Can’t decide which sub to get. TT black and gold and SS. I have a friend who works at Rolex who can get me either watch in 30 days. I can’t decide!?!? I am 41 yrs old married with 2 kids. I am not a flashy guy so I automatically want the SS. But I like the TT look. I just don’t know if I would feel too self conscious in it since it’s more flashy. I don’t like attention. Whats the whole story flipping from the AD? I heard it no longer works (or more correct: only works once) because they now oblige you to wear your previous one when coming in for your next
Can’t beat an all black date sub. Just goes with all attire and sits quietly and confidently on the wrist without screaming for attention. Also note that the *current* secondary prices shown here are not what these guys are paying obviously as they will need to make their profit so subtract at least a couple of grand out the gate. Older models with some wear and tear even more so. As it’s a buyers market I’d pop into your local AD just to touch base you never know your luck.

If the AD offers you a Rolex you want buy it. Long term you can't go wrong. If you don't want it leave it for someone who does. Demand in the grey is now so low that most watches will fetch less than retail from these guys. Market price is not what they will pay.. Take at 25% of market and you will be somewhere near. Flipping only makes money for the dealer nowadays and truth be told it never made much for the flippers.
Ive had Rolex for 23 years. This year I paid 2k over retail for SS no date boxed 2020. I wanted the watch. So my choice. Not prepared to wait on list. Tried AD in London, Bahrain, Gibralter and other euro cities. No chance to buy one.

One might consider that in the wake of the pandemic, the watch industry experienced a notable surge in interest, particularly towards prestigious brands like Omega, Cartier, and Rolex. This shift, perhaps fueled by a desire for luxury during challenging times, extended to higher-end choices such as Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, and Patek Philippe. However, as global dynamics evolve, recent political and religious conflicts in certain regions may prompt a shift in consumer preferences. The initial trend towards flashy and attention-grabbing timepieces during lockdowns, where social interactions were limited, could now give way to a more understated taste. The uncertainty and gravity of current geopolitical situations might lead individuals to lean towards subtler, under-the-radar designs. In this context, the world’s changing landscape may influence a shift in the narrative of luxury watches, emphasizing sophistication over ostentation. As preferences adapt to the complexities of our time, the watch industry may witness a nuanced evolution in consumer choices, reflecting a blend of refined aesthetics and a desire for understated elegance.
