Better than the studio version IMHO. Love the way they worked around the last verse and chorus, and I think Bruce really handles this song in his own way. Yeah, Clive Burr was an amazing drummer, always a favorite, and Paul Dianno had some unique and interesting takes on his vocal style, but this version and its execution is just masterful. One of my favorite Maiden performances.
@CG 04 Killers was my most anticipated song on their early days tour back in 2005, but sadly they didn't play it, even when they had only the first four albums to make a setlist from.
Bruce does an exceptional job on some of the maiden classics but without a doubt this song will forever belong to paul and clive paul was my fav singer it does not mean I didn't love the Bruce era
I've never realized the real greatness of this Song before I listened to it walking alone in a dark road... Ahah yes, I could listen to Fear of the Dark, but when I listened to this song I realized that the atmosphere it creates are so real! Epic Irons!
Killers is the only Dianno song that I think Bruce actually does it better than Dianno. Bruce's interpretation adds a lot to the atmosphere of the song.
This is when the five of them were all at their technical best at the same time period and it was amazing to be able to be a small part of it in the 80s
Maiden England was an amazing time for them, they sound amazing, I've always been a Maiden fan since I first heard piece of mind when I was 12, then I listened to Iron Maiden Iron Maiden and killers and liked their style even back then, I finally got to see them live several years ago in the Tacoma dome by where I live on the book of souls world tour and it was the best show I've ever seen. Up the Irons!
Can you even imagine that at the time maiden were still on the crest of a 8yr metal wave, Look at the absolute giant stadium veterans they are now!!! Amazing.
I found Iron Maiden in 1984, thanks to my best friend (George Gregg). I was hooked, from the first song I heard. I was fortunate enough to see Maiden twice on the Powerslave Tour. I went to see them again in 2019, with my oldest son. He’s 35 now! It was a great show!
I find this to be the best rendition of Bruce singing a Dianno song, and Nicko playing a Clive Burr part. I find Nicko rarely does justice to Clive when he plays old Clive songs, but here he did. Clive just had a unique feel. Aspiring drummers, listen to Clive's feel on the records he played on, that's the kind of feel and timing you want to integrate in your playing. Musicality lies in time and feel, not in chops or techniques.
There's no replacement for Clive doing the 1st three records, you can definitely here and see the difference! Clive blew this dude away. As I drummer I can hear Nicko's mistakes. This song isn't easy for a blues drummer lol.
Clive Burr had other style an was amazing, but nicko does a great version here. Dave Murray is a master. In the two first albums his playing was incredible.
@@ccvi208 Absolutely!! You can hear mistakes here and parts where Nicko is silent where snare rolls should be and fills. He doesn't do Clive good. He gets by ya, but he don't have the speed Clive did
they wanted to recover some great stuff from the 90´s i suppose but infinite dreams is one of the most praised songs in SSOTSS, by the fans.... and they left Hallowed for the first time ever too...amazing...
I'll admit that maybe Bruce doesn't have the viciousness to pull of some of the Di'Anno songs but that damn sure ain't the case here. He sounds absolutely sinister and as far as I'm concerned took the song from Paul that night.
Hallowed be thy Name was unusual. I was never a fan of Afraid to Shoot Strangers. I went for a piss and a beer when it came on and ended up missing part of the trooper due to a lazy barman at the o2 in london sunday date. Seen em before but this tour was definately the best ive seen in person
I never said I didn't like bruce I just said this song is better with Paul just like aces high would be better with bruce dude both guys are great but bruce is the better singer technically paul sing with more though just my thoughts bro
Sinceramente, en un particular punto de vista, Paul Di'anno le imprimía el alma a este clásico de "killers"; Dickinson será un muy cantante, pero le falta "vida" en su interpretación de "killers"....
I didnt get that either, was gutted they left out Still Life and Infinite Dreams also. Phantom was a good addition but why they replaced Still Life with Afraid to Shoot Strangers is beyond me.
constant touring and excessive drinking, seriously though im guessing the constant touring had started to take its toll since by this point they had been doing it since the debut
Probably dickinson is more talented than di anno, but *this* song is *only for di anno voice* - reference of mine: many times at Iron Maiden stage, singer of di anno and bruce cover band.
Wish i could say the same... saw them in madrid at a festival and their sound was the weakest! Also bad sound overall...when there was a solo all the sound went to the guitar and u couldnt listen the other instruments at all..... worst maiden concert ive been :/
Dave is fucking awesome. My favourite guitarist of all time.
Mine too
One of Dave's best solos leading right into more brilliance from Adrian.
They should play Killers more often.
Absolutely! 'Killers' (81 / Titletrack) ... Tribute to Paul Di'Anno
They should
@CG 04 Killers was my most anticipated song on their early days tour back in 2005, but sadly they didn't play it, even when they had only the first four albums to make a setlist from.
Not without Clive get real
Bruce does an exceptional job on some of the maiden classics but without a doubt this song will forever belong to paul and clive paul was my fav singer it does not mean I didn't love the Bruce era

Iron Maiden at their peak. Love that the bass is clear, Dave's solo's amazing.
That Dave Murray solo is such a thing of beauty
solos went amazing dave and adrian
I usually prefer Dianno's singing on the earliest material but Bruce slaughters this one even better. Killers is a great underrated album too.
Killers is the only Dianno song that I think Bruce actually does it better than Dianno. Bruce's interpretation adds a lot to the atmosphere of the song.
Classic maiden. Proper crowd in the 80s everyone into the show and punching the air..... not a mobile phone in sight. Those were the days 😀
proper indeed!
👍🏻👍🏻
Fully agree
oh damn...that's one of the best fast guitar solos ever heared!!! daves hand is like a Spider!:D just awesome!!
met the band couple of times. this was dave's favourite solo he said. this and innocent exile from maiden japan are epic.
Where did you meet them?
Could that be even more perfect?
Di'anno. Clive.
@Rita Lovett ruclips.net/video/8Gf1m5qPxU4/видео.html You mean like this?
Nope
What an amazing song. The guitar solos simply magnificent. Harris's bass a killer and drums and vocals incredible.
I usually don’t like Nicko playing Clive Burr songs, but here Nicko did a good job with relatively good tightness.
But didn't do it as well as Clive, there's rolls on the snare/fills that are mute where they should be. Yes I'm a drummer also
@@m42037 he never did as well as Clive. I avoid listening Clive’s songs with Nicko because I really dont like the way he does.
Up Irons!!!
From Macapá-AP-Brasil!!!
This is when the five of them were all at their technical best at the same time period and it was amazing to be able to be a small part of it in the 80s
That's Maiden at peak powers
Iron Maiden: not enough words to describe the greatness.
Superb music🙋♂️🤘
The best album, the best tour, the best sound (mainly the drums)
A melhor fase do Iron Maiden pra mim,100%
Can you even imagine that at the time maiden were still on the crest of a 8yr metal wave,
Look at the absolute giant stadium veterans they are now!!! Amazing.
The best and NO showoff JG!
This was the first Iron maiden tour I saw in the Edinburgh Playhouse. Fantastic
Paul forever
'Killers' is a deep routed investigation into the mind of a killer, ... And what makes such a man tick
Dave's solo break made my mum pregnant.
Well if she slipped out with a roadie who was already about to come, then sure.
Best metal band ever.
PERIOD,THE END,FIN
The best song

Does anyone know the point of Janick Gers in Maiden?
Substitui o adrian smith so isso
There's no replacement for Clive doing the 1st three records, you can definitely here and see the difference! Clive blew this dude away. As I drummer I can hear Nicko's mistakes. This song isn't easy for a blues drummer lol.
Bruce & Nikko. Not your song. Long live Paul & Clive
I miss Clive
Clive Burr had other style an was amazing, but nicko does a great version here. Dave Murray is a master. In the two first albums his playing was incredible.
Clive DEFINITELY better than NM
@@ccvi208 Absolutely!! You can hear mistakes here and parts where Nicko is silent where snare rolls should be and fills. He doesn't do Clive good. He gets by ya, but he don't have the speed Clive did
Almost as good as live after death 😊
Never heard a bad thing about any maiden concert here
Incredible Maiden! The intensity on the song is amazing! They left this out it in the new Maiden England Tour! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!?????
they wanted to recover some great stuff from the 90´s i suppose but infinite dreams is one of the most praised songs in SSOTSS, by the fans.... and they left Hallowed for the first time ever too...amazing...
Murray with the solo ladies and gentleman and behind the fucking galloping from Steve..omg
This was the surprise track in that set list for me. Manchester Apollo - both nights.
I fuckin love this song! they have a killer show to this day!
Just a killer performance! Pun fully intended!
I'll admit that maybe Bruce doesn't have the viciousness to pull of some of the Di'Anno songs but that damn sure ain't the case here. He sounds absolutely sinister and as far as I'm concerned took the song from Paul that night.
Very very good only Iron Maiden gives a show of this magnitude¡¡
damn, its so amanzing, iron maiden rlz
Dave for eveeeeerrrr!!!!
'Killets' (81) Bruce's beautiful tribute to Paul Di'Anno
killers !!!
UP the Irons
que grande Maiden
Steve didn't edit Nicko correctly on this song but Maiden England is a credit to him and the band's performance
Nicko doesn't do Clive well that's why, he's a blues drummer not a Punk/Metal drummer. Clive was a lot faster
Killer track😉
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🇧🇷
どんどん表現が変わって行くよな。
Oh Lord😇
Um dos guitarristas está com a peita do Ossian, que foda!

Eh prefer dianno nuff said
So go listen to his version
I never said I didn't like bruce I just said this song is better with Paul just like aces high would be better with bruce dude both guys are great but bruce is the better singer technically paul sing with more though just my thoughts bro

Dickinson best vpice all times
I still think he sounded most evil in "Moonchild" :)
I didnt get that either, was gutted they left out Still Life and Infinite Dreams also. Phantom was a good addition but why they replaced Still Life with Afraid to Shoot Strangers is beyond me.
Why did Iron Maiden look old even when they were young.
constant touring and excessive drinking, seriously though im guessing the constant touring had started to take its toll since by this point they had been doing it since the debut
Up The Irons from Chile¡
MrFernando864 fuck chile
2:54- shit just got real.
decent job here :)
´Arry return to Valladolid with Maiden or with the Lions one more time,Please! Aupa Pucela!!! Up The Hammers!!! Up The ¨Irons¨!!
Paul Di Anno it was a best
それも流れなんだろうか?
Heh, my first album I bought on the quite new CD-format. And guess what...just found the CD in the garage...still working and still as good!
What's a CD
Proof that Janick is dead weight.
Probably dickinson is more talented than di anno, but *this* song is *only for di anno voice* - reference of mine: many times at Iron Maiden stage, singer of di anno and bruce cover band.
Bruce sucks in playing paul's songs
Paul who?
Ok General Tao, egg roll and Wonton.
Wish i could say the same... saw them in madrid at a festival and their sound was the weakest! Also bad sound overall...when there was a solo all the sound went to the guitar and u couldnt listen the other instruments at all..... worst maiden concert ive been :/
