There's a mod you can do to separate the ignition from the fuel feed - turn the knob at the bottom of and it will run for 2 or 3 mins and then stop once the carb is empty. Or press a button to cut the ignition it stops immediately
No, the fuel bowl will not run dry. The fuel tank will simply develop a vacuum and the engine will stop from the lack of flow, not emptying the bowl as air flows into the bowl.
the real test is see if it can take a load? then what's wrong with it? I cleaned everything from the gas tank to the carb and it starts hard and wont carry a load
This unit was relatively new and worked under load with the choke on, if I recall correctly. It just needed a good carb cleaning to function properly without the choke on.
Sometimes all it takes is a mastermind mechanic
Yes it does, but not this time. LOL
Excellent work. We might have to browse the showroom at 5bs looking for a backup generator to power the studios at 640AM The Mix !
Thanks for the compliment. I am sure we can work out a deal!
Awesome video
I have a a few of the same model at work. They sit for a long time between uses.
JD, Thanks for the comment. They are good generators.

That is interesting. I am going to have to look into that. Thanks for the view and the tip!
It looks really easy from here. I just bought same one. It last one day n sitting in shed. I gotta work one after this.
Good luck on your repair.
Awesome job! You make it look too easy.
Thank you! It looked easy because it was easy.
Don’t know if I missed it.. but did you drain the gas tank and put fresh gas?
Nope. The gas was old but still usable.
what if you turn off the fuel cap vent, will it run the fuel bulb dry?
No, the fuel bowl will not run dry. The fuel tank will simply develop a vacuum and the engine will stop from the lack of flow, not emptying the bowl as air flows into the bowl.
most of the time things can be fixed if you have the know how
Very true. And there is lots of know how on the internet of you take the time to find it.

It's got a fuel pump so it shouldn't run out
