We are enjoying this dive to TWICE. Jeongyeon went into hiatus because of health conditions. She got hit on the leg by a horse, diagnosed with HERNIATED DISC on her neck and the medications caused her body to change and her mental anxiety. (MINA also had mental anxiety.) But the company and the girls stood by her. Now she is back!!! Even leader JIHYO was fat-shamed before in the Kpop world! NAYEON has a dangerous stalker up until now. So, I did not see it mentioned in this guide but Nayeon (the oldest member a 'fake maknae') is sometimes called 'the Rabbit' because of her smile. Her two front teeth are longer than the teeth next to them, it's just one of the many things that makes her so CUTE! She's really spunky the way a rabbit can be. AND, this year is now The Year Of The Rabbit. Momo struggles with her japanese because she”s been living for so long in South Korea. (I know Sana and Mina don”t have that problem ....Momo is special ). She has said multiple times that she now thinks in korean so it”s difficult for her to switch to japanese (she even said during her rookie years in front of her parents that she worries she will lose much of her japanese language...her parents said so too 🤣).
To explain why Momo struggles with her Japanese even though she is from Japan: 1. she has lived in Korea/has been speaking Korean for so long sometimes her brain short circuits when she has to switch back to another language 2. if I recall correctly, Momo speaks a certain dialect of Japanese with her family but when doing press in Japan she has to speak in standard Japanese which is a little different, therefore she stumbles over her words sometimes

I'm an old gen xer who discovered Kpop at the start of the COVID lockdowns. And Twice was an oasis of sunshine in that time. And still are! They're kind and bright and the fact they share that with Onces is a gift. As silly as this notion might sound, they simply add happiness to the world - through some damn entertaining pop music! PS: Jihyo: During comeback showcase stage events, she just keeps it all flowing - a true leader for sure!

I have this speculation that jype calls both incidents "anxiety" but the truth is they developed injuries - jeongyeon's slip disk and mina's knee

3:57 Regarding *Mina and penguins* since the video didn't really explain it.... Basically, it's a nicknamed she's gotten and received because she has a *_waddle_* to the way she walks casually. Her feet naturally point outwards and to the side due to years of ballet and stretching. Hence, Mina is known to have a "penguin walk" and a "capitalism walk" (which became a trend/meme when fans first noticed it) which she turns on when required to walk more professionally (typically during red carpet events). 🐧🐧

Twice are 7 introverts & 2 extroverts (Sana was the only extr before Jihyo joining her), they're kind,cute,funny,crazy&humble. 16:40 Momo is japanese, but these members have lived near or over a decade in a country with a different language, plus them learning english. it's entirely possible to forget or take longer to remember parts of your native language if you just don't use it often enough. Have had family forget english when living abroad for too long.

And they’re both rescues.
Momo struggles with her japanese because she”s been living for so long in South Korea. (I know Sana and Mina don”t have that problem ....Momo is special ). She has said multiple times that she now thinks in korean so it”s difficult for her to switch to japanese (she even said during her rookie years in front of her parents that she worries she will lose much of her japanese language...her parents said so too 🤣).
I’m excited as you get to know these nine precious ladies! They are so easy to love ❤️
To explain why Momo struggles with her Japanese even though she is from Japan: 1. she has lived in Korea/has been speaking Korean for so long sometimes her brain short circuits when she has to switch back to another language 2. if I recall correctly, Momo speaks a certain dialect of Japanese with her family but when doing press in Japan she has to speak in standard Japanese which is a little different, therefore she stumbles over her words sometimes

I'm an old gen xer who discovered Kpop at the start of the COVID lockdowns. And Twice was an oasis of sunshine in that time. And still are! They're kind and bright and the fact they share that with Onces is a gift. As silly as this notion might sound, they simply add happiness to the world - through some damn entertaining pop music! PS: Jihyo: During comeback showcase stage events, she just keeps it all flowing - a true leader for sure!
