THANK you for the video. Very helpful. The low E string is very squirrelly, so it makes sense.
That's why I make this...so great to hear it was helpful
Thank you for posting this. I just looked at several other videos on it and nobody bothered to explain it. 🤘
really glad it was helpful
Thank you for posting this. I bought one but I wasn't sure I was doing it right. It was gard getting it just right.
I'm so glad it was helpful to you!
Do you count it as "in tune" when the strobe stops at the picking of the note, or during the sustain of the note after the picking?
In general you want the strobe squares to stay in place during sustain. I've observed (through years of tuning guitars) that the lower strings in particular can vary in tuning at the moment of attack (especially if you are picking too hard)
the thing i have learned is that the first 3 seconds after you pluck the string is the key the longer the tone sustains the more confused the tuner gets
I think there's always a sweet spot with tuners. Right after you strike a note, especially with lower strings, the pitch may be distorted by the attack of the pick, and there's a point in the sustain where the note becomes difficult for the tuner to read
Also bought this tuner and cannot figure out how to turn it OFF.
hold down the same button you used to turn it on until the screen goes off.
I am trying to get use to this tuner. I know it is supposed to be more accurate. Putting it is the standard tuning more was critical. I still struggle with it vs my regular “meter” tuner. I guess it just takes practice and patience. Kinda like learning to play. You gave some good tips. Like using the sustain note after you pluck it. I’ll keep trying.
