Your mate walking round with the camera on a stick 🤣 he’s clearly not done what you do! You can’t walk into a rough pub with a camera on a stick and expect to be welcomed!
tell your mate stop being so obnoxious with his camera, he's making it obvious he recording everyone ruining your vibe and the vibe of people around you.
And shrinkflation, the juice that I buy Is usually 1L ...for the same price the carton got smaller, it's now 955ml, so the scavvy choadsters have robbed me out of 5% of juice, I want justice !
You’ll be welcomed in any pub in London fellas but you may come across a couple of people here and there who don’t like people filming in the location they are drinking in and they may be indulging in other bits and bobs out of earshot thus will react if someone bowls in with a camera - also someone might be wanted by the old bill so don’t want his/her face on RUclips.. you know what I mean..
2 of my most fav youtube travellers in the same video!!! Loved the tour guys. Hope you decide to go to ireland. I might go there after my tour to europe next week.
When you walked down the market on whitechapel road, on the other side was the hospital which had a famous patient Joseph Carey Merrick nicknamed The Elephant Man due to his physical deformaties.
Nice to see you near my neighbourhood. Tower Hamlets is a mix of rich and poor. If you want to try the nice pubs, one day you should do a riverside pub crawl, start from limehouse and walk until st. Katherine's docks.
Glad you brought some muscle with you just in case things started KICKING OFF, i bet those pubs are not as safe later in the night, another good video, just nipping to the corner shop for a pack of Guinness.
Yes you found a few dodgy pubs the worst was the one you got told to leave from the way that guy looks at you when you walked in reminds me of early eighties in Liverpool if your a stranger they let you know just by looking at you great video
Takes me back, Mile End, Whitechapel, Aldgate and the Roman (road).. Visits to the toy museum, vicky etc.. Nice video... Now for a cheeky indoors pint..Cheers pal..
Cracking video mate, I was just the otherside of the river. Had the 'Fitchetts' in rotherhithe SE London for a while. Changed hands and names apparently endlessly now!
Get yourself to the Salmon & Ball at Bethnal Green Underground station (Northern line, not Overground). £5.50 a pint when I went last a few year ago, cash only, very sawdust but a proper boozer and even has a jukebox. Best Guinness I've had in London and the gaffer is sound and likes his Guinness so looks after it. Not far from the White Hart (decent pub, been there before and reasonably priced for London).
I was down London a few weeks ago for work. Got taken out at Covent Garden then Leicester Square, but give me the pub in this video any day, proper pub and down to earth people.
The crown it's a decent pub, but very much for the locals, my dad's old local. Landlords never changed been there since I was a kid, recently went back still remember me nearly 20 years later
Or down the road towards Ilford, pub called the Cauliflower awesome back in the day. Massive pub, first time in there Halloween 1993,live band like Bad Manners, what a night
Interesting what the PC said about the Isle of Dogs. I knew an old guy who grew up in Stepney in the 1930s. He said that locals always talked about 'the island' as if it was a remote and scary place.
Columbia rd is very canny in tower hamlets, i know ur looking for rough pubs but the pubs there are salt of the earth, there is a pub called the Birdcage, and the Queen Vic in eastenders was modelled on it, i lived in a place called old market square, next to Columbia Rd for seven months some while ago, the flat is valued now at £465,000. Up north were I'm from, it would cost about 90k for that type of property, just thought i would share a bit of info with the viewers. Cheers.
@@honestplaces Same I've not been for a few years, Oldham (where I live) town centre's lost a load of good pubs through a dogshit council so I always venture out now.
Yeah, there's some places that aren't going to take kindly to a couple of dudes bowling in, filming from the off, but that's what makes what you do interesting - we get to see the first impression.
This was a trip down memory lane for me watching this. I used to go to TROXY for DNB raves back in the day before the ticktock generation ruined it. Love the video. You should spread out towards Essex while your in the London area maybe film in places like Dagenham
Superb content, instantly subscribed, my kind of videos. Should get you a couple of pints in Arkwright bar in Plungington Road Preston - a locals local👍 No nonsense folk drink in there - you would feel welcome. Cheers🍻
It’s funny how you pointed out Troxy as you was out drinking. It was actually built in the 1933 on an old brewery site ironically for £250,000 around £18m today. Cinema and stage performances with some famous comedians and singers/bands entertaining there.
Should have gone to the Palm Tree in Mile End Park or The Half Moon on Mile End Road if you're still round there! I used to go the the Half Moon a lot as went to uni near there.
I mean... Except for a couple of streets you showed, that neigborhood didnt seem rough at all. Nice buildings, very green, nice street and sidewalks... Seems pretty decent to me! :)
One you missed around the back of Commercial Rd which can highly recommend for proper proper East London regulars is The Prince Regent! Just around the corner to the pub you went in The Crown! Was also in the film Big Fat Gypsy Gangster! Definitely not a hipster gentrification generation pub😂
It’s interesting to see these videos. Man the pubs in America can actually get scary. Pubs you really don’t want to walk into. Of course a lot of the time, if you have the balls to, you will be met by very friendly sketchy people! Just don’t want to get on there bad side haha
Just found your channel. From my experience most places are fine as long as you are respectful. If you are planning to go to Leicester hmu for the rough bars!
Can I recommend a visit to the furthest furthest depths of East Lancashire. Particularly the Royal Dyche in Burnley, The Lord Nelson (the zoo) in Nelson and the Market Tavern in Colne
@@honestplaces To be honest I really liked it, I used to live close to a small park (King Edward Memorial Park). I could see Canary Wharf from there, sitting by the Thames River and it was also few minutes walk to a Shadwell station. I had few places I liked to take a walk, literally few minutes walk from the place I used to live. I was unfortunately forced to move away from there due to one particular person I will not mention here. I moved then close Mile End, did not stay long there as I went through a bit of nightmare again due to another person (roommate) I barely knew. I then moved to Woodford/Woodford Green and lived there amazing 4 years, no issues at all, got some help from wonderful people as I helped a bit too, it was really amazing place to live. I moved out of London eventually, lived in London slightly more than 10 years. I moved out of Tower Hamlets once, but years later went back for another 4 years, living with Japanese people that were amazingly kind and warm. I lived 1 year in Japan too.
Im suprised you managed to find so many spit and saw dust places in east London, the vast majority all look like that place you went to!! The Builders Arms was a good one in Stratford before it closed

Offering to buy everyone in the pub a drink,is a nice thing to do and always an ice breaker 🍺🍺

Carl Pilkington’s Favourite Movie “The Elephant Man”
Another banger vid! Having Birra Moretti while watching as well class

10:50 - The Torxy is a music venue on the far east end of Commercial Rd. Its quite big too, nearly the size of Brixton Academy
Ah right. Look a half decent venue that 👍

Love these drinking videos, always a pleasure to have a pint with you lad.
Drinking in a hood, where they don't drink ? Well dodgy.. u should invite Danny Dyer with you next time...😂

Yeh they very much are....if yoi wear a top in the wrong pub it's curtains 🤣
It's so weird seeing you both together because I watch both of your channels

The pubs don't seem to be that rough, Spit and sawdust yh, But rough come on.
Come to Bristol and try "the Packhorse" and the "criterion"
They walkable from the city centre? Heading Bristol in a couple of months
Used to drink in the Joker up by seven kings railway station. Cracking pub
Still open?

No sure mate, was years ago. Across the road was a club called The Shannon Centre, crazy nights in there as well
