Well, hi Rick and Pauline. Off we go o anther Train show!!!!! I think Rick and I did see a lot lol. But what is this ..... WOW the one that you did pick up and was 47. I have that same one lol and it is a good runner, and it is on my Layout right now too :)!!!!!!! It dose look like a big show nice!!! I did like the buildings and you didn't get it lol!!! I did enjoy this one you know well done!!! Take care:).
Hi Brad, no we only bought a coach and wagon at the show but it was nice to see what's available. I will have to watch the vid back to see which 47 you mean. Cheers for watching Rick
HI Rick and Pauline, nice bargains again. I'm just working through my Christmas at easter as I call it. I always have all my buys delivered at relatives in the UK and I just got back. A lot of new and second hand loco's this time. Always take the second hand ones fully apart, repair if needed, clean, oil, detail and turn them into DCC controlled. I always find taking them apart and service them will give them a longer life even If you're not interested in converting to DCC. One had so much dust in it, that it was almost possible to reconstruct the carped, and you never know until you open them. Swimming in old oil, or solidified oil is an other nasty thing you sometimes find, so you always do good in giving them a full service. So that will keep me a while quiet😅 Also picked up some nice lazer cut MDF buildings at the York model show from JS Models, lovely stuf they make. Anyway, always love your bargain hunting trips, keep on posting… Cheers, Danny
Hi Danny, yes I find a lot of locos we pick up are gunked up with oil especially Lima Diesels. Nice to hear you had a great time over here and nice you got some items from JS models. We have featured them in quite a few of our videos and people always have a lot of nice things to say about them. All the best Rick
Great video. Pauline was on a mission and the dust trail was evident. Lol . Shame that you didn’t find what you wanted. But the SR Pullman is fantastic.
Quite a lot of models there some to choose from I really liked the wrenn pullmans in southern region green and in maroon but are hard to find so £20 was good near the end you picked up that bus Shame you didn’t buy it it’s a Routemaster a model of ER 880 one if the first experimental extended routemasters they had 72 seats instead of 64 after 1965 all of the last buses were built to this length and I drove this very bus when I was at Shepard’s bush it was painted in London United tram livery and was our show bud some of the old boys would come in Sunday as we didn’t have crew buses on that day all one person and they would polish abd deep clean it as it was used mon-sat on the 9& 94 routes as a service bus with the other RMLs ,KT changed the type code from ER extended Routemaster to RML Routemaster long 😊,she was new to Finchley I think to replace trolly buses in 62 on the 104 and to see if larger buses could work ,she was lovely to drive Rick 👍🏻,all the best to you all Mark 😊😊
Hi Mark, yes the Pullman is very nice and would love a few more to make a full rake. Unfortunately they are very rare and I can't be bothered with eBay! We have a couple of fairs planned over the next few weeks so fingers crossed. Your knowledge of buses is always good to fall back on should we ever get some more. 😀 Cheers Rick
Did Hornby never attempt the 'jahreswagen' thing? Both Märklin and Piko have novelty vehicles in the catalogue. Piko has a tank car with the year printed on it, which has a different colour combination for every year. Märklin does their yearly Christmas car (which is usually a regular car painted in Christmas colours)
Hi Ivo, I'm unsure on whether Hornby did the jahreswagen thing. They do a lot of yearly novelty wagons many of which are very collectable. We do have a Christmas train and Hornby release new wagons for this every year. Thanks for watching Rick
Nice hunt and as mentioned Pretty Polly was named after a racehorse. Nice how it came to a novelty hunt as well but the thing is that when you after something, you can't find it lol Great video.
Hi Graham, not sure what happened there? Might be an editing error or maybe my card details were on show. Anyway you will be pleased to know our next 3 videos (mid week vlogs excepted) are all toy fairs! Thanks for watching Rick Thank
The station is on Anglesey. The rough translation is "St Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St Tysilio of the Red Cave."
Pretty Polly was a real locomotive. It was, as most of the Class (A1/A3) were, named after a racehorse. I believe Hornby have done a couple of models of this for both the main range and as a shop exclusive
Hi John, sorry no I did have the name but lost it, I'm kicking myself as I always try to put captions with the traders details on screen. If anyone knows who it is please let us know. Kind Regards Rick
Morning Rick that long building is workers huts at Dent station on the settle to Carlisle line in the good old days 👍
Hi Jason, thanks for the info, it's always good to know that the buildings are prototypical. Cheers Rick

Nice hunt and as mentioned Pretty Polly was named after a racehorse. Nice how it came to a novelty hunt as well but the thing is that when you after something, you can't find it lol Great video.
Hi Simon, yes it was a bit annoying! Very happy with the Pullman though! Cheers Rick
Great video never seen Pauline move so fast did she have your wallet with her lol👍
I think Pauline finds novelty wagons a lot more interesting than Diesels!
Pauline was definitely on a mission 😂 great video all the best to you both.
Hi Deano, I wish we could get round ALDI this fast. 😂😂
@@wellchuffedrailways I know how you feel 🤣🤣
Another great video guys. Love it when you have just traders videos. Seemed you cut it short though. In mid speech, battery run out?

Thanks for the info Andrew.

Talk about purpose! I've never seen Pauline dive in with that determination, good though...
That's nothing you should see her at a garden centre. 😂 Cheers Rick
PRETTY POLLY WAS INDEED THE REAL NAME , it like many other A3s was named after a racehorse of the day
Cheers Shakey, I'd never heard of the loco until seeing the model.
Have you given up with the crompton .
No I just never have the cash when I see the one I want. It's 33025 with the large logo and full yellow ends. All the best Rick

Do you know the name of the first trader on video
Hi John, sorry no I did have the name but lost it, I'm kicking myself as I always try to put captions with the traders details on screen. If anyone knows who it is please let us know. Kind Regards Rick
@@wellchuffedrailways The first stand was the Sheffield Model Railway Enthusiasts (who ran the show) sales stand, so not a commercial trader as such.
He said what i thought was the word frozen when you asked him but not sure what he meant
Thanks very much for the info 😃
Thanks for the info railwayfalcon
Hi both - 'Railriders' discount? that takes me back :)
Sure does, it's back up and running and worth taking a look at. Cheers for watching Rick
