About £500 max And at present using virtual DJ But looking at getting a software like serato to have timecodes for the scratch course or is there another software to look at Thanks for getting back to me
You'll struggle at £500, I'm guessing you'll probably want 4 channels with DVS compatibility. If you can push your budget a bit you could check out the Roland 707M, or perhaps just a digital mixer like the Numark Scratch to sit between your turntables and plug into a laptop
if i buy a used inpulse 500 off facebook or some other place, do i need a code for dejuced or is it like the flx4 where there's no code and it's built into the controller itself?
Hi. Can you help please? I'm really interested between this and the Numark Platinum FX. But the only thing that is stopping me from purchasing the platinum fx is the limitor lights on the controller are all red (instead of green, orange and red) so I'm assuming the first and second bar is green? The third and fourth is orange? And last one is red? I like that the Hercules has long wide coloured limitors. I have expensive mixers, PA tops, subs, and studio monitors and I keep a very close eye on the limitors all of the time. Can you help me please?
@@digitaldjtips brilliant mate. Thanks alot for that. On my way home now with my new Platinum Fx. Its my first controller and I've been wanting to dj for years and years. Am upgrading mine been using numark party mix, been good to start with, but I can't record my mixes on it, using serato dj Pro. Can I record my mixes with the Herculese.
You can record your mixes if you're using Serato Pro (it's nothing to do with the controller being used, it's the software that allows recording), the only way you wouldn't be able to is if you're using a streaming service in Serato as recording is then disabled
I upgraded to the Hercules but I'm having real problems with no sound coming through the headphones and I'm really struggling with this problem, has it happened to any anyone else out there if so how did you fix it, thanks
It's hard to say whilst knowing basically nothing about you or why you want it - if you just want to learn DJing for fun then it's a great controller to get started on, the gear isn't that important to buy it and crack on with actually learning how to DJ
Any deal on the pads will be the same as the buffer settings in Serato. they should work fine as drum pads, but bear in mind they "click" when pressed, which may not be what you want.
If the unit is class compliant (it almost definitely is) then yes, you can. The question is what software you'd use. It will work with Algoriddim's djay for iOS, but you may need to map it yourself.
Now mapped by algoriddim and working. Controls djay pro 100%, however djay pro controls ~66% of the hardware features; Djay pro AI leaves alot of the nice little functions of the Hercules 500 unused. i have used the free djuced with the mouse and keyboard. When ill buy this and plug it into djuced, does it connect for free automatically?
Should do yes (you might have to download a free update)
Hello I'm after getting a controller that allows me to put my turntables onto it aswell can you recommend one
Just signed up to DJ classes put want to upgrade before I start
Hopefully you can help
Cheers
What's your budget and what software do you want to use?
About £500 max
And at present using virtual DJ
But looking at getting a software like serato to have timecodes for the scratch course or is there another software to look at
Thanks for getting back to me
You'll struggle at £500, I'm guessing you'll probably want 4 channels with DVS compatibility. If you can push your budget a bit you could check out the Roland 707M, or perhaps just a digital mixer like the Numark Scratch to sit between your turntables and plug into a laptop
It looks amazing
Agreed, it's a great looking controller!
Is there a sync button?
Yep!
if i buy a used inpulse 500 off facebook or some other place, do i need a code for dejuced or is it like the flx4 where there's no code and it's built into the controller itself?
No code, just download and use👍🏼
Just don't let the lights hit the top and you'll be fine, this is a digital signal it's either clipping or it isn't
@@digitaldjtips brilliant mate. Thanks alot for that. On my way home now with my new Platinum Fx. Its my first controller and I've been wanting to dj for years and years. Even though I did my end of year party at the university of Leeds for my accommodation when I was there for 300 people+ I just used my mixers and pa setup. Glad I can do it professionally and Can't wait to use it 😊😀
Have fun with it!
What is that mysterious "reserved" port at the back?
We have no idea, will be interesting to see what they come up with for it!
When is this available worldwide or at least here in Australia?
You'd have to check in with Hercules about that one Cris
Amazon.
can you use Rekordbox with this controller?
No
Am upgrading mine been using numark party mix, been good to start with, but I can't record my mixes on it, using serato dj Pro. Can I record my mixes with the Herculese.
You can record your mixes if you're using Serato Pro (it's nothing to do with the controller being used, it's the software that allows recording), the only way you wouldn't be able to is if you're using a streaming service in Serato as recording is then disabled
@@digitaldjtips Thanks. I can't record with the party mix which is a bit annoying
I upgraded to the Hercules but I'm having real problems with no sound coming through the headphones and I'm really struggling with this problem, has it happened to any anyone else out there if so how did you fix it, thanks
Odd, not a problem we had
Hmmm... I am digging this controller 😏 might need to check it out.
You should :)
How do you change the pitch range? Anyone please 🙏🏼
What is best this or Numark platinum FX? I m new and I want to get my first console
Either will be great for you as a new DJ :)
is there a TRANS fx and Echo out with DJUCED?
Check out the manual, they list all the FX available and how to use them: www.djuced.com/user-manual/ section 5.7
It is currently on sale in my grocery store for 259 bucks. Should i go for it?
Its a good price
@@digitaldjtips should i buy it??
It's hard to say whilst knowing basically nothing about you or why you want it - if you just want to learn DJing for fun then it's a great controller to get started on, the gear isn't that important to buy it and crack on with actually learning how to DJ
@@digitaldjtips well, i like to scratch, beatmatch and cut.. i like the rgb too
Sounds like it'll be a good fit for you :)
Yu made me wanna purchase this
Glad to hear it :)
Hi does this controller work 100% with VDJ please
Yes it does
If I already have serato dj pro can I just connect this straight away or do I have to use a new serato setup?
You'll need to update to the latest version but your normal Serato Pro license will be fine
For some reason this controller is not listed on the option for serato dj pro & I'm not getting it to work :( . Work fine with djuiced .
Check again later today...
Can use it with virtual dj
www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/hercules/inpulse500/index.html
Am getting this
Cool!
Can we connect this controller with rekordbox for free
No you can't
does this has a headphone jack like the inpulse 400? to listen the next track before outputting it into the mix?
Yes, in front 2 headphones Jack 6.35 and 3.5, with a Cue knob to manage what you want to listen on the headphone
Thanks for helping out Steven
Wassup Phil! Nice unit.
Hi Papa Tullo
Should I get SB3 or the Impulse 500? I can't decide 😭
Platinum fx
It genuinely makes little difference Richard, either would be a great controller to get started with
Hi, please can the performance pads
Work as drum pads and respond without delay while drumming?
Any deal on the pads will be the same as the buffer settings in Serato. they should work fine as drum pads, but bear in mind they "click" when pressed, which may not be what you want.
@@digitaldjtips thanks for the response, which works better as drum pads in this and the ddj sb3
Do you prefer impulse 400 or platinum fx for an indimidiate dj?
Platinum FX.
@@digitaldjtips I was wrong.... I mean impulse 500 or platinum fx which is the best?
We knew what you meant, still the Platinum FX
'all have really good quality knobs' 😂
😅
And how do I do Slip (Reverse) ⬅️⬅️⬅️?
You'll have to map it
Can you use an iPad Pro 2020 with appropriate cable connector?
If the unit is class compliant (it almost definitely is) then yes, you can. The question is what software you'd use. It will work with Algoriddim's djay for iOS, but you may need to map it yourself.
Now mapped by algoriddim and working.
Controls djay pro 100%, however djay pro controls ~66% of the hardware features;
Djay pro AI leaves alot of the nice little functions of the Hercules 500 unused. Those little LEDs we love to see lighting up especially in dark environments are OFF
1. The ring LED on the rotary selector OFF
2. The 2 big white deck 1/2 activity indicator LEDs OFF
3. The 4 little white-lit FX buttons OFF
4. The green lit writings for TEMPO & BEAT ALIGN OFF
5. THE 8 white/red directional arrows OFF
6. The white-lit Quantize button OFF
Will it work with virtual DJ 2021?
I'm sure it will yes
Is there a road case available for this yet?
Not that we've seen but we'll keep an eye out
This vs the new FLX 6 which one is better?
This - it is twice the price for starters.
How does this controller work with vdj
fine
Has it been released?
Available the end of this month, you can probably already order if it you take a look
seems like a great option for Djay Pro AI these days.
Maybe
This or DJ FLX4? I can't really decide
FLX4 work more/different software, this is bigger, if that helps.
Im having issues with the wheels prompting on all my serato. I tried Lite and Pro and none of them are working. I downloaded the Inpulse drive off their website and it doesn't work yet. Anyone can help me?
" with the wheels prompting on all my serato" What do you mean?
Can you elaborate on your possessed issue please?
