I believe they colored the entire handbag. Yes, you are correct, the texture of the leather is a bit stiff, due to the dye. however, you can't tell by looking unless you touch it. That is the sacrifice I have to made for the spa treatment on this bag. I would do it over and over again due to Chanel price increase like crazy every year. Thank you for watching.
