Love this video, been listening to these guys forever and love the techniques you showed in this video. Would love to see a video on Two Shell their music is crazy and all over the place and would love to see a breakdown or technique on some of the things they do.
@@hollowgroundproductions 😂trials and tribulations of perfectionism... but, hoping to have something over to you very soon. On another note just bought the Arla pack. Any chance you can do a vid on anything from Lapalux's amnioverse album. Voltaic acid would be my preference, but the focus would be his sick sound design, breaks, and those spacey acid lines!
@@danielmowatt1785 it is absolutely part of the plan to do Lapalux, particularly from Amnioverse, as I damn well love that album. But I've had a few runs at some of the tracks, with some solid stuff for people to learn from, but its far from roadworthy. Ain't putting it out there until it's actually worth something. Pretty challenging stuff, as so much of the texture and ideas are born out of creating hours of audio content from modular gear experiments and then stripping back. Doing a rigid tutorial to land on the same exact timbre of the music on that album seems counter-intuitive. Also, i go by inspiration, and right now, i'm not feeling that album, so i gotta give it time, boss!! It's gonna happen though ;)
so many great tips in this video thank you, anyone in the comments - is there any good alternatives to Operator to create similar womps for those of us that don't have suite?
This rules. Would love to see a video on 1tbsp (that geezer is killing it rn imo) or Lxury, but appreciate if that's a bit niche. Maybe some classic DnB like LTJ Bukem? Whatever, anything u make a video on is sick anyways.
your videos are always sooo good, thank you for the serious game you been putting us on! would love to see a video on ivy lab or mr carmack :D keep it up
Ok. Listened to their stuff. "Profit", not gonna lie, I absolutely hated it!!! But "Celeste" was really beautiful ( in fact Infinite Falling Ground as a whole is a really nice EP.
And Mr Carmack...Trap ain't my thing , but Demolish is a very interesting album, unique sound design on the drums. I reckon I could get alot of those results in Ableton....shame both will have to get bumped to the end of the queue ( which is coming up on 2 years long now 😆 🤣) Unless you contact me for the personal treatment, of course 😉!
Honestly, i feel I've spent enough time on Future Garage with my videos on Burial, which you should check out. You could also check out Julien Earle's videos on future garage. He landed on a sound very close to Vacant
Nah...its Ableton stock EQ Eight, 2 Glue Compressors, MB compressor, saturator, and another EQ Eight.. each one of them with subtle parameters to just give the drums a squeeze. There are generic parameters which are good to apply on any group, like a "Fat Rack" but it has to be tweeked to fit the sound, the samples in the group and the harmonics.
Interesting criticism. I'll leave bigger gaps between talking so the changes can be heard in future vids. But let me tell you, the voice ain't getting any less loud!!
One of the best channels I've ever seen, and I've been watching music production like 8 years ago
the pitched down hat as a snare worked really well ... will deff use that trick personally 💞
one of the best production channels out there.
Another great video mate. No nonsense, straight to the point and with production knowledge fired at us like an uzi. Keep em comming!

Never heard of then, and just spent 20 mins browsing their Bandcamp EPs. You weren't kidding! Crazy stuff! Some of it is really raw!
@@hollowgroundproductions 👀
This is just fantastic
literally just seen them live in manchester - impeccable timing
Long-awaited... Bangers on the way.
I hope you mean from YOU, Dan!! I am dying to hear your new stuff! It's been a minute.

nice work, thanks a lot. These guys one of my favorite acts!
Amazing vids. The one thing that could make them better is adding time markers so it's a bit easier to jump to certain parts of a song.
Such a good tutorial. Can’t wait to get my teeth into this! Thank you
Love this, once again producing the goods!! Big Love
a lot of good stuff in this one, cheers Gavin
Welcome!
@@hollowgroundproductionson a related note, would you mind saying which sample pack all those ‘UK2S’ samples come from? Cheers
This is such a good video. Surely a Joy Orbison is in the works!
awesome result, man!

ivy lab, man! listen to some older stuff, production gold there 🏅
you should do a video on golden features - best deep house out there
Great as per usual mate
So good. Love it!
Thank you!!
sick aesthetics !
Love your vids. Wondering if you'd consider making a video about how to make music like GAS?
Never heard of. You wanna gimme some directions, or song/album recommendations? I'd love to check them out.
@@hollowgroundproductions also good documentary on YT called "GAS - The Image of the Forest / a short documentary"
Genuinely one of the best breakdowns I’ve ever seen mate! Amazing work. Could you do one on 1tbsp?
Thanks!
No problem, lad!
Hello - is the MIDI pack still available to buy?
how do you get hold of the vocals / acapella for Gunk ?
Brainrot editing but in the best way possible. God this drum mixing advice is gonna be a nightmare to replicate in FL but fuck it we move.
tutorials from your page got subtitles?
could we get a dub techno tutorial 👀
beautiful. how to make music like vacant?

what is in your mixdown effect chain?

YOU FECK OFF!!

This would have been a great tutorial if you could have cut the cr*p with all these flickering video effects, this is practically unwatchable.
bro i cant hear the changes/clips over your loud ass voice lmao
