Twice fandom ue to be about 70-30 male/female back in the day now its about 50-50 with a little more male audience. Its slowly equalising as the years go by.
Jeongyeon's first hiatus was not just anxiety. She had injured herself (something with her herniated disc) and the injury coupled with her growing anxiety led to the first hiatus. During this break, she gained a lot of weight as a result of her medication(allegedly) and received a lot of hate comments when she eventually returned. Also, she had not fully recovered from her injury but she wanted to participate in activities and so she did but she was not included in dance performances. (She is not in the dance formations of Doughnut, The feels, Scientist, Kura kura and Cry for me even though she is in those mvs). As a result of the pushback from the public because of her weight gain and her still persisting injury, her anxiety became an issue yet again and she took a second break.
For what it's worth: Will Friedle who played Eric Matthews on Boy Meets World in the late 90s and early 00s has also said that he had to go on medication for panic attacks, he gained weight as a result, and he took a break from acting on-screen because he became so self-conscious of his body image.

Nayeon, Jihyo and Jeongyeon are the old timers in JYP. They expected to debut several times, but the projects were cancelled. They were upset at the Sixteen show at the beginning, it felt like a kick in the face to have to compete to debut considering their seniority compared to the other contestants.
Chaeryeong as mentioned elsewhere was also a part of the show Sixteen, and so was her sister Chaeyeon. Chaeyeon eventually went to to compete in Produce 48 and become part of the project group Iz*one (Sakura and Chaewon from Le Serrafim, Wonyoung and Yujin from IVE.
More than any guide, I suggest actually watching Sixteen or the "Twice: Seize the Light" RUclips series to get the know them. Sixteen is worth a watch even knowing the final winners, a lot of backstory, fun challenges, and amazing performances. You gain an understanding where their tight bond and real friendship comes from.
Seize the Light has been taken down/privated as of today! Only episodes 2 and 6 are still published, but there’s rumors of a new documentary coming out so hopefully that will cover more than stl was able to!
I believe at the beginning of their career almost all their fans were male, but over time they've definitely gained a lot more female (and probably NB) fans. In their last album release the male to female ratio was actually around 55% female (taken from an article koreaboo posted about different group's ratios. Not sure exactly how reliable it is, but either way they've definitely gotten a much more broad audience than in their early days)
In the beginning, most people who love twice song like ooh ahh are female and males loved cheer up
@@SK_DC Yess on their comeback day only one once sang the fanchant and it was a girl! All the fans who waited outside the day of showcase were girls too, some even cosplayed their outfits in their teaser photos they were so cute.

Your pronunciation of Tzuyu is more accurate than 95% of people online, definitely much better than just Chewy. Lol
I was gonna say thats really close to the original Chinese pronunciation of her name.
Honestly it just depends on if you're pronouncing it in her native Taiwanese accent or in the Korean accent. Chewy is close to the Korean pronunciation which is fine to go by as it's how her members because it's difficult to pronounce right for Koreans so going either way (depending on which way you personally are able to pronounce) seems to be the way to go

Couple extra tidbits (any incorrect info, anyone free to correct me):
ITZY's Chaeryeong was one of the contestants in SIXTEEN.
Mina also took a hiatus from 2019-most of 2020 I believe due to anxiety disorder. Jeongyeon and Mina did participate in some activities depending on how well enough they are; I know in 'The Feels' there are a couple scenes where Jeongyeon isn't with the group for group shots.
Some idol friendships: Sana's close with G-Idle's Miyeon, Dahyun was classmates with Dreamcatcher's Gahyeon, Mina and Jihyo are pretty close with Blackpink's Lisa and G-IDLE's Minnie, and Tzuyu is in a friend group that has Dreamcatcher's Handong and G-IDLE's Shuhua. I can't remember who's close with Moonbyul but I think it's most of TWICE, mainly Nayeon????
Jihyo trained in JYP for 10 years since age 8.
Before Between 1&2 album with title track "Talk that Talk", the group renewed their contracts with JYP. There was uncertainty amongst the fandom especially since Jeongyeon at the time just came back to participate in a tour before it. Dahyun even wrote a song during this time that got included in the album. None of the members knew that all of them renewed until the news officially released.
Mina was born in Texas but moved to Japan even she was a toddler.
Sadly, Mamamoo and Twice have never been as close as both fandoms would want them to be, the two groups are quite different but still a lot of people would love to see them together. Only Moonbyul and Dahyun had a sweet interaction years ago and that’s it, the recent interview with Moonbyul was part of Nayeon’s promotional schedule.
re: Jeongyeon’s hiatus, she had to undergo surgery for a herniated disc in late 2020. So though she was present for some low-activity shots in 2021 videos, you’ll notice she was absent for high-impact activity full-group dance scenes. It was only early last year when she felt capable enough to return to dancing.
21:29 is a song they have written during TwiceLights and they finished writing the song at exactly 9:29 PM (21:29), also... 21:29 is Twice/ & Once: Twice/ OT9
Having a bias is soooo hard for Twice because they’re all amazing. I THINK after 4 years as a Once I might’ve finally chosen Nayeon ….but who knows how I’ll feel tomorrow 😂
Only correction is that Nayeon is born on September 22, 1995, not 1996. Other than that, this guide is great
Conspiracy theory aside, Sixteen happened before the Stray Kids show, note also the 2PM/AM survival show Hot Blood Men where One Day members were selected had the same thing where members were brought back. This was presumably something to add drama in the case of Sixteen, Momo is a shoe-in regardless if you'd watched the show, she did not need more training/torture 😉😉.Great reaction
It's criminal that Michaeng wasn't mentioned, didn't show Mina's penguin walk (which is why she got the nickname in the first place), Momo's being endlessly hungry, Jeongyeon the prankster, God Jihyo, and Smol Chae.

The guides are correct…The mbti changed for Jihyo since the end of 2021 i think (maybe) even in some vids from Jihyo vlog said about that mbti changes and changed to E…that’s why the guide put Jihyo and Sana as extrovert members.
Loved your reaction to this, I know a lot of people have said that their early stuff is cute bubble gum pop , but I would definitely check those early songs at least the MV's they might surprise you, most people go into to hearing its like that, but I have never seen anyone not like their early stuff. So maybe you could do a compilation of hearing or seeing the early MV,s like 4 MV's a video they are pretty short, and decide for yourself because they add lots of easter eggs in their music and MV's but also for the fact that a lot of the earlier stuff is ICONIC to the world of K-POP and it can make a difference sometimes when the newer albums come and you see them reference older songs. I know it sounds like their earlier days you won’t like as much cause it is cutesy but trust me I say the same thing and so do other reactors but trust once’s when we say you will probably love it more than you think so give them a chance.

Some questions you asked in the video: The ratio between male and female is close to 50/50 nowadays, but it used to be mainly male dominated during their early days.
21:29 is titled that because the members finished writing the fansong at the time 21:29!
Picking a bias is really hard with TWICE, you'll probably end up being OT9!

2020 onward might be a good idea if you prefer to avoid their "cuter" songs - i think you can always go back and listen to them if you want more Twice, I personally love their older songs i find them cute but not cringy but i know its not for everyone and that's okay. In case you are interested, there are two older songs that are dear to Onces called "one in a million" and "be as one." In my observations Twice's sisterhood is very strong and genuine and one of the main reasons why I love watching their side content like Time to Twice and Twice TV. Thanks for Sharing, I loved it.

Actually the correct pronunciation of Tzuyu is "ZZewie" with a hard Z sound but in Korean, there's no Z sound in the alphabet so they say "Chewie." Kinda how they don't have an "R" sound in their alphabet either so they change the R's to L's. So the proper way to pronounce Tzuyu is "Zzewie" but the Korean way is "Chewie." The other members say her name the proper way.
Sharon is Mina's English name since she was born in Houston, TX but that's also her sexy alter ego.

Mina was born in San Antonio (Texas) and was raised in Kobe, Japan (the Sharon in her part is bc when she is in US or when she shows a more sexy side of her, so we call her Sharon this times like it's her american part being activated)

Adding on to this list of fun facts:
- Two of Mina's traits mentioned in the guide are connected: Her "Penguin" nickname partially comes from how she walks with her feet turned outwards (almost like a penguin waddle); A walk that developed from her ballet training.
- The maknae line of Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu being called "School Meal Club" comes from how the three of them were still in school when Twice debuted (they went to Hanlim Multi Art School together).
Hi! This is my first time seeing you and I'm so into Twice, in fact I'm FB friends with all nine. A little extra info about them: Nayon is called Bunny, her two front teeth are a little long. Momo means peach in Japanese so you can call her Peaches. Wanna bite. Sana is soooooo loving. She will kiss and hug everybody. Mina 2as born in El Paso, Texas then moved to Japan. She held a dual citizenship for a time. She is my bias and I love her very much. She takes great pleasure in serving others as the video showed. She made sure that everybody on the set got a rice specially she made. Dahyun was a dork in the beginning. She has the best comedic skills that she used often. She is also very flexible as she can bend backwards and touch the floor. She is also called Dubu or Tofu. Some time ago she mentioned she wanted to be glamorous and she is now truly a beauty. You can say she is most improved. She was invited to participate in a fashion shoot in New York. Tzyuyu, Dahyun, Sana and M8na were named in a contest of the 100 most beautiful in the world and Tzuyu was number one!
TWICE's percentage of fans by gender in the last data of listeners collected was around 55% for female listeners. ONCEs who go to music programs have said you can see both female and male fans but the masculine voices obviously go above the girls' voices. But the concerts especially are very diverse.

33:52 the last numbers we got from Aladdin said that it was 54% female buyers and 46% male buyers ( survey was done a few years ago) But I am pretty sure that in their early career it was mostly men, there has been a shift the past few years in their fanbase

the myoui in mina is pronounced as ''mew wee'' mina was born in texas hence her english name is sharon but both her parents are japanese. Jihyo may not be the oldest member but they all chose her as the leader cause of her long period of training (10 years). Dahyun may seem like she'd be the extrovert but she's an introvert, especially off cam confirmed by the members. They said she is more reserved, mysterious off cam, she's also a homebody same as mina (mentioned on a radio interview) i had to double bias Mina & Dahyun

I wanna say that Twice have a large lgbtqia+ fanbase but i’m prob just bias lmao.
In the beginning, the information on the album was wrong.
There is one Korean album and several Japanese ones, but this is incorrect information.
It's a song with Japanese lyrics like an event for Japanese fans, and it's not even a few songs.
In the video, it gives wrong information as if they sang a lot of Japanese songs.
Most of the lyrics of the songs they sang are in Korean, and English is mixed for fans.
The songs sung in Japanese were made separately to be sung only in Japan. Thank you for uploading a good video, but the video you saw has some misinformation, so I wanted to let you know.
