Glad you enjoyed
@@theveggieboys Going over the different types and why you grow them is great. Thanks for sharing.

Yes Andrew i real enjoy you telling us about the different verities of vegetables that you grow and why. Keep up the good work and thank you.
Do more in depth educational videos. Especially throughout the winter months. We can learn and plan for the next season.
Andrew- YES, I LOVED your explaining the various varieties you select to grow on the farm! GREAT INFORMATION!!! THANK YOU!
I definitely like hearing about the varieties you grow. I definitely want to know about those gigantic cabbages you grew! Also how you amend your soil to get the results.
Thanks for all you do.
I am very interested in more segments like this. I live in a similar climate and have been admiring your veggie yields all year. Keep them coming.
Andrew that was a great lesson on the seeds You should do that more often Thank you for the information 😃👍👍
Oh my, I just loved that gentleman say, "Am I going to be on TV?" that was just sweet!
You really have taught me a lot about gardening thank you. you and your family are very knowledgeable
Thank you Andrew I have been wanting to start a garden next year and I am learning a lot. I live in Arkansas so the imperial broccoli probably would do grow better here. Last year I did the bucket garden and most of them were tomatoes and cherry tomatoes, which are still growing and we're still getting Tommy toes or little cherry tomatoes yesterday I know it's December 18th and they're ripening which is odd. I have learned a lot from this channel and your family is awesome.
If you look online you may be able to find smaller seed packets. M stands for 1000 on the seedway website
Yes please more educational/tutorial videos! When I lived in S.E. Pa. I grew Green Comet variety that I purchased starter plants from a local incredible nursery. It grew effortlessly and after the main head was harvested it provided a good amount of side shoots. I would freeze it and we would have Broccoli well into Feb.
We never miss a show. Love watching your family farm life.
When are you going to have Veggie Boys and girls, tees available? It would be clever to have buh-bye on the back. We like the way you say it.
I’d like a 🦌 harvest report. 👍 Hope y’all had some good luck this year !!! I’d like you to talk about your hot peppers 🌶. What seeds should I buy ? See ya on the next one.
Yes Andrew I enjoy you telling the different vegetables you plant. Do you offer a total list of all types you plant?
Agreed a typed list would be nice.
Maybe a Google doc of it
I do not, but maybe we could make something
@@theveggieboys I think you should.
Also i been setting up a drip irrigation for my plants....atm I got like 40 tomato plants and about a dozen or so corn plants....many kinds to including strawberry popcorn
@@theveggieboys That would be great. Living in Connecticut the same plants should grow great,
I loved this variety conversation. My problem here in the Atlanta area is insect's, especially white flies. Would love your perspective on insect control.
In the south insects are unbearable at times
@@theveggieboys Man, you got that right. LOL!
Andrew I absolutely love your channel. I enjoy all of your videos but would love more segments like the Broccoli one. I am a new gardener and love learning all I can. Happy Holidays to you all🙂
Whooohoo yes more videos explaining your seed choices and why...Oceans of love and respect from Florida 🏖️
Great to see a family all together.
Favorite video yet! I’ve been super interested in what all you guys plant, and how much you buy to plant acres worth of crops! Would love if you continued this series with other things, such as cabbage, pepper, beets, etc. Awesome video!
Yes, absolutely would love to hear more about other vegetables/flowers you’re growing.
Yes I want to see more seed varieties and information on what you plant. I am just a home gardener but love to try different varieties of vegetables. I’ve ordered from speedway since watching your videos. I like the company.
Yes, Andrew. More segments like today where you describe recommended seeds wiuld be very helpful.
Love this Segment on the Various Vegetables that work well on your Farm. Tomatoes are Popular.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Andrew! I love gardening...love when you go indepth on specific plants! Thanks!🙂
My favourite hardworking people ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your decision making process on seeds! I grew Avenger this fall and I am so excited with the results! I had a couple of heads that were close to 5 pounds each. How about that?! Now, with the information you shared, I feel like I can make some better informed decisions about varieties. I love your channel and never miss an episode.
100% ... please do more variety review. I'm building my seed list for my tiny farm and love your variety overview. The most helpful part of this video was seeing the live video of you harvesting while you did a voiceover about the variety. You sold me on avenger ... 5.5lbs is simply crazy.
Andrew, please make more videos on the vegetables you all grow. I learned a lot from this video. Hope to start from scratch my backyard raised bed garden soon. In north Florida we can pretty much grow all year. 🙏🇺🇸🌻
Andrew thanks for talking about broccoli. I love it. I’m in Sourh Florida and recently harvested my first home grown broccoli!
What variety did you grow?
@@jksatte calabrese and Dicicco
I grow 8 varieties; 3 overwinter, an early, mid, and late season, plus something that resists bolting given I am in the maritime Pac NW. My Watcom variety planted out in October after the drought broke is forming heads now.
Got two others that will be ready in Feb through March.
So keep doing this as what works in your area probably won't work well here, but I can direct people not from my area to this.
Yes Andrew, 1000% more of these videos sir!!!
Another great video as always. But I really liked you going over the seed info. I started trying to figure out what early - mid - late veggies might work & seeing if I could figure out the spuds/potatoes options too. And I liked the explanation of the bedding too. That'd work for all of the animal's but the pig's, they like burying themselves under straw.
This was so interesting and helpful. Please do more vegetable variety videos!
"Yessssssssss! I live in Jacksonville fl, have been gardening for a few years and I love to grow new varieties of seeds. Please add growing, seed varieties, and tips and tricks to your channel. You wouldn't have to come up with next ideas on what to shoot next! Ps: I tried to order the imperium broccoli seeds; they are tooo expensive plus shipping
Really enjoy this we farm in southern colorado and good to see what other people grow. We grow imperial in many plantings due to heat.
Yes! Absolutely. I'd love to hear more in depth info on your veg varieties. You do say, sometimes, that a particular variety is better suited to the market garden than the home garden. One particular disappointment I've had is with bell peppers - thin walls and not enough size - what's your secret?
I have success with peppers in the maritime Pac NW. Key is temperature at the roots and regular moisture during fruiting. If cold settles at the roots or water is irregular, you get stressed fruiting. For the home gardener, a gallon milk jug with a few holes in the bottom filled with water will heat in the sun and dribble moister.
I had that problem when I started growing peppers 10 years ago. I saved seed only from the most productive pepper plant each year. Now I have a dependable variety that grows well for me. I get 5-6 big peppers on each plant without watering them. The secret is saving your own seed.
Peppers we can do
You Boys are Busy all Year Long! The World needs more young men like You all!
Vegetable varieties segment are so much appreciated thanks Andrew
Love your channel. Always wanted to know how old each veggie boy was when your Dad taught to how to drive the farm equipment. Bet it makes for some good stories. Also how does each variety taste!
We were young. I don’t remember the exact age lol
Id love to hear more about the types of tomatoes yall grow in summer
I have am email in my drafts folder called "Veggie Boys Seed varieties" I'm using it as a cheat sheet for my farm, haha.
Nice lol
Thank you Andrew! You are the teacher and we are the students!
Good video! Enjoyed the extra information on broccoli. I would enjoy more vegetable informational segments.
Love this type of video. Always nice to learn different varieties to grow. Thanks!
Enjoyed seeing all that lovely broccoli. Those were some huge heads!
I'd love it if you did a Q&A session. For example, I want to know if you compost. Are your chickens free range. Are there any vegetable you don't like to eat.
This year I am currently growing romanesco, rapini, and purple sprouting broccoli. I haven't had any luck with any variety on summet though. I ordered my seeds from Eden bros and Johnny's seeds
I do like the videos about varieties. I love learning about all the different kinds of veggies!
Also, teething can be miserable and I can totally understand your pain! But it will pass and new teeth are so cute!
Yes, talking about the he varieties is very very helpful
This is ALWAYS helpful, I love when fellow gardeners and farmers share secrets of the trade or what they grow. Helps us all do better!
Your father must have so much knowledge about seeds, planting and growing vegetables and crops! It’s amazing!
Would love to see all varieties you grow! Did I mention you guys are AWESOME! Thanks! 🥰
Goooood morning everybody 🙏❤️
I agree with so many other comments. This episode talking about the varieties you grow is interesting and to small gardeners quite useful. We are in central Ontario Canada. Thank you and Merry Christmas to your whole family and farm friends..
Enjoy seeing what kinds you grow to get ideas!
When a baby girl is teething, she’s getting you ready for when she is a teenager.😳😝🤣
It's early morning Coffee time down on my end☕🍵☕🇵🇭
Enjoy your weekend folks...
I agree! I enjoyed hearing about the varieties you grow and why. Thanks for sharing.
Hearing you talk a bit more about the varieties of broccoli more in depth and providing some personal insights from your actual experience was informative and greatly appreciated. I usually read as much as I can online in forums or even seed reviews to find info before I choose what to grow myself, but another opinion (especially yours) is always appreciated. Thank you! I'd love to see and hear more about crop varieties that get the Ochs seal of approval. Also, were we hoodwinked by Ralph's ID in the intro or did I just miss his actual appearance? He cracks me up every time.
I'd watch you read literally anything. I learn so much from you guys and I just enjoy watching your family. And Callie, The Veggie Baby, is already going to give you trouble. I love it. I hope to be blessed with a second grandchild in the near future. Fingers crossed. Little Callie is giving me Nana Fever? Is that a thing? I don't think that's right. But anyway. She's giving me Grandchild Fever. My one granddaughter, Autumn (🤗) is in Two year old's preschool so I don't see her that much any more. I will be watching her for Christmas Break. But, I miss the little one's. My Autumn is 2 going on 22. Anyway, yes, I would watch you read the varieties.
I’m addicted to your videos 😂, great job always. Would love to see your Italianelle pepper segment when/if you do one.
I love watching you guys pick up the sawdust. Cos I see you guys use it everyday.
Thanks you all for making 2021 easy to go through as I'm bed bound I wait and get excited to see you all ,callie first Christmas boy the joy you all will have .Blessings from lreland .
We’ve been very successful growing eastern magic broccoli under row covers in New Hampshire. The broccoli is incredibly bright green and tasty - looking forward to this year’s harvest. I like listening to the more in depth reasoning of how you make selections for the vegetables you plant.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and I hope the new year brings more sleep to all - kids are sometimes tough for that, but it gets better 😉.
Wow Andrew, nothing could be better than this, you are amazing of describing everything about broccoli. Think you could make this kind of video quite often.
Thanks a lot.
Even though I live in the Deep South I really enjoy the videos you do on the seed varieties you plant. I enjoy watching y’all’s day to day routine. Merry Christmas and God Bless you.
I LOVE this episode. Very helpful for homegrowers. Thank you.

Interesting info about broccoli, didn’t know so many varieties, wow thanks!!
Talking about veggies and why you grow.. excellent idea.. I'm interested.
I don't comment much but I have watched every video ..I think...if not I need to go look again.
Love this channel
Love your family..
Callie is Adorable..
For broccoli I've been partial to Green Magic over the past few years, you might like Gypsy in your soil for early season. I grow Imperial when it gets hotter because it grows slow in cold weather. I've thought about a late fall variety called Emerald Crown, but I might also give Avenger a try after seeing how big your heads get.
We’ve planted green magic before. Great variety
It’s great to hear of your experience with different varieties. Please continue to tell us about your plant varieties selections process more detail the better
definitely appreciate the broccoli tutorial. please do more😁
Really like your channel. Been in the garden for most of my 67 years. Still learning new things.
Would love more videos on this! And videos on how/what you use to fertilize in the greenhouse and in the field.
Pest control is also a subject I’m curious what you guys do for vegetables!
Andrew , it was interesting to learn that there are so many varieties of this vegetable ! Thanks for the info on this . You can do more videos like this .
I love this segment!! Do more of these, please!
I don’t know what I did to get into this broccoli ted talk ... but I enjoyed it non the less
from my mom: love hearing about varieties you grow. Some catalogues don't have small amounts of seeds for home gardens.
I would love to see more videos like this where you talk about different varieties. I would like to hear more about your methods of pest control as well. This might be my favorite video yet!!
Really enjoyed the variety info, would love to see more. God bless.
I’m a new farmer and it’s great to hear what experienced growers are using. Thanks

I loved this variety conversation.
It was a very informative video. I have farmed most of my life and always like hearing what others plant. I am going to try some of the varietys you mentioned. Callie was on a roll. Her mouth hurting she ain't got time for all that mess. Y'all stay safe.b
