    I could just tell it was her by how there was always this smug/mischievous kind of look (even if it was SUPER subtle) that was always present... the kind of look where you know something others don't. I just couldn't shake that from the beginning and it's impossible to unsee after you know she's the mole, too. Even the editors had to quickly cut away from some of her "innocent" reactions because it wasn't believable.

      Yeah I noticed that too and I hated it so much. Esp that time when she left the guys to sleep on a cold hard floor. She was so fucking annoying in the morning.

    When she openly dropped the $6000 ice block I knew she was the mole and the bank heist. The bank heist was so easy but didn’t want to believe it. I wanted Joi to be the mole so bad because she was on the losing team so much.
    Kesi played a good game. She was the right choice for the mole

    The only way to be surprised its Kesi is to think that the producers wouldn't put someone so obviously suspicious as the mole.
    I only split my suspicion between her and Joi because of the strategy of acting suspicious to make yourself appear like the mole... plus Joi kept doing stupid reality show drama stuff like calling people out at dinner tables lol

    • @jacobmccain8794
      @jacobmccain8794 Год назад +1

      Joi called Jacob out on purpose as strategy for them because they were working together and she wanted to deflect suspicion off of them. She was a very smart player and honestly it seems the producers made a lot them look dumber than they are. Many of them agave spoken out about the many things producers did not show.
      Also what do you mean the only way of not knowing it’s Kasi was if the producers picked someone that didn’t look suspicious. I didn’t she looked it at all??? Can you elaborate? You’re saying you looked at her face and you know, that’s the mole?

    For me I was positive it was either Joi or Kesi almost the entire time. Turns out Joi was just trash in every competition. The thing is if Joi wasn’t so bad at literally everything it would have been obvious from the beginning. Kesi did a pretty bad job and the only reason people didn’t know at first was because of how bad Joi was

    • @therednotes
      @therednotes  Год назад +20

      I figured Joi wasn't the mole Episode 3 because she was too obvious. Plus, her and Avori had similar tactics (I believe Osei voted Joi episode 1 and he was sent packing).

    • @jacobmccain8794
      @jacobmccain8794 Год назад +12

      No, Joi was not trash at every competition. Can we not call be trash first off all. She did it as a strategy. People found it obvious and made her a target. People thought it was annoying but I loved that she was playing the game from the beginning. Even better she was playing to win because only one person wins in the end. Everybody was shook when she took that 25,000 dollars. After changed her game up, and she took herself all the way to the finale. I’m not made that she thought it Will. I actually thought It was Kasi or Will. I saw they were a little close, but when we got to the Jail competition, I knew it was her. Will would do little things that I was like is that him slipping or him trying to actually do something intentional. Also would’ve been a good play to be himself and beast each competition and put money in the pot, makes total sense. I still definitely thought Kasi, but will was definitely swing red alerts in the caves in the back of my mind😂. All that to say, Joi was very intellectually and played risky and not safe, but to win. Maybe unpopular opinion, Jacob was my favorite and I honestly wanted to be the mole even though I knew he wasn’t. I loved how he played the game. He was great entertainment!

    • @ollie2111
      @ollie2111 Год назад +2

      EXACTLY. I was like, Joi is messing up so badly that it had to be deliberate 😂. Also I thought the mole was required to sabatoge every time, and by the time it was more understood that they didn't have to, I already had my mind set. Plus worst of all, her betting all the pot money during that one challenge.

    • @ollie2111
      @ollie2111 Год назад +1

      Idk y'all saying the bet money was a strategy. I mean since we know she wasn't the mole, I guess it was. But it just doesn't make sense to me. Bro maybe she really was playing the long con though.... lose all the money to throw suspicion onto yourself and gamble the possibility to win it all back for yourself later.
      I just thought, its either too obvious to bet that much as a mole, or too lose-lose to bet that much as a teammate. I guess that was the winning strategy after all (even if she did lose right at the end).

    • @brucewyatt9980
      @brucewyatt9980 Год назад +6

      @@jacobmccain8794 Joi was straight up trash. There’s a difference between intentionally throwing competitions and actually just being useless as a competitor. Joi legitimately did a better job at being the mole than the actual mole itself due to her sheer inability to do anything. I honestly don’t think it all was on purpose. You could tell Joi was actually trying some of the time and was still the worst in the group at every single competition.

  • @falks941
    @falks941 Год назад +38

    I feel like people are massively underestimating Joi. Whilst I understand that many viewers found her “annoying” because she appeared to be incompetent at everything, it’s quite obvious now that this was deliberate.
    She was useless in almost every competition and made crazy sabotages to the pot ($25,000 bid for an exemption?!?), but this was no accident. The woman is a commercial pilot - she is clearly a very qualified, highly intelligent person.
    She was almost solely responsible for creating enough confusion to cause others to be executed on the quiz as loads of people thought she was the mole. I honestly think Kesi would have been figured out weeks sooner if it wasn’t for Joi. Plus, in some missions, she was very impressive (like the bomb mission).
    She was a better player than she gets credit for, but having said that, her undoing was caused by her awful judgement in believing Will was the mole.

    • @AbstractOddity
      @AbstractOddity 10 месяцев назад +1

      Totally agree. Joi played a good game until the end where she lost her damn mind and convinced herself will was the mole for some reason. I’m not sure what she even thought he did to lose money from the pot because I can’t think of anything as egregious as what kesi had been doing. Specifically things joi got to witness firsthand in some of the last challenges since she worked alongside kesi

  • @ollie2111
    @ollie2111 Год назад +18

    I was *sure* it was Joi the entire time. Honestly I'm shocked I was wrong. I feel super embarrassed too cause looking back, once I had it set in my mind that she was the mole, I started giving passes to all of Kesi's sabatoges. Cause like, I was already biased and I feel like she was pretty good at making her "mistakes" look ambiguous. I think my worst one was the prison challenge. I was like, idk I have seriously bad eyesight, maybe she just has bad eyesight 😂😂😩 [ **EDIT** I'm re-watching the show with family and I mis-remembered, that was actually *Samara* , *not* Kesi- and I guess she really did have bad eyesight hahahaha. However, BOTH of them did miss the key. Kesi didn't say anything whereas Samara was the one who called it a hair tie. So it was easy to get that mixed up. ] But what cemented in for me the most that it had to be Joi was when she spent all their money in the confidential files challenge. I STILL don't understand why she did that. The only way that it makes sense to spend nearly *all* of the pot money is if you're the mole. I mean, if you spend a lot of pot money you get to tank the team AND look like you felt desperately needed that elimination save. But if you're not the mole, then that's.... just really dumb? I would have understood it more if her bet was even half the total money, but nearly all of it?? I guess she really was just bad at the game (and as that follows, got genuinely better over time).
    I also was kind of confused because I thought the mole would have to sabatoge every challenge. I mean, if the mole coasts along without sabatoging, then they're not doing their job so what's the point of their role. And it just so happens that Joi was on A LOT of the losing teams and was the cause of a lot of them.
    I actually think she was intentionally framed to be a red herring. They really hype up her being a pilot and how she is supposed to be good at directions. But like, it turns out she actually is bad at directions... dude ughhhh I feel so embarrassed. There were times that my suspicions towards Kasi went up, but only ever as like a fallback choice (imagining being a contestant and having to take their weird little quiz).
    I also think I should have paid more attention to the people who said they were leaning their bet on Joi who got eliminated, cause there were a few who did that & mention it in the interview parts.
    Man, my mind was so set. And that money thing, I could not let it go cause it just did not make sense to me.
    Fr I played myself so bad.
    This is unrelated to the show itself but I also went hard on only one contestant cause for some reason in my mind I kept hearing words from a review I watched of, idk if it was this show or some other entirely, where the person was like "its one of those shows where you can tell who it is immediately, and it does end up being that person. And then what? They play with them for the entire game?" But I can't find that vid anywhere and legit it most likely was about a different show entirely. But that one little sentiment was so stuck in my head that it colored my entire watching of the show 😂.
    Almost forgot, another thing that kept me on Joi was that she kept suspecting Will. I knew he was a possibility but I seriously could not believe it was him since he was always pulling in so much money for the team it didn't make sense to me (also I'm so happy for him he won, he deserved that). So I was like "why would she be so adamant it's him if its not her?".
    I also overlooked the part where when Dom gets eliminated, if I remember right, Joi actually votes to try to bring him back in, it's Kesi who says no. Which really should have shown me how things were the opposite from what I thought. I was still reeling from all the commotion tho and so damn sad that Dom was gonna be left behind. All I thought was "I still don't think this girl is the mole, but I don't like her anymore at all". I might be wrong on that being Kesi or not cause that's when there was still a lot of contestants, but damn. [ **EDIT** on rewatch, I was wrong, it was *Sandy* who started it and others who agreed after, like Greg. I'm still angry they did that cause I really liked Dom. In fact *both* Joi and Kesi voted to bring him back. Joi stood up for him and Kesi was more low-key about it but actually also voted in favor of him. I thought the mole wouldn't vote to bring him back but both the mole and a teammate did vote to bring him back and it was some random ass teammate who started picking fights not to bring him back so it looks like none of that was indicative of anything omg /head spinning/) ].
    Basically, I damn played myself & kept all my eggs in one basket the entire time 🤧😆😆.
    Lowkey I also skimmed through a lot of the challenges to get towards the end at like the halfway point through the show (I skipped the pizza one, but other ones I watched bits and pieces of- not smart ik😆). But hey at least I'm gonna have parts still to enjoy when I try to get my family to watch the show 😅.

    For me, I would like that every challenge they vote to "leave" a player or more out and if the team succeed in the challenge, the money go to pot that everyone who participated to the challenge could win at the end so it would create side pot and also force people to be less suspicious or at least not always be suspicious
