Love the opening with R.L. Stine 😂😂😂 dyinggggg! The Goosebumps themed censor blocks! Kudos-- also, something you said in this made me think...you need to read Whalefall by Daniel Kraus ASAP 🖤
The only exception to that ill accept is when it was all a dream, BUT there's something changed about the real world when they wake up so its a question of if it was real or not. Like they really did cut their hand or they still have an object they were given in the dream or something
It would be cool if you could rank the Goosebumps episodes from the original series or do a ranking video of your favorite Goosebumps books. I’m glad you did another Goosebumps video, also glad to see R.L. Stone back in this 😂
Do I have any interest at all in the Goosebumps books? No. Will I watch this whole video because of how much I enjoy your commentary and personality? yes !!!
Why are your videos and skits always so incredible? We really appreciate all the work you put into these videos! Buying and reading all of goosebumps so we don't have to 😆
I thought the story was called "The CHOKE Closet" and was wondering how any teacher would get away with that even in the 90s. Love this yearly tradition Gavin!
You should do the Goosebumps Triple Header short stories. Also The Nightmare Room by R.L (12 standalone books and a three parter, they're like goosebumps but better).
When I was in like middle school I loved scary books so I read a lot of the goosebumps books. I was never scared of them UNTIL I read “How to Kill a Monster” and it freaked me out so bad I never touched a goosebumps book again. Like it genuinely traumatized me. I’ve been wanting to try and hunt down a copy now that I’m an adult and see if lives up to my memory
I can't stop watching your videos, they are so entertaining. I love hearing about the books you read. I was so upset that you didn't like the book The Maidens, I liked it so much. And your cats are so cute, my dog and I enjoy all your videos. Thank you for warming my heart with humor and good books.
Imagine my surprise when I just listened through your animorphs reviews and I see you just posted one hour ago. Looks like I have something to do for the next 2 hours
U should do a video, like Ur horror book->film video, but comparing goosebumps books to the show and maybe the films. Would take time, but might also be a reason to reread some old GB books
Yes, i'm hyped lol. 😂😂 Based on the title, I feel like I am going to get less, "Retire, Mr. Stine!" and, "the word gotcha enrages me." And that makes me sad lol
1:23:15 Let me tell you how much I am DYING!! I never expected that and I am losing my shit right now! I can’t imagine reading that but hearing about it so funny. Thanks for doing the hard work, Gavin! 😂❤
give yourself goosebumps was my fav goosebumps series when i was young, i was looking forward to seeing if you had done that after this but ig not TT It was just so fun putting a million fingures in there so i can get all possible endingss
I think the whole "something grows bigger and bigger" thing is reminiscent of the fairytale about the sweet poridge (the Grimms fairytale is called der Süße Brei). First it helps feed the town, but then the whole town drowns in poridge. I also think that R L Stine tried to have these lessons in the story, like don't wish your siblings away, don't be impatient, don't bully the new kid. As a child, I liked the way these messages were presented in the stories. :D
I love these videos I grew up on goosebumps and they were the books that got me into reading! I would love to see a video where you read the scariest creepy pastas! There are some terrifying ones that i have read that I still think about today! Like penpal, borasca, and a ton more! I think it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the internets scariest stories!
I consider "P.S. Don't Write Back" to be one of the scariest stories in the entire franchise. It feels like something out of a modern NoSleep story or Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark than Goosebumps. It makes me want to do a reading of the story in the style of a classic Creepypasta narration, complete with the same music by Myuu and Kevin Macleod (I could probably even imitate MrCreepyPasta by putting emotion into the narration).
I love the full series videos! Would you ever do night world by LJ Smith, warriors by Erin Hunter, house of night by PC and Kristin Cast, redwall by Brian Jacques and Silverwing by Kenneth Opal?
I really enjoy these, even tho I’ve never read goosebumps lol😂 My 4th grade science teacher had a wall of spiders and snakes in the classroom and he would feed the snakes in front of us too and try to make us hold them. It was cool and terrifying all at once
I just never got into ‘Goosebumps’ because of anxiety around horror AND the fact that the insufferable boys in my batch liked it so I stuck to Nancy Drew.
Oh if only you knew what people working at museums store at home 😂 In the 90s we had skeletons under the livingroom sofa and 50.000 year old bear poop in the freezer, among other things.
Nice im working im on my own R.L stine project. Called hero’s and hide & outs I hope for the next one you’ll get the cover artist as well because R.L stine might be not of mad if he had his artist maybe you can just his shoes
Please tell me if this has been done, but what about the whole "it's all a dream" trope, but kinda reversed? Like, you're having this nightmare & you wake up from it shaken, but thankful it was all a dream. There's a few scenes of you living a fairly normal, kinda boring existence, then another horrifying nightmare. Repeat a few times to get the point across, without getting too repetitive. Then the last nightmare you can't wake from because it is your real life ...

Oh haha, I thought the g was for Gavin
@@graceelizabeth1299 😝🤣
Gavin: I’m your fave BookTuber
RLS: * shakes head *
Gavin: what was that?
😂 the beginning is perfection
Doing the whole “it was just a dream” is such a cop out. I’ve taken several creative writing classes and that’s always on the no-no list 😂
Oh and I had a Koosh ball when I was a kid! Very late 80s to 90s. 🤗
The only exception to that ill accept is when it was all a dream, BUT there's something changed about the real world when they wake up so its a question of if it was real or not. Like they really did cut their hand or they still have an object they were given in the dream or something
@@lizklein2926 I totally agree! But then that needs to be like a starting point, not an ending point. I need answers 🤣

I love love loveddd the “give yourself goosebumps” (choose your own adventure) books- they were my absolute favorites 🖤🖤
The intro! 😂 I’m pretty sure I predicted captive/tied-up R.L. Stine in a comment on a previous Goosebumps video, so that tickled me!
Haha I genuinely think you did too!! It was only the natural progression of mine and Mr. Stine’s relationship
I remember watching some of these
While I was never a Gooosebumps girlie, I love watching your videos simply because you love them so much! Your energy is infectious!
Aw thank you 🙏
I can't believe you got THE R. L. Stine to willingly be in the intro of your video 😊
Why are your videos and skits always so incredible? We really appreciate all the work you put into these videos! Buying and reading all of goosebumps so we don't have to 😆
The OG Goosebumps video is how I found you so I love binging these videos
my favourite part of the week is when gav posts 😋
Oh thank you so much 😭
I thought the story was called "The CHOKE Closet" and was wondering how any teacher would get away with that even in the 90s. Love this yearly tradition Gavin!
Haha so much choking in the 90s apparently 😂
You should do a reading point horror books episode i loved those books as a teen they definitely influenced my love of horror
You should do the Goosebumps Triple Header short stories. Also The Nightmare Room by R.L (12 standalone books and a three parter, they're like goosebumps but better).
Was made redundant from a job I really loved yesterday and this video is doing wonders to cheer me up! Thank you
Sorry to hear that, good luck with everything! Went through that myself earlier this year.
@@MikaDoesStuff23 Thank you so much! That's really kind of you! Wishing you the very best and lots of happiness! x
I LOVE your Goosebumps videos! I'm going to stop everything I'm doing and watch this immediately! ❤
Thank you so much 🥰
the skit at the start is so funny 😭

This came at the perfect time. I am suffering from a terrible cold right now, so I am going to get a hot beverage and watch this!
Get well soon and hopefully my video helps you to forget your cold 🙏
Thank you so much! It was an amazing video as always 🤗
Cannot believe this was the ending of the series. I should've been grieving from the beginning. Sad days. Loved this series.
Really hoping I can get the Give Yourself Goosebumps books eventually

Ayyy great timing
Awesome vid! Also an old story and awesome ants!
"Marci was not an orangutang" WHAT Mr. Stine please. I didn't think I could be so annoyed at a story I didn't even read.
U should do a video, like Ur horror book->film video, but comparing goosebumps books to the show and maybe the films. Would take time, but might also be a reason to reread some old GB books
Great idea, thank you!
Yes, i'm hyped lol. 😂😂 Based on the title, I feel like I am going to get less, "Retire, Mr. Stine!" and, "the word gotcha enrages me." And that makes me sad lol
Haha oh I still manage to sneak in a “retire Mr Stine” comment here and there 😂
1:23:15 Let me tell you how much I am DYING!! I never expected that and I am losing my shit right now! I can’t imagine reading that but hearing about it so funny. Thanks for doing the hard work, Gavin! 😂❤
why i got a feeling everyone who is visiting gavin he's gonna say " stay out of the basement" because he's still holding " R.L Stine "hostage 😂
Hahaha

Koosh balls are a real thing, it's like a bunch of colored strands of rubber all connected at the center.
Ahh interesting, thanks for letting me know
@@GavinReadsItAll They were popular toys in the US at the same time as Goosebumps. Its like a ball of rubber hair.
Awesome Ants has been living rent free in my head for about 25 years, haha! I seriously still regularly think of that story.
I love the full series videos! Would you ever do night world by LJ Smith, warriors by Erin Hunter, house of night by PC and Kristin Cast, redwall by Brian Jacques and Silverwing by Kenneth Opal?
Out of all of those, I think I would do Night World by LJ Smith
Awe fuck yes! I love these goosebumps video. Perfect video to end a very good day.
I really enjoy these, even tho I’ve never read goosebumps lol😂
My 4th grade science teacher had a wall of spiders and snakes in the classroom and he would feed the snakes in front of us too and try to make us hold them. It was cool and terrifying all at once
Oh wow I could not be in that classroom haha
Omg I cackled at the goosebump censorship 😂
Gotta keep this video PG haha
Was I just re watching all the goosebumps videos when this dropped?
Yes, yes I was.
Ayyy appreciate you!!
I just never got into ‘Goosebumps’ because of anxiety around horror AND the fact that the insufferable boys in my batch liked it so I stuck to Nancy Drew.
No Triple Header.... I may cry
That was my favourite childhood book. I think it was called "Scream of the haunted mask"
Classic Gavin ❤
This the best goosebumps series 🔥🔥🔥
“Spooky is a really strong word [to describe these books].” 😂
💚🖤 I have started collecting The Fear Street collection
You should read the Five Nights at Freddies books to see how the horror is different now than the 90s! My daughter loves the FNAF books.
"An Old Story" sounds like a great Stephen King or, let's say it, Richard Laymon, story not a Stine one.
Yeah I agree with that!
omg where did you get the ouija jumper from?
Oh if only you knew what people working at museums store at home 😂 In the 90s we had skeletons under the livingroom sofa and 50.000 year old bear poop in the freezer, among other things.
Ok someone help, was there a goosebumps that ever had a classroom where you had to swop an eye or put an eye in a bowl or something. Arghhh ty ❤

0:31 Ngl I thought this was Danny DeVito
😂😂
It takes a baby roughly 6 months to learn to crawl... how long did it take them to realize they switched the babies??!!
Please review Give Yourself Goosebumps.
I'm living for the censors!!

I think it's so funny you gave low ratings to stories that were considered top 20 episodes in a video I watched just yesterday
The episodes must have made them dramatically better haha, I should go and watch them and see what I think 👀
@@GavinReadsItAll you definitely should! Perfect school is definitely top 10 lol
