Try a large drift float to set you up higher in the water column. You work harder with fast current taking out and throwing back up river. I use in heavy current below dams that have a lot of boulders and snags. I make my floats out of pool noodles. They cast better than you might think. I live in Tennessee and we have a lot of river dams. Love your videos.

rough battles this trip. i only have a small river in my area here in md oklahoma, but i wont get so mad next time i lose a few hooks, after seeing what you go through on that river. i really wanna fish that river before i leave the living, so maybe next spring, i come and visit for a outing. peace

You should loosen your drag so the fish can take line out instead of just snapping your line… Your drag is way to tight

Morning sir noticed that you are having problems with hanging up in the real snaggy spots I went to a Santee rig with the peg float between the swivel and hook . It seems to help bounce the hook up before it hits the snag just a thought
