a lot of backstage staffs and celebrities say that twice is the most true and honest girl group ever. what we see on screen is who they really are. just the sweetest down to earth idols. i love them ♾️

Some facts and confirmations:
Yeah, Nayeon is pronounced "Nah-yeon". 😄
Jeongyeon had a hiatus because she injured her neck and also developed some anxiety issues.
She's on her way back though!
Momo is Japanese, but her normal "dialect" (Kansai) is different from Standard Japanese. So in the interview she had to speak Standard Japanese, and she struggled a little because of that.
Sana is the only member who doesn't have siblings, so people think one of the reasons that she's so affectionate with the rest of Twice might be because she sees them as her sisters/family.
Jihyo was chosen as leader because of her long period of training (10 years) among other things. Even in SIXTEEN (their creation show) you can see how she's a leader in practically every group she's in.
Mina is called a "penguin" because she has a pretty wide footed walk (probably from Ballet), so she kind of waddles like a penguin.
Also Sharon is Mina's English name, but it's also the name the fans give her "alter-ego" for her more... Spicy moments.
Dahyun is called Tofu/Dubu because she's very pale white (like tofu), but she's also extremely flexible, like she's made from Tofu

Chaeyoung has had tattoos for a pretty long time, (since June 2019 at least) but it's only recently that she's been allowed to show them in MVs and on stages. You can see she's always wearing sleeves in their MVs between 2019 and like last year.
Tzuyu being called "Chewie" is actually two different ways to interpret the chinese characters "子瑜". When the british translated it, they came up with Tzu Yu, but the Koreans translated it Jjeu wi. The Chinese pronounciation is actually closer to /zi yü/
On their "Formula of Love" Album they had subunits. So Nayeon, was with Momo and Chaeyoung for "Hello". Jeongyeon was with Mina and Tzuyu for "1, 3, 2". And Sana was with Jihyo, and Dahyun for "Push and Pull".
That entire album is a masterpiece BTW, highly recommended. (Formula of Love: O+T =

Just a little correction. Jihyo was not voted for "Unanimously" but "Anonymously" . This false info has been going around since the GayPop guide where I asume they made a mistake in their script and it stuck (or the info was not out yet although I doubt it) . The voting was anonymous and the other member that was voted for leader was Jeongyeon but obviously got less votes (and I personally can see that happening especially with the non Korean members since she has been treating all of them like an older sister and for young people away from home that counts for something) . There are a couple of older videos around where this was stated by members. Good little piece of info though. 👍
Jihyo wasn't vote unanimously cause Jeongyeon was the second who got most vote for leader

Caitlin - I absolutely adore your channel. It brings me serotonin to see both the genuine joy and eloquently put critiques that you have for K-Pop groups. I had a similar experience with Twice. I didn’t vibe well with their early releases at first, but I Can’t Stop Me was THE track that made me deep dive. Now I’m a huge Once. TWICE Is the 1 girl group that I will always love forever. Once you go down the TWICE rabbit hole, you'll want to see every single piece of content from them ever. They are truly iconic, everyone of them are queens. Dahyun truly is one of the members with the brightest smile you've ever seen. Her smile can truly make any day better

i wished they did help you learn the pronunciation of the members names but there are like quick 2 minute videos that teaches you how to say them you can watch on your own they’re really helpful !!

You find a lot of things Twice do is in age order hahaha. NaJeongMoSaJiMiDaChaeTzu or in reverse. Anything other than that would confuse the members and Onces hahah.
And yes, they're very very chaotic hahahah. Even though they're almost all introverts, if you leave the 9 of them alone, the chaos they ensue is alot HAHAHHA

mina and tzuyu went to visit nayeon on set for her solo and mina even cried because she knew nayeon was really going through a hard time she had their tour, her solo, and a group cb to work on all at once

Thank you for finally getting to know the girls. We understand there are a lot of guides and you are right NOT EVERYTHING are included in one short/brief videos about them all considering they are 9 & it's a lot. In this guide highlighted their skills, songs, and personality(sadly Jeongyeon's part was brief and didn't even showed her side much; of her skills in dancing, singing, modeling gig, and that she's the first member to won the 'Rookie of the Year' at the 2016 SBS Entertainment Awards. Etc...) We are grateful that you spend your time to get to know them. I personally love your reactions because it's genuine and you are not afraid to tell your viewers which/what you didn't like and highlight those you did enjoy. Thank you!
The Melodys Project are covers that the members do, it was something that started since 2016 with Mina to show their individual talents, all the members have at least one (except Jeongyeon, we are still waiting😢)
Twice is my ultimate bias group, I’ve never purchase any Kpop merchandise until Twice even though I’m got introduced to Kpop since 1st gen. Their relationships with each other truly is rare in Kpop, I can probably name a few other ones but I’m very happy every time I see them still doing what they love and have each other to lean on.

"Hello" is one of the subunit songs from the "Formula of Love" album. There were three sub-unit songs, "Hello" (Momo, Nayeon and Chaeyoung), "Push and Pull" (Dahyun, Sana and Jihyo) and "I, 3, 2" (Mina, Jeongyeon and Tsuyu). All the songs were great, and the album is really a no skip album for many Once. If you're thinking about the next album to listen to from Twice, this one is a good choice. Though, for me personally, as I am a music addict, many of their albums are no skippers, but especially Formula of Love, Taste of Love (Alcohol Free title track), Feel Special and More and More are in that category for me.
Until very recently, Jihyo and Nayeon were pretty much the ones recognized for doing adlibs in Twice songs, but especially with the "Ready To Be' album, I can hear Jeongyeon, Mina and Dahyun have definitely been added to the adlib cadre, and they are killing it.
I love and appreciate that you are making your way into the Twice discography and I hope you find other songs that you like by them. This was a great reaction. Thank you for taking the time to get to know the ladies better. 😁

Yes, the performances where only three girls were listed were mini sub units they made for an album which is honestly a very good album. However, Twice's first official sub-unit is coming this year with the japanese line (Momo, Sana and Mina) whom will be debuting as a Japanese girl group with a mini album in their native tongue. I just know it's about to be incredible with all three girls looking ready to represent their country. The teasers for it look breathtaking. Also, it was mentioned in the video 'Mi-sa-mo' but that will officially become their sub unit name - Misamo.

Once I got into Twice, that was it. Ult group status and nice to see you watch this to learn more about them and their history. They are definitely chaotic but you can see how well they get along and care for each other. The discography is HUGE!

Um i think I’ll start going through their MV’s first since that’s what I’m doing with all my groups at the moment. Then I’ll most likely start going through album listens. I won’t be doing any of their variety shows any time soon cause I want to hear the music first. I’ll just go through it all the way that works best for me ☺️

Sana and Momo actually went to train in Korea the same time and have been besties ever since
if you want a program recommendation from them i recommend "Time to twice" , it's on their RUclips channel and it's subtitled!
it's really good to watch to get to know more about them and their personalities and it's really fun
SMC/School Meal Club is just another name for the maknae line(the youngest of the group) coz when Twice debuted, Dahyun Chaeyoung and Tzuyu were still minors and still in/attending high school. Dahyun was the SMC leader coz she was a little older.
Dahyun's pen is amaaaazing!!!! I personally love her song the most!!! Queen, Trick It, and Tick Tock are in my top 5 twice songs ever!!
Tzuyu said she also tried writing songs, but they got rejected unfortunately:(( I hope she won't give up!!
if I'm not mistaken, they are named 'twice' and fans are named 'once' because if fans give love 'once', they will give 'twice'

Melody/performance projects are just videos that the members do to show their talents and can be done in pairs or individually, and are typically given as a "gifts" to once to show their appreciation, like released on their birthdays, holidays, special days etc.
They also have Twice TV that shows like behind the scenes stuff and idk if you can still find it but they also had another Twice TV where they traveled places and filmed it, if you're interested in watching those as well
they kinda separate into three major groups misamo (j-line - who are debuting later this year), 3mix (based off of 6mix - a group ny,jy,jh were supposed to debut in b4), and school meal club (3 youngest)
dahyun is crazy flexible and the reason why she's called Tofu is cuz she's rlly pale there's like a picture of her glowing or smth lol
Sixteen is the survival show they were made in so def smth u could watch
they honestly have a lot of content u can watch if ur up to it, someone used to have a website where they kept track of stuff by year but I don't remember it, but wikipedia is ur next best bet
plus other stuff but another comment answered some of it as well

re: shy shy shy: yes! that was one of the BIGGEST moments of that year - idols from virtually every group were doing it on variety shows and at fanmeets and everything. you know how certain aegyo phrases and songs trend for a while and everyone does them (like that song, sweet heart by seenroot)? shy shy shy was that for sana, and it really catapulted twice to a new level of fame during cheer up era!

best guide out there that states mina as the main dancer alongside momo cause minari is an underrated main dancer. Dahyun can play piano by ears and has a perfect pitch, there was one time where they had a vlive and the girls wanted to test her, told her to close her eyes and guess the note they pressed and she got everything right so jeongyeon went ''YAH why are you a rapper?!'' also dahyun may seem like she's extra on camera but off cam she's mysterious, the members said so, and she, mina & tzuyu are the quiet ones in the group tho tzuyu is more talkative amongst the 3 of them, dahyun is a homebody and a bookworm too
