What an unfair advantage held by the modders!" Apparently according to your genius having MORE money makes developing a game HARDER, if that's the case surely Bethesda would have an easier time making a better game if they only worked with unpaid volunteers, handed out the game for free and did no major advertising for it
This is why it's better to make a meaningful, memorable game than a trendy one. So many years later, and people still pour effort in recreating this gem.
Man I’d drop $60 for this. This needs so much funding. Bethesda said they couldn’t reuse voice lines, so they remade them. That right there is so much effort in itself. They gotta be getting revenue from somewhere.
@@michaelt7987I know that, and I don't want a Bethesda remaster. I want new vegas in FO4s engine. @@oliverf.9955 The original New Vegas crew were game developers who worked on this full time as a job + they already had many premade assets which they used from Fallout 3. This is being made by modders in their free time and they have to remake every single asset so it looks good and up to standards for the Fallout 4 engine.
Cazadors were nightmares for me... until I realized you can just spray at them with full-auto weapons and almost always cripple a wing. It's a rare thing for a game to reward volume of fire over accuracy, and usually New Vegas doesn't either. But against cazadors.... you just want to put as much ammo as possible down range, as fast as possible.
Someone spent an exhausting amount of time syncing the music to the gunshots/reloads. I don't know who that person is, but whoever you are, you are wonderful at what you do, and our world is a little brighter because of you.
Aw man, reading that made my day! :) I had the honor of editing this trailer. It was a painstaking process, but only for a little while and it pales in comparison to the effort our team has gone through to produce the content itself. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@tostikaas good job mate, I know how hard that is. I'm compositing a lot In After Effects and sometimes I have to do that. So yeah, syncing gunshots is pretty obvious thing to do and many people do so but much harder is actually keeping the pacing of action showed in trailer and can I say how much I enjoyed the parts when the action crosses with running sections (perspective changing)? That was fun :) but I might be biased because I'm complete new vegas nutcase xd Anyways it's a trailer well done.
For those new to the video, this mod apparently is still being worked on to this day but also remember the original New Vegas game was worked on by somewhere around 50 - 100 people for two years with all of the modern equipment they would need to make it at the drop of a hat at Obsidian. This is a group of modders probably less than 50 working on this in their spare time and have been plugging away to remake the game on their own dollar for years and years now to do the job of 50+ people. Not to mention, they're modernizing the experience of the game as much as they can while providing their own original voice work and general audio due to legal issues with Bethesda, creating new and existing weapons from scratch, designing old and new enemies, etc, etc. It's going to be an almost uniquely original New Vegas experience all on its own and even Bethesda devs have openly blessed the project on social media...it's just going to take time. It'd be like if you and your friends one day looked around...and then decided to remake a AAA game in your garage.
@@HUNK_FS Yeah, it's amazing how passionate these teams are. One of the other reasons Fallout 4 New Vegas and Capital Wasteland for that matter have taken so long is that Bethesda themselves have hired some of the more talented folks that were working on both projects over the years. This of course set the mods back and almost completely killed the Capital Wasteland team at one point but, both are still being worked on presently.

I haven’t paused a teaser trailer so many times in my life. You have surpassed every expectation I had and then some. I had no idea how far along you actually were and it blows my mind.
The fact that I can immediately tell the location that it's supposed to be from NV says 2 things: 1. I have spent way too many hours into New Vegas (no ragrets). 2. They are making a fantastic job at recreating said locations in the newer engine. I have high hopes for this mod *sniff*
It's just great! I've watched this trailer several times! Our entire community is looking forward to your project! Thank you very much for giving us this opportunity!
I hope they remove as many of the doors as possible in terms of places like fortification hill, the strip. Even small places like buildings in small towns. Imagine good springs without loading screens and the buildings are already loaded. Then stretch that to the rest of the game as much as possible. Like uh, breath of the wild. Only when it’s needed.
Same with the Strip, without the doors separating the 3 areas it feels ridiculously small for how much it’s hyped up - however, the doors also make quests in which you go from one side of the strip to another absolutely unbearable
There are some great mods out there. I just started a new fallout 4 playthrough with sim settlements 2 and I'm amazed by how seamlessly it fits in with the base game. It has it's own content, fully voiced characters, whole new locations and levels.
maybe it will actually work in Fallout 4, instead of having to play through the entire dlc only for the guy to stand in the elevator and never leave, making you stuck in the vault and having to reload you save all the way back to before entering the BoS bunker and loosing a good few hours of progress

I mean, the whole video is just brilliantly done, the rhythm of the walking shots perfectly matching the bounciness of the chorus, lots of matches between lyrics and visuals, sound effects landing on hard notes, a perfect (and obscure) song selection... there's hardly a bad moment in here. There's a lot of professionally produced trailers that aren't nearly this good, I hope whoever cut this gets to put it on their resume because they deserve to paid a fuckton for their skills.

There is definitely some serious effort by folks that have actual firearms knowledge to make the gunplay/reloading animations more realistic. Looks awesome!
Definitely, I nerd out hard about that and I loved this. I had to rewatch the quick-cut reloading bit in slow motion to take it all in, I particularly liked the service rifle's dust cover and the reworked proportions of the 10mm pistol. Super stoked for this project!
@@WhoIsJoeShmoe I agree. What's even more annoying is when I post a gripe regarding |insert game centered on firearm action here|, I'll get a slew of replies saying "who cares if it's not right!", followed by a slew of excuses. In my mind, if you're not going to get the gunplay accurate in your game where firearms are top of the list of items in the game, you might as well make them bright pink with orange tips and have the sound effects be mouth noises, because those have about the same effect on immersion. And usually, those same people that don't care about the gunplay being spot on have some other gripe about some other feature not being realistic or pertinent enough
@@AreYouFinnished To be fair, one of the most prominent firearms in the series started out as a magazine fed revolver. The mechanical feasibility of that aside, it's just inherently goofy Also there's a pretty goddamn thick line between complaining about the hunting rifle having a left handed bolt and just saying 'fuck it, it's NERF or nothing'.
@@username1660 Don't forget the rest of my argument! I don't have any issues with the made up weapons. Obviously there aren't minigun backpacks, 5.56 revolvers, man portable nuclear launchers, laser rifles, or magazine fed revolvers etc. If there are meant to be real firearms in the game, as there are, and New Vegas illustrated real firearms more than any other game, keep it real. Don't go limp on the animations. That's my argument. Don't get lazy on something that any podunk firearm instructor can teach in 2 hours. It ruins immersion to see such lazy mechanics and it certainly adds to the laundry list of cut corners in modern titles. Some game designers argue that its intentional, to prevent folks from learning firearm handling from the games they play. Whether intentional or not, it only contributes to this idea that guns bad! While cashing in on the coolness of guns. Just make it a nerf gun at that point
@@AreYouFinnished I'm sorry, but you're using New Vegas as your example of 'not going limp on animations'? And on the topic of New Vegas, isn't it weird that pretty much every US service weapon based on the AR platform in Fallout land for some reason have aftermarket side charging uppers? I'd rather not touch on that diatribe about how inaccuracies are now somehow an actual anti-gun message but here goes: In all likelihood it's not be the complaints of inaccuracies themselves that get your type jeered at, it's the effort which which you go about it. Ascribing politically motivated subtext to something that more likely resulted from someone just not giving that much of a shit how a gun actually feeds is pretty laughable to your average person. And don't get me wrong, I'm not making a dig at you, the same could be said of most complaints regarding games nowadays. The inclusion of a black person immediately being heralded as 'le essjaydubya propaganda' instead of just adding a bit of diversity to a character roster without trying to send a message is equally silly.
@@gamesandthoughts2388 we’re still working on it! I work on animations and some textures with the mod. Going on three years since I started helping! :)

I LOVE cazadors (cazadores?) With a high precision weapon they are my favorite target for vats. Just aim at their antenae and they will kill eachother in a few hits, the last one standing often dying from poison. Otherwise a good shotgun blast to their big target wings cripples them so they can only crawl towards you. I hate Radscorpions and Night Stalkers more, the first for their armor, the last for their speed and ocasional invisibility.
The fact that I can recognize all these locations gives me the warm fuzzies. The cazadores give me just the right amount of anxiety, and is that the old deathclaw design I see? Cazadors were nightmares for me... until I realized you can just spray at them with full-auto weapons and almost always cripple a wing. But against cazadors.... you just want to put as much ammo as possible down range, as fast as possible.

The mechanical feasibility of that aside, it's just inherently goofy
Also there's a pretty goddamn thick line between complaining about the hunting rifle having a left handed bolt and just saying 'fuck it, it's NERF or nothing'.
I'd rather not touch on that diatribe about how inaccuracies are now somehow an actual anti-gun message but here goes:
In all likelihood it's not be the complaints of inaccuracies themselves that get your type jeered at, it's the effort which which you go about it.

Y’all are obviously doing an absolutely stellar job with this, and I’m very, very excited for it!
Also, whoever put this trailer together really knocked it out of the park. Bravo!
Around 1000 hours of FONV for me. Can't wait for this revamp to be available :)
I'm just so in love with the work you guys have been doing... literally dedicating YEARS of your lives to a passion project! I would give you a chance at a standing ovation from all of us playing the so called 'mod' (since it is so much more) We love you F4NV TEAM!!
Right...giving standing ovation and pouring prasies for something that hasn't even released yet! That is so smart! Like we haven't learned anything from Frontier...have we?...i mean like this is just a remaster they can do no wrong, right? riiiight? riiiiight...
@@Summon256 right
Yet again, Bethesda's best content comes from everyone but them.
I mean they are supplying the modding tools so I would say the modding tools are the best content they have supplied to their players
@@stephaniecrest1611 then again the geck that everyone uses is still community maintained, sure bethesda supports modding, but geezus fuck update the geck
@@terrificname4258 why update the engine if you can just...
not.
Zenimax Logic: Just Make Skyrim 2
Yeah the money earned sets the bar obviously.
Found the Bethesda executive
@@SeanCrosser They are rewriting the whole engine. Whats your point?
Cazadores in the Fallout 4 engine gives me raw anxiety.
the thing everyone shall fear
Okay, hear me out.
The museum of witchcraft, BUT, it's a giant Cazadore instead of a deathclaw
@@Moxilock yeah, no
@@Moxilock times two poison damage. I can imagine the player in X0-1 power armor just crying and running as fast as possible
But the cazadore always wins
This trailer is better than 90% of AAA game trailers.
BECAUSE IT SHOWS ACTUAL GAMEPLAY!
so true
the trailer for 76 was decent too...
@Biggie cheese no gameplay cuz there was no game
These guys need to be hired by Bethesda and Obsidian. This quality of work really looks professionally done
No they need to become their own damn studio
I love the part when song goes "Out in Arizona where the bad men are" the video shows legion recruits doing push ups.
Hey Microsoft are you seeing this?! Fans have been crying out for a new Vegas remake, hire these modders, throw support at their production! I'm sure these guys would appreciate at least an offer.
Throw Obsidian in the mix too, with this gameplay and graphic remaster could you imagine if they also added all the cut content Obsidian couldn't add because of lack of time. With a little love this could be the best remaster ever done by anyone ever.
@@aidanpracy2205 thing is that not all obsidian employees are the same ones who make FNV
@@Carl6386 most of them aren't there anymore only feargus urqhart the ceo
@@Carl6386 Yeah thats fair though I'd like to think they didn't delete all their old work and concepts. Hopefully if Microsoft does order a remaster in the future they can dig around a bit and find all cut concepts and bring NV to life the way Obsidian originally intended it
Facts
i cant stop watching this im so excited for it
same
When will it come out?( I literally just found out about this)
Keep dreaming
Didn’t expect to see Dita, a surprise to be had but a welcome one
