I used to go out on the gay scene and get so bored and then one day this came on ! People forget how new and original this sound was .. I was amazed by the sounds and couldn’t stop dancing to it !
THE coolest band of the late 80's! 1979 up until 1985 was SO creative and fabulous with New Romantics, Blitz Kids and then it went sour after but in 1988 S'Express arrived and injected life back into the UK scene, they still excite me just as much as they did in 1988! WOAH, WOAH!
From Mark's interview with the Guardian July 2017 "I didn’t take ecstasy at Top of the Pops for Theme from S'Express, but I did for Superfly Guy, and at one point I really didn’t know where I was, but I thought the lights were really pretty" - legend!

@Simply80s.com- your comments summed up rather nicely and in agreement. The early to mid 1990s too I would say was one of the best eras to be around the Dance Music scene.
My house music trip had started 30 Years ago..with THIS...! It was so emotional and unique ..!,My whole body and soul was dancing to THIS beat !
That couture jacket on the keyboardist is DIVINE! She looks WOW!

Mark Moore was a genius to come up with S Express

Another reason why 1988 is my fave musical year :-)
love this.
Yes, I'd forgotten just how good this song was!
That classic UK house music era was so brief. Early 1988 to mid 89. Magic era we will never see again.
UK house started in 1986 with Midnight Sunrise... On the house was the track
I thought Dance came back in the 1990s.
Acid House was 1988-1989, then Rave kicked in hard till about 1994.
GOOD TIME, GOOD MUSIC....
Guy at the back' OK all the trumpets are sampled but we just need you to stand at the back and spin that thing around and look cool!'
Brasil...show essa música, minha equipe Inocentes Imperador dançava no palco com essa musica na stop disc club.
My first Holiday in Ibiza(July 1988) what a memory...

I would say this 80's tune is just as good as ones that came out in 90's
RUclips won't allow the actual music video in this country. The song was a hit here.

Gostava mais desta, na epoca. A Christiane Maravilha, não Sei. Ou a Leila...

Seriously...people today they don't even know how to make fun anymore by simply dancing to the beats and nothing more... it's a damn shame.
