  • The Airbus 380's MASSIVE COMEBACK that SHOCKS the whole Aviation industry! Here's Why
In 2021 Airbus announced the end of production of the A3 80 double-decker aircraft. Airlines simultaneously stopped flying this plane. How sad! However, it was surprising when Singapore Airlines revealed a huge plan to bring this super large fleet back to its flight route and even spent more than 850 million USD for this plan.

So why was the A3 80 brought back to the skies? What is Singapore Airlines' big plan? How will it affect the entire industry in the future? Let's find out in today's episode!
Before the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Airbus A3 80 was running without a hitch. 19 A3 80 made up the national airline's fleet in the past. However, the pandemic had a significant negative impact on the aviation industry, In 2020 alone, 168 billion USD was the amount of money airlines lost. Consequently, airlines gradually reduced their workforce, which resulted in the A3 80 demise in 2021. Singapore Airlines, which operates flights to five of the six inhabited continents, has gradually returned all 12 of its Airbus A3 80 to service. It can be said that this development is in line with the ongoing recovery in air travel demand in Southeast Asia, where airlines are aiming to restore maximum capacity after the global pandemic. The first aircraft, known as Singapore Airlines' first white elephant, began operating again in November 2021. In December 2023, Singapore Airlines' final Airbus A3 80 made a triumphant comeback to flight. The first passenger flight in over three years took place when the A3 80, registered 9V-SKP, the 12 and final superjumbo to have its cabin renovated, took off from Singapore to Hong Kong. This offers a sneak peek of the fleet of Singapore Airlines for the ensuing 10 to 15 years. In 2017, Singapore Airlines added five additional A3 80 aircraft to their fleet of fourteen Airbus A3 80. In addition, the airline invested an incredible 850 million dollars to update its fleet by adding new items to its fleet of white elephants. These new goods required four years of intensive research, design, and development; they were not sudden decisions. The Airbus 380's MASSIVE COMEBACK that SHOCKS the whole Aviation industry! Reintroducing all of the current A3 80 aircraft into service, according to the airline, is a component of its fleet management plan, which aims to maintain the carrier's agility, flexibility, and readiness to operate flights at full capacity to highly sought-after markets.
Additionally, all Singapore Airlines Airbus A3 80 classes-from Suites to Business, Premium Economy, and Economy class-have the new goods installed. Instead of the customary 525 seats, the new arrangement features 471 seats. to improve customer comfort and make flying on Singapore Airlines' A3 80s more enjoyable. So, they bought 19 in total and are now flying 12. Great to see the A380 continuing to return. In March and April, we had five Emirates A380 legs on our routing from the UK to New Zealand, to Australia and home to the UK. I cannot fault the Emirates A380 Business Class offering - and we saw several versions in the course of the five flights (including MEL-DXB on the last-ever built A380, A6-EVS.

Wow ! Wow ! Wow ! Your report makes me feel great and super proud of Our National Flagship Carrier SIA ! I flew once before Covid-19, and this once in my life time experience I will never forget. I do not mind to pay for the comfort and joy again in future. Amazingly, you said that SIA may overtook Emirates one day, that may shock the entire world. Yes, the A380 is KING of the sky.

Great to hear your report on the future of the A380 and its inevitable return to air fleets like Singapore Airlines .
Refitting these beauties suggests Singapore and Emirates see a certain future for the A380 . Just as Lufthansa
has committed itself to the continuance of service of the B747 .
