Not necessarily. Everyone decides how to spend their money.
Some people spend 40k on a car, some spend 400k on a house, some spend 100k on their marriage, some spend everything on their kids.
Maybe these guys are not rich, they just don't have kids to maintain, they have a cheap car, maybe they don't go on fancy holidays because collecting is their priority.

Money is money, but spending this much on a hobby is a rich man's game, that's the difference.

Let's say this guy has a 20k car instead of a 40k car, which many people have, because we all know cars are a status symbol.
Even having a 40k car doesn't mean you are rich, by the way.
So maybe this guy spent that 20k difference is statues, that is the worth of his collection (? Just assuming, 1k per statue?).
Again, I have no idea about how he lives and if he's wealthy or not.
I just don't think having a collection of 'useless' stuff means you are a rich person.
My uncle is an amateur photographer and enduro bike rider.
He's not rich at all, but he decided to spend the little money he had on these two hobbies because it makes him happy. He doesn't go holidays, he doesn't really go out, he does have a very simple house.
Like this guy (maybe?), he just decided where to spend his money.

I’ve never bought a statue..I don’t have that kind of cash flow. Most expensive item I’ve bought however is Uncanny X-men #94 for $150 about 6 years ago. I have had it pressed and cleaned and it could sell for $350 right now if I found a reason to.

I have lost interest in customs. I am returning more to my resin kit roots. Customs are just too expressive and too much of a gamble. I am still waiting on one I ordered two years ago. I have been collecting since PFs were an "expensive" $250. I have a couple 1/3s coming and then I might quit. I won't spend over $1200.

I didn't think I'd stumble upon the high roller's table this morning. My most expensive statue purchase is the XM Studios 1/4 Venom. Bought it brand new two years after it released so I had to pay the aftermarket price of $1600 shipped. Still one of my most favourite statues (I only have a few) and I would never sell it. I really enjoyed this video topic and the collaboration. Hope you guys do more!

I think the last one was the best that Magneto looks awesome. So far with my stuff and it took a lot cuz I really really don't have the money and it takes a lot but I was on the waitlist for almost two years for Thanos on the throne side shows and I didn't convert and it went away but I had known for a few years a comic shop a few hours away that had one brand new in their case and I was able to get it from them the one without the alternate head for $1500 even and that's alot for me. Wish I could have and do what you guys do👍🏻😁

I like the Street Fighter II, spectator count down. I used to collect that Spawn figures especially the one that Mr. X, has for a statue.

Mr. X is a collector that kept his collection private for a very long time and finally did a YT channel at the request of others. No Offense but your made up argument doesn't hold a lot of water.

My favorite is that queen studios bust. I need that someday. I most expensive statue i ever bought was the 1/3 Goro from PCS. But I'm buying the new 1/2 scale police station shootout from Prime 1 for $3,000 so that will be my most expensive.

XM samurai Batman for 2100 but it came damaged so I negotiated with the guy and got it down to 1700 but I still had to pay 150 import fee to FedEx.
Most expensive for me is XM X-men diorama ....with shipping probably $5,500. Then Hulkbuster $3,200. And 3rd will be the upcoming P1 Doom Slayer Ultimate which will come in around $2,800 w shipping I think
Enjoyed this video a lot. Gem trying to 1-UP homie the few chances he couple was hilarious! Lol. My most expensive (which doesn’t compare to y’all) is the SS Exclusive Thanos on Throne. After shipping which I believe was $60.00 + $1,200.00 for Exclusive Statue came to $1,260.00 Worth every penny. My pockets haven’t been the same since.
Good on yall for staying with yalls hobby. As much as I love almost all these statues, I just could never justify spending that much on any of them, even when I did have some money. But I'm happy with my DST Gallery collection, with only maybe 3 that I'm disappointed with. I can only remember one specificly tho.
MR.X shelves are bending from the weight...I would never use wood shelves for such heavy AND expensive pieces...
Expensive pieces, but for some reason, the only impressive one was the Silver Surfer. The others were ok, but I probably would not buy them. To date, I think ECC, Figurama, Blitzway, and HMO are making some rather incredible and gorgeous pieces.
My most expensive pieces were my SS Red Sonja and SS Vampirella and my brand new SS Hawkgirl they were all in the $500-$700 range I have a ton of 1/6,1/8 and a few 1/10 like Bowen mini statues while I'm not Ballin like Gem and Mr X with the $3K-6K statues I'm happy with my collection great country keep rollin those camera and doin what you do

Great video. Just took delivery of the P1 Fugitive Predator lifesize bust (which is AMAZING) and awaiting the wrist blades and shrunken. Think I got a bit carried away - all in, with shipping right now, as a combined piece it would make number 2 on this list by price....
I paid $250 for a 1/6 movie accurate Deadpool and I had issues with that price. 🤣 I couldn’t imagine paying what you guys have, not to mention that shipping! I also have a movie actuate replica of the Transformers Bayverse Matrix of Leadership and it’s the most expensive shipping fee I’ve paid for any item. It wasn’t as much as what you guys have paid, but to me I was surprised. Still bought it though, lol.

XM magneto was the most expensive which cost me $3400 CAD (about $2400 USD) after market. I could had gotten it for retail but I passed :/. I want to get customs but can never get past they are unlicensed (though I do buy custom parts for my statues).

The most expensive figure that I bought was Bardock in DBZ for 48 dollars and Hulkbuster which is 47 dollars. Those statues that you have mentioned cause around 160,000 pesos for a 3000 dollar statue, it is already too much here in my country and it is already my one year salary or more. I just collect crazy toys and DBZ statues this one is a dream come true if I have one statue that was purchased by Mr. X or you Gem mint, These statues cannot be reach. Maybe there are some collectors here in the Philippines that collect these ones but they are like celebrities and billionaires, so I'm really inspired and jealous of what you have guys your both are amazing!!!!!!!!!

I only own one statue, it's the X-Force diorama from Sideshow, but luckily I got it for around the original listed price. I don't have the space to start buying other statues right now.....I'm scared for when I do cuz I'll start dropping PO's
Would never spend that much on any of those pieces, unless they were at least 1/3 scale or 1/2 scale. I guess because I’m mainly a DC and Star Wars fan also. But for some reason 1/4s for 2-3k is insane to me considering I have a few half scale SW figures that I felt were worth the price due to sheer size. Although the customs are pretty hard to turn down, there’s something about single artists that know exactly what the fans want more so than the studios that usually make them. But I’m sure if I found the right character and right pose I would spend 2k on a 1/4 I loved, but it would have to be perfect in every way (base, pose, sculpt, textures, switch outs, etc).
Dark Phoenix XM for me. It's around 1800$ shipping included and it's on it's way right now. Hope she's worth it..
Enough with the custom Magneto statues already. It's all been done by now. There's a least 200 other characters we need besides a 83rd Magneto. I own the new Gladiator Hulk Maquette for $1550 total.
