This has been the most supportive and informative video on the Multi-Weapon system as a new player it’s really been the only stumbling block for myself as I haven’t really seen a system quite like this in other games. Keep up the good work!
Always fun videos from you. As much as I like the aesthetics of the partisan, I don't have the patience to get proficient with it. The multi weapon aspect is enticing, but I'd waste resources and end up using everything else.
Yeah, this is the one downside to making high rarity multiweapons, I do wish it gets a little easier to obtain the funds for it in the future. I definetly say go with what you enjoy doing and using. Learning new things doesn't have to be done in a day, go at your own pace and maybe one day you may become a "Partizan Main" user who knows!
I've fallen in love with force / braver with a rod / katana multi. I'm generally not good at perfect blocking so using the katana block lets me at least mitigate damage if I block too early or in the case of Giga's when I play more defensively instead of trying to perfect block, failing, and taking a VERY hard hit. add in the braver heal on recovery and it fits how I think / play very nicely.
Sounds like Rod/Katana is a great solution for the weakness you stated. Rod's weapon guard is really strong too use with all skill points invested in Force's skills, so I would still recommend using it whenever you do feel comfortable utilising it. Although, I commend & love that you have found a neat multiweapon combination that works and helps your playstyle! 😁
Partizan and Talis make a pretty good multi-weapon. You have Gizonde and Talis WA to help chip away the enemy's health, and with them part of the Vialto family of weapons, they could never run out of PP. The only problem I can think of is aireal mobility with the likes of Nex Aelio and the UQ bosses. But hey, I'm a stubborn Partizan main, what can I say. Also, I've used a Sword/Rod multi-weapon before the Halloween event started. It's really good, though I had to add a second Rod in my weapon palette to use Barta-Blot and Zonde-Clad.
Great to see a Partizan user! That's a very intriguing combination to use, i shall try that at some point. Vialto is very underrated and more people should use it for better PP management. Partizan is a super fun weapon to test out indeed because of it's high learning curve. Im so glad we have 6 weapon slots for all these weapons! I also agree that airbourne bosses are rough on melee users, but with the right multiweapon setup like a talis you can use convergence shot techs as your range coverage.
You can multiweapon and weapon type together. However in order to use the PA's from the other weapon, you need to have the respectful class as either a main or sub-class. (You can still use normal attacks & weapon actions with any class equipped.)

It's great to use if you are in a Combat Sector, especially during PSE Bursts. Allows for amazing PP recovery!
