This is Miranda's first youtube live stream gosh darn !
Re: Meetups. It would be great for us introverts if there was a way for us Miranda and co. fans to find eachother locally. It could be a nice way to meet new people, go outside, and maybe less intimidating because we can talk about the channel as a launch point!
The logistics for this could be fun.
I love this idea!!! I’ll definitely see if I can help facilitate something like this!
Second this. One of the reasons why I haven't gone camping is because I don't have anyone to go with and don't have a community, I would love to meet others with my interests! ♥️
Love this idea and would love to help organize something like this in the Las Vegas area!
The kurzgesagt meetup model might work for you, also a great way to facilitate local meetups, but I assume it's a lot of work to setup
I 100% agree with the “more Rainer” comments. The interactions between you two are hilarious. Also the trust and depth of your friendship is wonderful to see. Hope I spelled his name correctly.
Did you just say you'd like to do a "trail magic" video? That would be SO awesome! You and your crew packing trail magic to the trail, camping for a while and giving things out. Wow, please do that video!
Yay I’m glad it sounds cool to you too!! I REALLLLLY wanna do it - hopefully this year!
Minnesota has amazing backpacking, especially near Lake Superior.
1. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness
2. Voyageurs National Park
3. Superior National Forest (thru hike the SHT (superior hiking trail)
Congrats on going independent! All the best to you all.
OMG 🤯 Rainer's shoutout just totally made our day!!
Since you’re going international now, you guys should definitely go to Iceland and do the Landmannalaugar trail. So beautiful and very different than what you’ve done so far here in the states!
Can confirm - Iceland has AMAZING hikes. I highly recommend Helgafell and Fjadrargljufur.
Pictured Rocks in Michigan's Upper Peninsula should totally be on your midwest list!
The fun you and the team let out through the video is contagious. It makes going through the hour so easily.
Midwest Idea: Bikepacking the Katy Trail in Missouri!!! :)
Hi, I am a hiker, camper, getting into backpacking this year and i have a 3 year old. We are in MN and ive been looking at the superior trails and or devils Kettle. Your channel has literally become my favorite, you as a person, makes your videos so much more enjoyable to learn from. Hopefully one day we will cross trails, i would die of excitement. 😅 Thank you for all the great info and personally testing out so much gear making it easy to figure out what to buy and how to buy. ❤ Long live Miranda goes outside!
We would love to see you in British Columbia, Canada.🇨🇦
Agreed!
So glad to hear you have found ways to fight chronic migraine. My wife suffers from Chronic Migraine and it took 20 years before we found what helped her. She also gets Botox for Migraine and uses Ubrelvy at onset. Ubrelvy has been a life changing discovery for her. I've watched her suffer for almost 30 years and so glad there are finally things that are helping her.
This live chat could totally be a regular thing. I think there may be a podcast in this channel's future. "This is my pod cast gosh darn!"
I watched the recording and really enjoyed spending an hour listening to you chat! I’m looking forward to all the exciting things the channel has on the horizon!
We love you!!! Are you going to do another camping trip with your college friends? We loved that episode!!!
Congratulations! Love your videos. Will you make and sell a ‘Gosh Darn’ Kula cloth pls!
Live from Ranier's Garage sounds like a great episode name.
This could be a show on it's own. Need lots of live chat!!! Looking forward to your adventures Miranda and crew!!!
Lots of fun. Thanks Miranda. You helped inspire me to do my first backpacking trip in 30 years last summer. It came 18 months after knee replacement and I felt great after doing 11.5 miles in the Cranberry Wilderness in West Virginia. Then last August I did the Grinnell Glacier trail in Glacier National Park. I rule! Thanks again. Would love to meet you outside! ( I was going to say "in the wild" but I caught myself.)
If you haven't hiked in dolly sods it is amazing and also in the general cranberry wilderness area!
A shirt with “ this is my shirt gosh darn
Hey from the UK! Great to see your first video/live stream, Miranda. And tbh I couldn’t tell on my tv that this wasn’t filmed on a $5000 camera. Picture and sound were great as usual. Looking forward to where this channel takes you (and us) 😊
And I think that should be everyone’s mantra in life “If you’re not enjoying it, stop” ❤
You and Rainer are so fun! Can’t wait for your next camping adventure!
This goofball puts a smile on my face everytime😊
I would love to see more diy dehydrated backpacking food.
I'd also like to see videos with followers. Like, come to Georgia and I'll show you my favorite day hike.
Or on the trail hobbies!
Just stumbled on this after discovering your channel. Love your content. I had debilitating migraines from 16 yrs of age to 32 years of age (an average of 4 a month causing vomiting and had to sleep them off in a dark room). Acupuncture was the thing that permanently cured me of them, but it took a year of weekly treatments. I just wanted to applaud you for living your life and not letting the pain hold you back. You're an inspiration.
Backpacking with kids-- love it. I've totally thought about showing some of your videos with my Girl Scout troop before.
Yay Miranda and the Hungry hiker reunited!
The question about the water reservoir: I took mine into labor and delivery of my second child so I could easily get water without dumping the jug mug they give you on my face. It was brilliant.
Loved this!! Thank you! More more more!
Hey Miranda!! Our family loves you!! We have a 5yo and 3yo and the ONLY reason we even thought about trying backpacking was because of you! We have even done a canoe backpacking trip....yes!.....with a 2yo..... and 4yo.....in one canoe.... We have now gone on a few trips together and we plan to add more and more each year! We volunteer to do a backpacking trip with you since you were asking! 😄 Thank you for everything you do and for helping us in so many ways. ❤ We have felt so prepared for each trip due to your advice, experience and your willingness to share your mistakes with us! ❤
P.S. where can we get that NEMO hat in the background? Much Love, The Busch Family 💕
I couldn’t watch live so watched this evening. Holy moly what fun! A monthly livestream Q&A, channel update and so on would be a great addition to your channel. The added SuperChat is a nice bonus as well (no point in dodging that subject, you’ve all gotta make a living). I second hiking and exploring the Midwest, there are excellent rivers to kayak in Missouri plus various parts of the Mark Twain National Forest to hike and the Flint Hills of Kansas to explore.
I'd love to see some climbing content, even if just once in a while. You could even just do things like skin care or gear overviews and keep the actual climbing as your own thing off camera
Definitely do this type of show again. Can't wait for the merch!
Your video quality and audio is great! We wouldn't have known if you didn't tell us! Amazing job and congrats on all your amazing achievements .... including those yet to come!
I have chronic migraines as well. I always take imitrex with me when hiking. I found some waterroof metal pill bottles that i can put in my pack. I get 3 months of meds at a time and so I can do long distance hikes with no problem.
I love Pam. I hope you do another camping with Pam.
Hope you try Haven Hammock. It flat and less banana shape lol
Kind of bummed out that I didn't get to see this live...
GGG is great and based on my state, Minnesota.
I highly recommend you check out the boundary waters in Minnesota. Permits become available Tomorrow, January 25th, 2023.
There is also the superior hiking trail and tons of state parks
I have not listened all the way through, but wow some great information. I somewhat agree with if it is not fun go home. My best advice is if you feel bad and are thinking about going home eat, drink and rest. While you are doing this look around you. Sometimes the beauty around you will motivate you to stay out longer.
The Ozark mtn. has some nice trails to hike...
Do a thru hike in Texas. Our longest trail, the lone star hiking trail, is only 96 miles.
Canadians love you. You guys are awesome! Thank you for sharing & creating such great content & entertainment. Fully supportive of going independent. Rainer is tres cute! Yes Canadians love Pam too, pls bring her back! You guys rock, good job way to go!
Great live stream! Congrats! I'm located on Kauai, HI and there is a popular 22 mile backpacking trail on the Na Pali coast. Would love to see if that's a trip you'd be willing to try out!
I have wanted to hike the Nā Pali coast for SO LONG!!! I would love that!!
@@MirandaGoesOutside That would be so amazing! Mahalo! 🤙🏽
Thanks!
I am a super anxious person- I'm easing into it. Solo camping at state parks, and short hikes, next will be more dispersed camping but close to home (within 4 hours)
Hi Miranda and crew. Going backwards to videos I missed. You need to do a continuation of this video since no where near 100 questions were answered. Parts 1, 2, 3 until all answered. Also, 48:23 nice butt shot there Rainier. Looking good. 👏
You should look into the foothills trail. Its 70ish miles through north and south carolina and tons of waterfalls and swimming holes. Can knock it out in a week for a week long trip
Yes please please do guided backpacking trips!!!! In NH please 🙏🏻 ❤
Ouachita Trail OK-AK is an awesome trail especially in the fall
Thanks for the live show we have to do this again maybe once a month or so. Y’all are so great, had a great time.
Cant wait for more Miranda!
Tinkle Belle is my fav pee device. I keep one in my vehicle always and with me on walks/hikes. The thump tabs are what make it easy while keeping your pants up😅
You need to check out the Rockies in Alberta Canada such as Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper. You will not regret it.
Hey Miranda! Love your channel. This is about your migraines….I’m an optometrist and a lot of my migraine sufferer patients have visual issues that cause their migraines. The main one is something called esophoria. I’d say 80% of my migraine patients have this and a simple pair of lenses can help alleviate the migraines. See if your optometrist can test for it. Essentially, it’s like a hidden tendency for your eyes to want to turn in. Hope that helps! Love your channel!
Definitely visit Ohio! Hocking hills, CVNP, and Cleveland Metroparks!! I work for the Metroparks and would be more than happy to show you our parks! I think you would be so impressed by how Cleveland has been able to preserve so many natural spaces
Love your content and look forward to what you'll do going forward. Would you ever consider highlighting vegan trail food options?
Midwest: Come to Minnesota and do a BWCA canoe trip!
Personal hiking tip for October to prolong summer season in Europe: GR 20 on Corsica going southbound. Cabins are no longer serviced but still open for hikers to seek shelter. And in contrast to the summer season the trail is quiet and almost empty, and you don’t have to beat other hikers to find a limited camp spot at the refuges.
Congrats on going out on your own! Sorry I couldn’t catch it live, but enjoying the vid. Maybe I haven’t watched long enough but any chance your covering stuff outside of hiking/camping like kayaking, and even talk about your rock climbing stuff as well?
If you come up to Canada, you should see if you could meet up with Chris Prouse here in Ontario and see if she can show you the ropes of Canoe camping in Algonquin Provincial Park. Or Joe Robinet for the same reasons. Or 'Survivor Man' Les Stroud. I sense a potential Canadian theme here. :)
Or Justin Outdoors, Dan Durston or Lonewolf902
I would love to go on one of your backpacking trips. ❤😊
I'm glad ur building something of ur own!
You guys do give off hardcore sibling vibes! Love it! ❤
So winter camping, snowshoeing, international= Algonquin Park, ON, Canada
Congrstulations!! Cant wait for the new videos !!! I was late for the live stream but i still enjoyed watching you (and Tucker's ears) Thanks Miranda!!!
Miranda Goes Outside! Yay🎉
The vegan thing for migraines?! Mindblown. My doctor never mentioned this, told me stop with bananas and strong cheeses but never mentioned vegetarianism or veganism! Might have to give it a go! :)
Hey Miranda! I help maintain trail in Ohio and I would highly suggest Oak Openings, the North Country National Scenic Trail goes through it and it has a bunch of wonderful rare ecosystems! Some of them are the Oak Savannah and we have sand dunes in the middle of a forest! There’s also a brewery/ cafe inside the park near our mountain biking skills course and treehouse village.
I’m organizing group hikes for this year, if you’d like to join us on one let me know!
Can you do a video on budget gear for beginners? I have recently started buying items and I am in shook at the prices sometimes. Can you do the most affordable price point but the most bang for your buck?
French Hiker here, been following you since last year, if you ever come to France and need any information abt Fontainebleau, let me know. There is the "ghost station", only one departure on Sunday morning. Thanks a lot for all the tips you've been sharing! ♥️🥾
I always say Barefoot wine tastes like egg farts. 😝 I’m so happy for you, Miranda! Can’t wait to see all the new lovely content. You are truly inspiring. ❤
It’s “Miranda Goes Outside”, put some rock climbing content on here. You should do all of the outdoor activities. Rafting, horseback excursions, etc. Your channel also feels like it is geared toward a younger audience, so I would recommend creating content that’s designed specifically around kids and teens getting outdoors along with your young adult content (although I don’t know what the demographic of your viewers looks like).
To be more clear, I’m not saying “How to go backpacking with your kids” type content, but content that is geared towards kids learning what they need to do when they go camping or backpacking with their friends or family. Imagine yourself as a Girl Scout troop leader and your teaching kids how to outdoor. (My wife is a Girl Scout troop leader, wanna buy some cookies? Lol)
Come hike in Tennessee!!! 😁🙌 My friend & I have been slowly working our way through hiking through all of the state parks here in Tennessee, we’d be happy to be your resident experts! 🤓😁 Tennessee has over 400 waterfalls and some very cool places to go swimming-definitely worth checking out!
Yay, Miranda! Congrats, Pam! So looking forward to this new journey and future videos!
This is the first time I could make it through a "Live" RUclips video. SheFly pants!!!! OMG, I had no idea! These are going to change my life! Also, if you do a Meetup or group backpacking trip in Northern AZ (Flagstaff and Sedona are amazing!) that would be soooo cool. Sign me up. Wishing you and the team much success with your "new" channel.
I just use a (new) car oil funnel with a bottle for my daughter who's 4 when we're camping. She thinks it's the coolest thing ever because then we don't have to go out into the mosquitos at night. Even when I'm backpacking I typically take a short empty pee bottle for use at night because it weighs nothing and I hate getting up and going out at night.
So happy for you! Good luck, can't wait to watch your videos
Looking forward to seeing all the stuff you guys come up with! And exploring new places!!!
Porcupine mountains in the upper peninsula of Michigan is so beautiful and has a variety of trails
Watched this after the livestream and it was one of the most fun "livestreams" I've ever watched. Looking forward to more videos. Wishing you all the luck in the world on being independent.
Congratulations! God bless you on your new adventure!
Pictured Rocks, Porcupine Mountains in the U.P. Of Michigan.
How about el Camino de Santiago, in Spain.
Vincent Van Gogh is the ultimate van name! Good luck trying to top it with your next one, I’m curious to see what you come up with. If it were me, I would just add a number two at the end of the same name. Lol. What trail in Alaska were you hiking when the bear collapsed your tent?
Come hike in Canada! 🇨🇦
Yesssss to backpacking in Europe!! Please do!
Awesome to see you on the Tube again! I know you were sort of out this way a bit ago, but you should totally check out Vermont's Long Trail sometime; you could even do an LT section, and an AT section in the same trip! Happy hiking!
OMGGG an international trip!!! Eeeek can't wait!!!!
Merch idea add-on: camp mugs :)
I also get chronic headaches and migraines! If you find that the Botox is not working I would ask your physician about Ajovy which is what I have found helpful!
Also you are amazing I’m super excited to see how your channel evolves! I go on canoe trips in Canada so if you are looking for canoe trip ideas in Ontario hit me up!!! Love you! Excited for you!
Do more review on climbing stuff, and things that are nice crossover items to have for climbing and hiking. Maybe how to get into rock climbing outside and do that safely because climbing is seeing a huge influx of climbers and crag ediquitte can often get overlooked.
Nice! 😊🎉🏕️
Come to Guatemala! We have great places for hiking/camping and your channel actually was part of my motivation to get out there. You can camp in format volcanoes here!
Excited for you to possibly come out to Ohio! Zaleski National Forest, Cuyahoga National Park, and Hocking Hills State Park! Would love to do a group hike or meet up 🙂
you should absolutely film trail magic videos...maybe quick interviews with hikers about what is "the best" trail magic
Haha at a certain point working 7 days days together these 2 will totally Bone.
Hope to be able to catch the next "Miranda Goes Live".
Saludos Miranda from Tj México glad that you & your team are taking the next steep like Korean say FIGHTING
You can have my kids 😂 I have three 10, 7, and 5. They are obsessed with your channel and have been asking to go backpacking. I don't think they understand how much walking is involved 😂 we'll be attempting it next year.
