I wish I didn't recently purchase 12 Iron Studios 1/10 tenth scale statues and not put all that cash toward another Prime 1 Transformer. Sometimes 1 is better then 12.
That's why I bought the XMen vs. sentinel dioramas, because at least everything is surrounding a huge Sentinel, and at multiple levels around the piece.
I wouldn't care how good a statue is, if the company sucked I'd never buy from them again...

I don’t collect statues but love watching your channel. I like seeing your collection and reviews. I collect comics and superhero action figures. I believe there are regrets no matter what you collect but with it, it helps you become better at collecting
Wow that was some list and an eye-opening for some of the statues.
Some youtube care about the quality of the video, and you straight up put a lag on your video, good job (not sarcastically, but really a complement)..this is why i keep following the channel, it feels fresh :D
I have a custom piece that i really regret buying because of the issues i have on my piece. i almost gave it away for free while unboxing it.
i like watching your videos not only because i love statues but also because you speak like very transparently. i like real talks haha and some jokes
rarely do i buy a statue I have wanted to sell it later. I've learned my lesson #1 customs for the most part are subpar quality. I've seen my share of customs and they're expensive, the quality is not always there, and their scale is all out of wack. They are cool concepts though I'll give them that. Edition size means nothing to me, It's about what I want for my collection and shelf. If i like the statue, 1 i dont plan on selling it and 2 I dont' care how many others have it. I hope every nerd out there has one to enjoy. Lesson #2 I always buy what I truly truly love..... otherwise its a waste of money and reselling is time consuming headache.
That first custom company story always amazes me when you tell it. They should be more open to feedback. Sadly I buy statues for the exact same reasons you describe at the start of the video. That SS Carnage got me too and I sold it at a loss like you.

I suppose it's not a 'regret' but I got one of the Sideshow Psylocke: X-Force Variant PFs. I've never sold a statue, not a flipper, but I knew it would be valuable based on the limited run. I already had the EX Psylocke PF. Anyway, it arrived last October with a broken base and I asked for a replacement. They contacted me last week, said 'ship it back, we're doing a full replacement'. So...fingers crossed, it's on it's way back.

haha I got a laugh out of #1, I kind of suspected it due to our conversation about the piece before . He's now my 5ft statue, looks great from 5+ feet away but any closer and it's a mess despite my best efforts to repair Lieutenant Dan's legs. I can see why you picked Doomsday as a honorable mention but for me I got him because he was sooooo big. I loved that comic book line back in the 90's and it was my first major purchase for a statue and wanted him to be the center piece for my collection room. Just one more payment and I'll have Prime 1 Cyborg Superman paid off and they will be paired together. Had to build a custom stand to hold them on knowing how big / heavy they were going to be.

I love the fatties pieces. If I had the space and money I'd go all in on them myself even though they don't match my collection. They are just so fun looking. I want to see some female superhero ones like a wonder woman fatty. Or a Storm.😄

I PO XM Catwoman and sold it for below retail. Hated the bike and portrait doesn't really say Catwoman. It was an impulse purchase because I missed out the XM Batman.

I was off on my guesses. After you named Ultimate Warrior, I couldn't think of anything else. Surprised at #3. I don't own it but wish still wish I purchased it. What stopped me was the scale and too much mixed media on it. No purchase regrets for me, but my disappointment was Donatello from PCS. I love the statue itself but the first one had QC issues and the replacement I received was used with even worse problems. Unfortunately the statue sold out so I kept it.
Nearly had my first epileptic fit watching it was like strobe lighting twitching about lol
Quite a few of them I don’t like either, I don’t regret buying any of mine yet but I did cancel a PCS Ryu which I lost my deposit on. So my only regret is placing an order for that piece
I would put that Golem at the top of the list, I cannot believe that’s $1,700, that’s an insane price for that little statue, and I hate the base. I hate those black round bases, I much prefer when the environment is the base.

That statue requires a special place into your house.. but it can easily be a problem if you keep collecting statues (in time) and in search of new space. That Doomsday might get annoying at some point (or it already is) :D

I wish I wouldn’t have bought the 1/5 scale Sideshow Black Panther. He looked great online. When he arrived I didn’t like it all.
Not every statue regret comes with a bad experience. Nice video. Fair reasons.
1# regret: PCS Shao Khan. Bought from PCS direct as a Noob, big mistake. Then it went on fire sale like a month later. Ouch. Love the character and statue, its massive, didn't know this hobby enough to wait for a better deal to come along.
Sometimes I wish I hadn't gotten into the custom realm of statues and just stayed mainstream because some of the companies are so hard to communicate with. I do have to admit that there are others that have top notch communication which makes you want to keep buying their line of statues.
Hey X I am a statue enthusiast and I have many of my own. I love the channel but it's funny cause I don't own anything superhero or movie related, I go for realistic Dinosaur statues! Have you ever thought of getting anything like that?
A few JP pieces but I think some realistic dinosaur pieces would be cool.
I don't own any because of financial reasons but I hope one day to have a collection like yours

This might be an odd regret, but my biggest was the 1/4 scale Sideshow premium format amazing spider-man (symbiote variant). I hated the sculpt on it and couldn’t stand the “explosion” at the base. Sold it at a $200 loss, but glad it’s found a good home with someone who enjoys it.
I don't have many I'd regret, but I'd say...
#1- a recast Koto Bishoujo Tiffany. I didn't lose much money and from people letting me know my mistake, I discovered a new group of collecting friends (and I now have a legit version that is tons better quality).
#2- Diamond Select Netflix Elektra - Like the 3rd or 4th piece I ever bought, she was an impulse convention buy. I naively thought all statues were made of similar quality materials, but this one ended up being hollow PVC. A nice piece, but not worth the full retail price. Since I have her and trying to sell wouldn't be worth the time or effort, I might as well get the companion DD (but at a more reasonable price).
#3- Koto Nightwing - I love the sculpt and paint, I just hate the small scale and magnet base. In my mind it seems like an action figure and that bothers the hell out of me.
That's it for me. I still really love everything else I have.

I just started watching your videos, the life size Thanos was the first, don't have any I regret buying but I'm a sucker for Blade 2 so I'd love the reaper piece even though I agree the pose is a little funny looking, love seeing honest reviews negative or good, so keep them coming

I regret my Hush Superman, not because I hate it. I payed $850 extra in the aftermarket for it and the day it was shipped my waitlist in Prime1 converted....FML

Could not agree more with you mate. I think that going to statuettes fairs/events is a huge win for not stepping wrongly buying something, that way you got to see it in real life before you eventually buy it. But yeah, not all statuettes is there and sometimes you have to follow your gut feelings to decide buying a statuette. It's pretty much like everything in life. Jump on it or not..
My regret was buying a custom 1/2 Custom Wolf Predator mainly because of it’s size . I have barely any space for it and getting rid of it has become a nightmare because it is too big and heavy to ship.

I love the SS Supergirl PF. Absolutely love her... but a small part of me wishes I had never bought her. I'm not a Supergirl or Superman fan... but I just really liked the statue.

Bought the Terminator Genisys statue on eBay for 500. It was plastic and just painted badly. But aleast I didn't pay the original asking price of I believe 1300.00
I sold off reptile as well. His clothes were Spray painted that dark green. And his shin guards looked way to big made him looked funky. Biggest main complaints
Can't believe the grail Doomsday was a special mention. I know it is a size issue but a grail is a grail. The piece i regret buying is the custom Darkseid you have i love it don't get me wrong but i already had the sideshow premium format Darkseid and i only wanted one more Darkseid i should have just waiting for a throne issue which is what i always wanted as my second to sit next to Thanos on throne.

I wish I could get out of a bunch of custom POs that I have! As for regrets, there's a few and most were impulse buys. I have a custom Cyclops (you know the one) that just doesn't fit in with my old fart stuff. I want a pre-JimLee cyke. Another regret is the Iron Studios Juggernaut dio. Nothing against it, it just doesn't fit in with my stuff, and the base is pretty big. The Sideshow Juggs is enough for me. In fact, I don't get the whole Juggernaut craze.
