Crimson Moth sounds sooo good!! I adored Looking Glass Sound but can 100% why other people may not haha it is very convoluted!! Defo pick up Sundial if you liked Last House on Needless Street, it feels a bit darker but I loved the twists and atmosphere.
Things We Never Got Over is really not the best of the trilogy. I liked some things, but for me it wasn’t worth the hype. But books 2 and 3….!!! A million times better and the hero in book 3 is just everything! lol 🌼
I remember feeling similarly after finishing Sleeping Giants. I enjoyed Waking Gods a fair amount and definitely got some answers that I wanted but then Only Human didn’t work out so well for me. It will be interesting to see how you end up feeling about the rest of the trilogy.
I loved the study series when I first read them and have just re-read the first one as part of a vlog project - I’d forgotten how simple and practical the writing style felt - still enjoyed my reread though
Favourite book of May was The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones. Was really happy to have a second 5-star read after Fourth Wing at the beginning of the month! 🌼🌼
Oh one thing : I'd really recommence Engines of Empire to everyone who enjoyed A Little Hatred, although maybe not back to back as they share similarities
I haven't read the last house on needless Street yet, but I did really enjoy the vibes and plot in Little Eve by the same author. I would definitely recommend that one from her.
gods bless Maria V. Snyder her books are such a mess. i love them, don't get me wrong, but they are /messy/. i loveloved the Healer series and the Glass series, kind of hated Study series, and loathed the Archives series. So messy. Speaking of messy - Crimson Moth? OOF. What a disaster. SO many problems and unanswered questions and weird little plotholes? i'm glad you enjoyed it, ngl, but. i'm gonna read the second one, hopefully more answers there.
Speaking of favs (forgot to add this in so heck it, another comment for the algo) i read a few really good ones in May: The Poisons We Drink by Bethany Baptiste A Magical Girl Retires by Park Seolyeon, Anton Hur A Prayer for Vengeance by Leanne Schwartz Song of the Six Realms by Judy I. Lin Blood at the Root by LaDarrion Williams Spin of Fate (The Fifth Realm, #1) by A.A. Vora Blood Justice (Blood Debts, #2) by Terry J. Benton-Walker
I swear I've seen just that font in the thumbnail in the bottom of my RUclips page and I got so happy you've uploaded a new video 💜

Haha I wrote that before you wrote that it was convoluted and that’s why you didn’t like it 😂

I actually liked the 2nd and 3rd books of Lucy Scores Knockemout series better than the first, Knox was too bossy for my taste. 🌼💮🌸

Looking Glass Sound sounds intriguing but I really don't enjoy books with children as central characters 😂 even partly

I call my period 'shark week', but its mostly because I interact with a few trans-women and I'm mindful not to discuss menstration overtly
