Grandpa looked like he could use a Calli break carrying that last basket of pepper to the bin. A longer period to harvest means yall don't get much of a break before planning next years plantings...including test plots.

For the average gardener finding odd shaped veggies is a rare thing. Since y'all have so many plants you guys find neat things all the time. You should display them or take photos of them to display on a board at your shop or make a collage of them on here! Love the eggplant with googly eyes and a nose!

I miss sitting down eating with the entire family at super. I'm old enough that it was a very important part of my upbringing. My dad always said that the only two things that are truly yours is your family and the good memories of your family. Two things that no one can ever take from you. He was right. I remember when the last piece of chicken was on the plate he would make my older brothers arm wrestle for it while I ate it lol. Catch them not looking and it was gone 😂. Now they knew what was going to happen but my brothers did all that to get me to eat better. I didn't like to eat when I was younger and they knew I needed it to be healthy so they played along and it got me to eat a good meal.

I'm in SC were all bewildered but then I do have cousins in Scranton and all around. I remember the good old days been back a few times if we get through next planting season I sure would love to come and visit. God bless you all I need a ref. truck and bring back Brussels of veggies. My canning would be so much easier. Do you ever think about selling seed . I'm only on a small 8 acres and we are way behind but I did for hubby therapy start back a garden and canning this year , he has bad PTSD from Vietnam. I used to have a Aunt that worked at Good Heinz , bologna withers ham sweet and regular Lebanon bologna. Sure miss willow valley restaurant, dad always had shufly pie I'm a blueberry,huckleberry girl myself. I plan on making life alot easier next year I could get everything I cant find down here at your wonderful farm. Really love the hard work and ethics Thank a farmer we pray the crazy bill in gov. Our aunt & uncle had a dairy farm and I still remember drinking raw cows milk. By the end of the week we almost got use to it.

What a busy growing year for your family
Love late season mild peppers. Vacuum seal bag them after chopping. Even put in the seeds. Goes good n stews with hamburger or pork in winter. Adds lots of color n flavor plus all 5he vitamins n minerals of summer veggies

Living in CA., we pay $1.25 for green bells. Orange, yellow & red bells go from $1.75 to $2.50 per pepper.

Once you start picking it becomes a survival situation for the plant to produce seed. God built them that way.
