    The strobostomp is the only tuner I’ve used in five years. No issues. Makes intonation as close to perfect as you can get it, provided your frets are levels and have a good nut. A must for any professional musician with ANY string instrument. I’m not even in the market for one, but I’m watching this video anyway because I love my Peterson🤣

    I've been using Peterson strobe tuners for almost 20 years - first one I got was a Peterson VS-II and immediately fell in love with the GTR Sweetened tuning.
    Our acoustic rhythm guitarist was skeptical when I started using it and thought it was overkill (he was using the old Boss TU style;) he used it once and was so blown away that every rehearsal and performance he would come over and beg to use the Peterson - to the point I finally said, "Dude! Get your own!"
    I still use an old blue Strobostomp on stage but am planning on getting an HD as the visibility looks so much better - only downside to my old VS-S Stomp style is the contrast on the screen is not very sharp.

    Yeah I grabbed the stroboclip HD and it blew every other tuner I had amassed trying to get something decent. It was so good I went and grabbed a strobostomp HD and the stroboclip is exactly as accurate. Being in proper tune is the difference between sounding good and sounding professional.

    It's one thing to dominate a niche industry, but... to do it for decades of unchallenged supremacy is something else. At pretty much any point in modern music history, ask any tech or engineer best tuner you can get.... Peterson strobe tuner is the answer.
    1960's What is the best tuner you can get? Peterson Strobe
    1970s Whats the best tuner you can get? Peterson Strobe
    1980's What's the best tuner you can get? Peterson Strobe
    1990's Whats the best tuner you can get? Peterson Strobe
    2000's What's the best tuner you can get? Peterson Strobe
    you get the idea.That's a helluva long time to maintain a 'best' reputation.
    Also, next Peterson product review.... may I suggest a Spaceballs reference? Stroboclip HD had the Ghostbusters 2 deep cut, well played, here you go to Bob and Doug.... Rick Moranis emerges as the common thread, so.... Spaceballs next? Review the Stroboclip HDC, Peterson, hook him up, I want to know if it's worth the extra $30 above the HD price...
    I am like you. I like good quality gear and got tired of screwing around with garbage gear long ago. I lost a Korg tuner I really liked, I could replace with the same thing but... screw it, step up and get the best their is for a few bucks extra. I want a clip tuner, and that means Peterson Stroboclip. HD? Or HDC? The only remaining question. Kind of like you mention, I want this to be my last clip on tuner ever. End game tuner. Buy it and be done because even in 30 years, no one will have anything better or more accurate. So in that mind set and criteria your options narrow to down to Peterson, Peterson, or Peterson. And that's about it. I haven't decided which exact model yet, but Peterson is selling a tuner regardless.
    And I can't find enough info contrasting the HD and HDC, hence... Peterson, hook the man up with an HDC so he can review it for me and compare them!

    • @TheRecordist
      @TheRecordist 4 месяца назад +1

      Hahaha. Man I just loved reading this. I think the same way you do! I also lay out buying decisions the exact same way! Hahaha.
      I answered your question in your other post about the differences between HDC AND HD, so check that out.
      As far as getting an HDC for review, I am absolutely game! I would just need to contact Marshall over at Peterson and he will likely send one right over. They’re fabulous people at Peterson. Great company.
      And if I do get another Peterson’s tuner to review, I will ABSOLUTELY do a Spaceballs (another Rick Moranis) reference, just for you! Haha. Great idea!
      Thanks!

    I got a package deal from Sweetwater from both the board tuner and the clip on version. They are overall great tuners. On the board, I have to angle it up or the display gets unreadable. Sometimes it can be a little finicky or slow to respond, but not bad. It is not perfect but yes, VERY accurate so likely it is the best on the market. I am happy with it. I can change to Monitor Mode from the screen. Do I also need to change the physical switch- not sure it even has one. Have not opened up that area yet. It is a 2022 model Strobostomp HD.

    • @TheRecordist
      @TheRecordist 6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! Congrats! Yes, the viewing angle is a thing. But generally, on pedal boards, there is a slight incline and it’s no problem.
      What do you mean change the physical switch?

    • @UTAH100
      @UTAH100 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheRecordist The sliding switch by the battery. I assume mine has one- have not checked. I can change everything from the menu. Monitor, Bypass mode, etc. I like setting the mute As Last State so in most cases, it turns on when I turn it on. I also use it in a monitor mode so I can see and adjust tuning (often.) I think I have to fix my guitars. They seem to go out way too often. Maybe new strings or tighting up the action on the Trem bar/springs can help. I am sure a fixed bridge would stay in tune better. If not, maybe a new nut or bigger slots or graphite in them so the strings slide better.

      The Peterson TP3 is a contact pickup that you can use with their tuners. It's $15~ and will let you tune acoustic instuments like banjos and pianos that don't have pickups. The StroboStomp Classic has all the features of the HD but also adds XLR out plus an additional pad so you can use it as a DI. The downside of the Classic is the size compared to the HD.
