They are never irrelevant. I saw the Live After Death show at the Long Beach arena. And many many times since then. Took my daughter to a show a couple years ago. We were in the pit- she was 8. It was amazing. She's now 13 and a life long fan. I have to hear this song every single morning as she gets ready for school. Sigh, shedding a little tear of happiness.
I hope I can see them before they finally retire. But they're still kicking ass. Unbelievable that they're almost 70 and outperform 20-year-old bands. The fact that Bruce can still sing a lot of his hardest stuff at his age is amazing. He doesn't try to push his voice the way he used to though but most singers that sing clean and raspy and very powerful as well as operatic, most of them will throw their voice out if they do that every night

I saw Maiden in 2008 in Albuquerque and they were running all over the place through the end!!! What an impressive bunch of showmen! And their songs were dead on!

BUT, on playing the video I noticed it was from Birmingham, NEC, in 1988, and then i realised...I was there!! It did help at the time that I was friends with a few of the security staff at the NEC so I managed to get right down the front, and it was worth it. I can't see myself in the crowd but I did only go on the second of two dates, so weather or or not was recorded that night, who knows? Also, it was almost 34 years ago..Heck, that makes me feel old. Great sound though and i'm playing it time and time again now.

I agree. Iron maiden is, like The Beatles, just one of these bands you just can't say no to. So optimistic, so excited, energetic and talented. You don't have to like metal to like Iron maiden ;)
I've been a follower of Iron Maiden since early days to present. One most professional band in heavy metal,they definitely have the fans interest at heart. The thing I admire the most about is not only their music, but the fact that they are very family oriented,YOU see that very much in the music industry let alone In Heavy Metal. UP THE IRONS!!!!

This is, without a doubt, my favorit Maiden DVD! I mean, the synth and keyboards are a great match for Maiden. Bruce somehow manages to nail almost every song, though his voice was so damaged from the excessive touring (I really love the sound of his voice here, so emotional). They play the songs faster than ever, which makes it even more powerful and epic. And most importantly, the setlist is beyond perfect! Instead of playing Trooper & Icarus, they played Die With Your Boots On & Still Life... badass choices! They could learn from that in present time, instead of always playing the same hits whenever they tour with a new album (they did good in the last one though). They just blended their discography SO well together, and took some unexpected songs and some epic ones from Seventh Son. And respect for not playing much from Powerslave, which was their biggest album at the time ;)
Nothing says a friday night without headbanging to this awesome tune. I will always love this band and im glad I saw this band at an early age instead of a damn Nicki Minaj video or something
Man they sounded absolutely incredibly well live back in those days...although they played most of the songs on a faster tempo than on the records, their tightness is amazing! In my opinion, Maiden England is the pinnacle of their live officially recorded performances, at least when it comes to "classic" Maiden.
