@@Elitex62 Honestly, I'd be okay with this ending tbh. I love Warhammer for its bleak and gritty nature, but man would I get shivers if a last coalition of men/dwarves/elves road out one last time against all odds and crushed Chaos in the end.

Chaos/Skaven will get several powerful upgrades in Game 3
Christian Dauz They could just implement mechanics that either make kislev a strong buffer or make chaos go for a more raidy hit and run style until late game. Or just in general making kislev an early game powerhouse that gets overwhelmed late game

Normally I'm extremely wary of creating alliances In a Total War game... but that was honestly just beautiful to watch. That really felt like watching the End Times play out in front of me, all the races of Order working together in a grand crusade against the forces of Chaos, Destruction and Death.
I think what really sold it was that epic music. Truly, bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏
Also, the ending was way better than GW's vision xD

I am currently playing an Empire Campaign (on Very Hard).. The thing is that making alliances is the correct way to play.. The new tech tree makes this even easier..
The End times event haven't even begun yet, and Northern Wastes are under the control of a Lizardmen faction + Brettonia.. Norscan and Trolls are obliterated.. And on puprose I haven't confederated half the Empire.. At this point when Archaon spawn he will be surrounded and be killed by my AI allies, without me having to lift a finger..
Greenskins and VC are no more as well.. And Clan Skryre is wiped off the map.. Now I have sent two armies so they can help my Dawi allies to clean up Clan Eshin.. I will use these two armies (Volkmar and Franz btw) to delete the Tomb Kings as well..
My only issues are that the Wood Elves have turned on me and that Dark Elves have gotten the Sword of Khaine, so the High Elves might be in a bit of trouble.. However, I already have Gelt taking care of Wood Elves, and it will be a matter of time until I can spare a few armies to help the already strong High Elves (Maybe I will send Gelt once he burns the Wood Elf forest to the ground)..
So yes, having AI allies is the correct way to play.. My only gripe is that sometimes they take settlements I would like to have personally, but not being able to set up edicts is a small price to pay for all the amazing assistance I get..
@@NickStrife tbh TW2 is the only Total War in which alliances actually work as intented, as far as my experience goes. Havent played Rome and Attila though. Up to that point alliance was (imo) a glorified cease fire, that was always ending in player frantically waiting for the backstab from AI.
But as i said, thats only my experience.

AI would always backstab you with the first chance they got (very few exceptions)..
In Rome 2 you had an incentive to simply conquer everything.. The mercenary system..

@@theunclethatdoesnttouchyou it's just Dark Souls HUD slappped as-is on WH2 game. It only goes to show how well the game is done that it looks from 3rd person perspective as good as any other, despite there being thousands of models on the map.

This is what happened if the End Times were like Lord of the Rings were despite the massive amount of problems, they decided to basically do a Elbow drop onto the Chaos Warriors and then the Rats

@@SMT-ks8yp I found that the crews could at least hold off the clanrats until they started to evaporate most of the time, just an annoyance tbh
@@hawkenvanguard3032 Grrr clanrats are so weak... at least, they don't let them shoot and buy you time.

Whenever I have alliances with more than one faction they declare war on each other and make me choose between them. Which also kills my reliability rating, thereby making everyone declare war on me within the next 10 turns.
CA implemented that you don't get the penalty if you choose the stronger bond/the older ally, that shouldn't happen unless your game goofed up.
@@GumshoeClassic good to know! Now I just play with an easy diplomacy mod that simplifies things. Another related mod that is nice I use stops factions from proposing anything over the end turn

That beginning brought forth thousands of memories from my childhood
I started playing the game after almost 1 and a half year about three days ago.
Took up the hunts marshalls expedition. By turn 80 I'm controlling atleast 10 provinces with only 3 full stacks. Even the unbreakable children of the old ones armies with feral dread saurians carnosaurs and all the other stuff can't do much. How? The hunts marshalls army with 2 heroes, some infantry to hold the line and the rest being huntsmen. Entire army can deploy vanguard, plus the buffs the heroes and hunts marshall provides combined with technological buffs have boosted the huntsmen damage to around 80. Not counting the temporary in battle abilities. My deathjacks have a damage of 105. I would feel bad for the dinosaurs BUT I DO IT FOR THE MAN WHO MARSHALS THE MEN

Run away to Ulthuan as soon as you can, buy the Ambassador research and demand all High Elves be your Vassals and you can have not only that, but far more by turn 60. If you play really efficiently you can nearly beat the campaign that fast if you only reclaim what the Dark Elves and Chaos take, and the Lizardmen can't figure out how to get to you when they get mad at all your progress.
I'm serious, as far as I can tell that's the quickest and easiest way to beat Legendary with Markus.
The moment the metalic age of war theme played I imagined an army of elf/dwarf/human coalition marching to meet their foes.
9:28 lol I am playing Malus right now. It's about turn 180, I am almost having war with all human, dwarf, high elves, lizard. My old allies had all been wiped out. I can't think of a way without cheating to survive in this battle
it's fairly easy to play with order side. If you play "non-order" side, please make sure to destroy the dwarf in the beginning, they are really big threat after turn 100

When i heard that short song in the beginning i could only think of an old game i used to play that was basically age of empires but you only built troops and send them to fight in a 2d area, starting from an pre-historic era with dinosaurs up to a futuristic one. that song was that games background music

Indeed, my own Empire will soon be claiming victory as well. The Empire is nearly united, the lands of Kislev are mine, the Wood Elves lay slain under my feet, the Huntsmarshall has returned to the homeland, my armies are surging through the wastelands to put an end to the Greenskin threat, and the armies of Chaos are nearly dead.
Sigvald, Sartheaol, even Archaon lay dead. Now only the cowardly Kholek races throughout Norsca in a desperate attempt to escape my armies. Wish me well, comrades, for soon the Empire shall triumph!
