Nice! I was thinking of buying those calipers to my RG, but this video made me change my mind. I am gonna do what you did - really looking great. Nice touch!
At first I wasn't sure but it indeed added the right amount of red to it without all of the expense and added labor. This inspired me as well. My plan is to buy a can of brilliant red and paint the grills. My bike is blacked out as well (18'FLTRXS). Very practical idea.
I was looking to do some accents upgrades to match my bike and was thinking the same when I bought my 19 Limited Industrial Gray/Black with a Blood strip. Thanks
Looks awesome Sandy, great video! I actually had the same thought after seeing John’s video since I have red accents on my 2020 CVO street glide and now that you did it and saw how great it came out, I’m in! Thanks!
Awesome Sandy! I had not thought of just painting the grill. You inspired me; gonna do it on my 19 Electraglide Std next weekend. As usual, great video Sandy. Thanks man!
I also got the idea from John and painted mine wicked red to match my ultra limited wicked red. Just makes the bike stand out. Just another good suggestion from the dynamic dueo keep up the good work!
I might try it, but I have more chrome on my bike, so maybe not, but Note to self.. test spray on clean, hard, ultra flat, solid surface to color match..and to Tape surface of fender next to metal screen that is going to be popped off.. and paint inside of of screen first..looks nice on your bike, but never understood or identified the it looks "sick" comments that so many use
Hey Sandy, you had me thinking you were gonna unbolt your caliper and paint them hanging them on the bike without disconnecting the brake hydraulic line. I have to say spraying the caliper grilles looks great. I would suggest for anyone else considering it to get a rattle can from an Auto Paint Supply shop. Many can scan the colour (canadian spelling) off your bike and load a rattle can. Then I would suggest spraying clear over them to give them a deeper wet look like the red on the tank. just 2 cents from a former auto body tech
Looks good Sandy, just enough red to give that pop you were looking for. Do you plan on eliminating some of the chrome to have a nice balance of black/red/chrome?
Are the Harley badges on your calipers "engraved"? Of they are maybe you could use the paint you bought with a brush to make them look like the Kahuna badge on the air cleaner... just a thought..
Looks terrific! Just got my new 2020 SGS in Vivid Black. Am going to paint mine black to complement the totally blacked out front end. I realize light coats; but how many coats on each side did you do? Did you rough up the surface before painting? A suggestion: look at chrome rocker box bolt covers. I did it on my 2017 SGS. Really dresses up the engine. Keep up the good work.
thx for the video, but if you want to make that next time , hang off the parts and paint them, at first the inner paint than the outer paint, and a tip the caps of the sprays show you what kind of red is the colour ;) but nice bike nice details i made the same to mine cvo
Again, no one does DIY better than you professor. Keep em coming
Thanks sir!
@@HOLYSHIFT dont you dare go and wrap your bike like your buddy.
Hey Sandy, I can't believe I missed this video. But man what an eye catcher. Nice work.
Nice job Sandy, I love your excitement!! Bike is looking good.
Looks good! Should’ve tried some clear give it the wet look like your tank!
Great idea! I have a 2020 EG Standard as well, but did not want to pay HD for the red calipers.
Nice! I was thinking of buying those calipers to my RG, but this video made me change my mind. I am gonna do what you did - really looking great. Nice touch!
Happy I saved you some money and time. 👍🏻
What a great idea. And simple. Definitely doing this, thanks for sharing the info.

A small touch!

Cool , easy and very nice outcome

Simple , easy , neat- thanks 🙏🏻
Great choice on adding some contrast. I’d recommend using a proper self etching primer and clear coat for best results. Even still, I really like it!
I love it. I ride the 2020 Electra Glide Standard and I may do this on mine. Your bike looks bad ass. Thanks for sharing this. Take Care.
Happy to share and inspire!
Think I will do this little upgrade but do it in black as my bike is red (candy hot rod red flake) and would be impossible to match.
That looks awesome! About to do the same on my 2020 EGS.
Love it. Simple ,cheap upgrade that looks great.
Thanks buddy

Thanks 🙏🏻. I bet it looks real good!
You gave me a great idea, so I did 2020 electraglide standard looks great very nice 👍👍
Like your video. I’m gonna do it to mine.
Have you got a videotape of removing your catalytic converter without cutting
And welding!
Thank you!
Holy crap! That looks awesome!! Inspiring me to possibly steal the idea!!!
You should!

Great match with the tank Harley logo 🤙🏾

Cool- I wondered what was the name of that color! Yeah clear coat at end would make it look like a pro job
Great idea. Painting mine as we speak!!!!

Don’t know about eliminating completely... maybe here and there....
@@HOLYSHIFT yup that’s what I meant.
Pretty cool little touch!🤙🇺🇸
Nice job.. i was going to do the same thing but then decided to paint the caliper instead..
Caliper painting is the big boy league! That’s an awesome look ! The brake fluid - so corrosive... peels paint off if not careful!
Are the Harley badges on your calipers "engraved"? Of they are maybe you could use the paint you bought with a brush to make them look like the Kahuna badge on the air cleaner... just a thought..
Kahuna design - gone ! I switched to Black Screamin Eagle
Ha, funny i have the same bike and I was thinking the same.. was looking up how to take that screen off and came across this video 👍
Great job, I think it looks perfect.
Hey Sandy that looks Really nice 👍! Next up Axel Covers YaY.......
I have the same bike and I’m for sure doing this.
Do it man 👍🏻💪🏻
That looks really good!
Thanks

Keep up the good work.
Cleaned them with grease remover, then 2 coats of paint only...
Gotta do more than one coat bub.
Another nice touch! Looking good enjoying your videos!
Had the same idea in gold to match my gold pin stipe , can you tell me if you toughed them up with sand paper at all & is the paint holding out
Still holding. A bit scuffing with Scotchbrite pad , or steel wool
@@HOLYSHIFT love the content i utube you & john alot
Thanks from Australia riding 15 road glide special & a 19 breakout
Nice job ! Looks great
Pretty cool little touch!🤙🇺🇸
