Nova Go Sonic Smart Guitar With Built in Speaker - Is It Any Good?

Enya Music, a few weeks ago approached me asking if I would like to collaborate (Basic sponsorship I guess) with them if they send me the Nova Go Sonic smart guitar. Ive been sent all kinds of guitar related gear over the years, some of which I have reviewed and some that is basically a crap product that looks good and didn't make the channel video list. To say I was apprehensive is an understament, but I said yes anyway as I had never been asked to collaborate with a guitar so I took the plunge.
I received the box, opened it and strummed the guitar right out the box, as you expect. My first though were as expected, it sounded completely different to a standard wooden set up without amplification and was like, meh at least its in tune out the box so maybe thats a bonus! Then I turned the guitar on to engage the smart feature, speaker and modelling, and I was like, wow this is great! The sound is somewhere but does not sound like its coming from the small speaker on the guitar. I was actually blown away and the quality of the guitar speaker and overall effects already built into the guitar. The ease of use is so convenient for many situations and not only can the speaker fill a room well, you can play your own music through it too! Absolutey awesome!
Rather than making a video review straight out the box, I thought I would use the guitar first, so I used the guitar as my main teaching guitar for the entire week. 60+ lessons over the week and the guitar did not disappoint, apart from the feedback issue, but that can be sorted by tweaking the app a little.
So in this review, I hope you will hear the quality from the Nova Go Sonic from the room mic on the camera used to capture the video.

Being able to grab the guitar and instantly get that tone is a dream come true. It's a great piece to have in the living room for noodling around and practicing.

How do you get the drum machine to play thru the guitar speaker?

You need to double press the smart knob to pair Bluetooth with your phone/tablet you can then play music etc through the speaker.

Please tell me can I connect it to the speaker or do I need a combo amplifier?

It works just the same as a standard guitar if you don’t engage the smart side of things.
