@@sixstringtv1 Speaking of putting your money where your mouth is, did you ever end up buying a Squier Contemporary like you said you would in your video "Why Are Squier Guitars Hated?"
@@sixstringtv1 Ohhh. I thought you said in the video that you were going to return the one you bought and buy another one. I was wondering since I'm buying one next week. :p
Another tip for people who pack small volumes : get yourself a plug to earphones modeler (i have the harley benton one, it fits in a pocket, reload like a phone and has like 10 preset for 40 bucks or so) and a travel guitar, some of them are very small and inexpensive (the dönner one has an 80 cm lenght and cost 150 while still being playable, because let's face it, a good guitarist doesn't need expensive gear). All of this fits in a backpack, is very cheap, and you can bring it almost anywhere.
This guitar seems really gold for the specs and price but holy shit I wasn't expecting you to demo this guitar with some dream theater let alone the count of tuscany which is one of my favorite dream theater songs that intro is so good.
My travel solution was a Stienberger Spirit GT and a Fender Micro Plus. The whole gigbag fits in my work bag, and travels well. And I like weird stuff.
I love that you say shorter scale length will help with smaller packing when in fact a single-cut shape and the explorer shape are bigger than a strat or Tele shape
Body width isn't what gets you during travel though, it's usually the length. If they wanna go really extra travel friendly they should make a 24.75" headless
Not only this is a perfect travel electric guitar, it's a perfect beginner's home electric guitar. I mean who needs cables and bulky boxes if 99% play in their bedrooms and need no loudness? (And as I understand this guitar isn't too quiet actually). To get these "simple" tones with a "normal" electric guitar you'll need either an audio interface (not free) + plug-ins (some are free, some not) or some modelling/digital combo-amp (not free either) or old-style amp/combo amp and pedals (expensive). Another important point is readiness of the guitar to be played with all these typical tones. Such turnaround will motivate beginners to play more often. For example as a guitar player I have pedals, amps, cabs but often I'm too lazy to deal with all these cables and switches and just pick my acoustic because it's READY. I don't mind compact "travel" modelling amps but this guitar, as an idea is the next level.
Price advertised 350$ Price on the Enya site 440$ 💀💸 ...but when u click it to ur shopping cart u get a surprise discount of 40$ 🤷♂ Also no shipping to anywhere else than North America... But it's rather expensive for just a travel guitar. I could buy a cheap Jackson JS11 for 160€ and a smol amp like the Marshall in ur vid and get it all under 200€! Granted it's not weatherproof and it's not a 2in1 combo, but it's also not 400$. There might be a market for these Enyas, but they should be 300$ tops (I personally wouldn't pay more than 200€), 'cos it looks like a toy 🙉 But I do admit it sounded surprisingly good! Actually a bit too good for a sound coming out of a speaker inside the guitar...The sound quality was on par with a line-out or a 100$ JBL bluetooth speaker! 😳
Meanwhile my current rig is a Yamaha EG112-C and a orange crush mini amp lol. If this had a whammy it would be perfect. I busk so having something like this would simplify a lot of setup (although I’d definitely forget to charge it)
Yeah can confirm. Its a bit tricky to get the settings that way but i am happy with that thing. Best about it is that the battery last long enough to fill a evening. Had it on for about 3h and went from 100% to 61%. That was pretty rad!
@@sixstringtv1 pretty sure they "pick" the better ones to give the reviewers. Mine also needs setting up, another thing I've heard other reviewers saying that it didn't need to be done on theirs... Don't get me wrong, I love mine, but it could've been better
It looks nice and the price seems reasonable. Judging by the audibility of the string noise outside I guess it's not very loud, but is it? I have a Blackstar FLY 3 and a Katana Mini battery amps - can this guitar get somewhat close to their loudness or it's much quieter by design? Can you describe the loudness like comparing it to something we can imagine? Thanks! :)
Just got the matt black one a couple days ago off Amazon. Delivery was quick and even came powered up enough to check right out of the box. I love it and have reservations. It plays very nice but I'm doing a set up on it for my own quirkiness. The concept with the amp built in is fantastic but they did not get all the feedback out. I'm not a skilled player like a lot of these reviews are and I hear some say palm dampening is needed but find it annoying. Overall though, this lil toy is a gem! I have done headphones, through my 30 watt amp, with and without pedals and able to use the presets through the guitar. Before I caught this video I was pickin' along with random music videos on RUclips and enjoying the heck out of it. $350.00 for a very decent playing guitar...not bad at all!
I've heard some people complain about feedback, but personally encountered zero issues with it. But if you did that's understandable, since the speaker is quite literally directly below the pickups hahah
Mmh it's a nice thing, but the added value is still limited. When I travel, I also usually don't want to bother whomever I'm staying with, carrying that extra speaker is not worth it. I'll then take headphones and a compact multi-effect board (that has amp models). Zoom makes those tiny 2 pedal units, mostly plastic, therefore lightweight, and with very decent sounds. And then I can take whichever guitar I want, and (as someone else suggested) it can then be headless, thus also lighter and more compact. I think that Mooer with onboard sounds you reviewed a while back would be a much better candidate for travelling. I have never experienced wood reacting to climate, though I've never travelled this far with a guitar so I don't know the extent of that problem, so maybe that's the one selling point here. One scenario I could see this coming in handy in, is a "campfire" situation where you'd like to entertain a few friends and be able to shred a bit and not be limited by a (bulkier) acoustic.
not the same. both are signatures. there is sparse information about the company, so i don't know if it's named after someone. they have been around since 95. i dug into the company after i got the nova go acoustic for christmas. it's a good guitar.
What is this outside you speak of good stranger? "There is a little silicon string thing you pull out.." and then promptly lose because it's not secured to the guitar.,
😂dude, you're a week late to the party...all the other guitar RUclipsrs did this video last week. Also Harley Benton sells the exact same guitar, built by Enya, for $50 cheaper but only comes in black. Good review though
That's a different guitar, and I had this thing three weeks pre-release. Had I uploaded the video alongside everybody else, you wouldn't have seen it. So it worked
I liked your show because you just say what you wanted now your pg 13 no swearing . Not that I’m big into swearing but I am to sensor ship. I’m out best of luck though .
Even so, I approached Enya about making this video, I ask for money so I can continue making them. Without sponsors your favorite creators would be out of a job and you'd have nothing to watch. Either deal with people being paid for their work or go watch cable TV, because there's definitely no product placements there.

This as a headless 🤯🤯🤯

Make it headless please!

I ate an entire bag of baby carrots, some yogurt, and leftover Chinese food while watching this video
Balanced meal I'd say
Only need a 7 string 24 fret version
Price given: $350us. A month later on Amazon: $429us.
This is pretty rad, I used to travel with a laptop, interface, and a whole ass Ibanez Iceman and cables
Interesting Chewbacca cosplay while doing a guitar review.
Remember aeroguitar? Yeah i think this is what they wanted to be but failed horribly
For a travel Amp you should check out the positive grid spark go. I got one for when I travel to the U.S.
