss are the perfect hambone combo
Oh my I could listen to that beginning Jam all day
Nobody minds when you get lost in a guitar Pete. Bring on NAAM!
Loved it. I'm sold! 4 x 10" Annnd... bought!
The tones in this video are legendary! Great amps for the money
Friggin amazing amps really, my brothers 2x12 deville v.1 lives in my home studio because he has kids ;) love that amp
My boy Pete, uh....frickin beautiful playing
Complimenti ragazzi bravissimi👏👏👏👍ci faresti vedere come hai equalizzato l'ampli con la LES spaul ?grazie👏👏👍👍
Pete needs to be in more videos, his playing is amazing
They listened lol
can you plug in a cabinet to to this amp ? let s say an orange one ? sorry if my english is not good enough
Does this amp sound good with all eqs at noon and just a little bit of reverb?
My favorite Andertons player. My favorite amplifier.!
How did he get that sustain?
If you place your guitar in the right distance/angle, you can play with feedback from the amp and create ever lasting sustain...
I don't know whether its the mic placement, but those amps are BRIGHT.
Pete looks baked and his playing is on another level. Coincidence?
That jam at the end was awesome!
Pete you changed the scratchplate and pick ups in your blue Strat? I loved the home made Monterey one.
MrOrange he had to. To do the demo for Boss/Europe. He was on a couch playing the guitar.
1:20 How can I achieve that sustain?
man that was some wicked tasty blues at the intro there bros! :D
Best intro iv ever seen on this channel.
Love the videos of Andertons!
Thanks,,,! You guys have great demos.. Good Job!!
What's better for a Fender Elite Strat: a Vox AC15C1X (which I already have) or one of these Fender Hot Rod Deville's?
Love the mids on the 2x12 :)
TONE!! Now keep them in the amp room and stop using the Victory amps
18:20 is tone heaven
I know! Those victory amps don't really sound good. There not "bad" but people buy Fenders, Marshalls, 5150's and Oranges for a reason. Those are the tones everyone knows and loves from back in the day when guitar music was cool!
Is that the blue Strat that had the painted scratch plate?
Yep. He had to clean if for the Boss Katana Air video. :-)
I'll say it again. Pete makes EVERYONE play better.
Sounds a bit like like guys are channeling the spirit of he late great Eddie Hazel! Nice playing !!
I was about to comment that I was getting maggot brain vibes off this! Glad to see that I'm not the only one.
Anyone know if this amp needs biasing? Some information on such would be nice as I plan on using this as a pedal slave.
Should I get the Deville iii 2x12 or Deville iv 2x12?? What’s the upgrade?
whens joss's shift at the docks start?
laney lionheart or these amps,The best clear sound?
Tommy Andersson nothing does cleans beter than a Fender
Adrian de Graaf Depends on taste ! I don't like fender, neither distorted nor clean. Sounds to me like coming from other dimension, not from the same room as I am.
That intro was awesome! Very David Gilmour-esque.
That feedback was sooooo dope 👍🏾👍🏾
what pedal was he using for the long sustain?
1:35 a deliberate Mark Agnesi reference do we think?
What is the color of that strat called?
Vivid blue ?
I know this video was posted a long time ago but can somebody help me. I don’t know whether I want to get the 410 or the 212. Is there really any significant difference?
I have been very happy with my 212
The 410 was to big for me to move it around but the 410 has a sweet sound with a quicker response but lacking low end at low volume.
Have purchased one yet? If so what is it?
I have 2 410s that I run in stereo... they sound awesome!!
I'm not much of a guitar player but I traded my AC15 for one of these. Its to much for what I need but man does it sound good with any guitar. The AC15 sounded hollow or "weak" with my Telle. Jeff Martin from the Tea Party uses these.
How does the 4x10 compare to say a super reverb?
Celestion speakers like the one in the hod rod deluxe?
That intro jam was so tasty I want to spread it on my toast lol
I have a mk2 version ,fitted a Fromel supreme kit 👍👍👍👍
I just picked up a brand new Hotrod deluxe from Richtone for £399 .. I thought there must be some new stuff coming out at NAMM!
Very tasty playing guys.
Holy cow Pete you really got THE tone
I have a Deville 410 III Red October limited edition 4x10.
I find the 4x10 sounds smoother and less muffled than the 2x12 in certain positions. Just my opinion though :D
Damn!!!!!!!! I bet the 4x10 sounds sick paired with a 1x15 vibroverb
Where can I buy a Danish Pete tutorial dvd
Joss + amp + PlimSoul = awesome sound
