Good tip Rick and I just did a solo drive by myself today from Alpha, NJ where the auto shop is to my home in Phillipsburg, NJ and for the stopping behind other cars it depends on the situation like stuck in traffic where you have to leave a small space between you and the other vehicle in front of you. Other times I tend to follow your method to which there is a safe space

Hi EpicThe112 - Thank you for your comment. And space management is one of the fundamentals of defensive driving. If you're not near anything, it's less likely that you're going to hit anything. If there is anything further we can do, drop us a note. Always happy to help. All the best, Cheers Rick

Hi Rick, thank you for your note. I passed the road test in Hagen, North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). In addition to this video, I learned from you, in particular, about vehicle blind spots, parking and freeway merging. I should tell you that unfortunately here they do not teach about vehicle blind spot measurements and they teach to park using the camera, which, I guess, will surprise you, won't it? I'll continue to follow your channel and improve my skills. Thank you for the offer to participate in the 100K campaign. I have already registered myself. All the best, Hayk.

Hi Hayk Asatryan - Thank you for your reply. Be sure to take a road trip to celebrate your success my friend. It's important to celebrate our wins in life. Thank you for entering the 100K campaign my friend. Yes, the teaching of back-up cameras without the other observation skills for new drivers could potentially be problematic - especially when said drivers gets in a vehicle that isn't fitted with that feature. We've also added you to the Map of SUCCESS my friend: www.smartdrivetest.com/successful-smart-drivers All the best, Cheers Rick

I did not know that "following too close" is one of the top three reasons for car crashes. I have heard it was one of the causes of car crashes, though.

Hi Catherine Lee - Thank you for your comment. Think of it this way: if you're always too close to other vehicles, it's only a matter of time before you crash into another vehicle. All the best, Cheers Rick
