"She was a rash statement but she was true" is probably my favorite line from the entire series and it's not even in the official episode True deep cut
Yeah, but he's talking about life. For one, without the sun, it'd be too cold for anything to grow. Second, algae and plants that create oxygen from carbon dioxide. Also, photosynthesis requires the sun. Heat from the sun is what created fossil fuels. The earth could exist as a rock, but without the sun, there would be no life and the earth would become a lifeless rock.
Hermit574 - The heat in the core of the Earth is only what's left from the creation of the solar system. So the sun is responsible for the heat in the core of the Earth. Eventually the core will lose its heat.
The sun absolutely does power the earth. Without it no life could exist. I love that they’re both a little wrong. And they’re both a little over confident and a little confused. Just like their characters.
I love watching them write an entire new sketch accidentally in real-time. They did something similar in the Oscar Pool outtakes I think. Really awesome to watch.
I love how they rlly break into actual J&A, like no jokes, jus' their tone an' tha situation playin' out, they cud'a made an episode based off that Jake thinks he's right 'bout sumthin', Amir is obnoxious 'bout it, Jake calls 'em out, they both find out Amir is technically rite, Murph makes Jake eats compost an' beats up his gramma classic.
Trees are also sun storage. When you burn a log, the fire that results is essentially the light and heat of the sun that went into it during photosynthesis. I'm getting this info from 'Richard Feynman - Fire'. It can be found here: watch?v=N1pIYI5JQLE
Okay so everyone was debating this so I actually looked it up cuz Im not a Neanderthal. The Earth is power by two main sources: The Internal Core (geothermal heat) and The Sun (solar radiation). The Sun is most of it (not sure the percentage). If Jake’s trying to say “Solar Power doesnt power the earth, most of it is burning fuel and electricity.” Then i get what he is attempting to get at.
Okay so everyone was debating this so I actually looked it up cuz Im not a Neanderthal. The Earth is power by two main sources: The Internal Core (geothermal heat) and The Sun (solar radiation). The Sun is most of it (not sure the percentage).
It's quite obvious that they like each other a lot in real life. The fact that they decided to start an own web series together and even jokingly kiss each other during a live chat is proof of that.
It sustains life. The only way you could say the Sun powers the Earth is that by being the right distance from the Sun we have tectonic activity. or some shit
amir is actually not wrong here. it’s often theorized that life on this earth couldn’t exist the way it does without the sun. we depend on plants that grow because of the sun. even when we’re not using solar power to generate electricity, we’re burning fossil fuel made from life from millions of years ago that all depended on the sun. so actually, amir’s rash statement, while not in the way that he thinks, is true.
But it doesn't power the earth, if I kept a plant in a plant pot, then didn't let the plant get any light the plant would wither, that doesn't make it a light powered plant pot.
LIFE exists because the sun exists,it is because the earth was that one planet which was (and is) at just the light distance from the sun.You think coal and other fossil fuels power the earth? Think again, where did they come from? Plants.Where do plants receive their energy from?Oh yes, that big giant ball we call The Sun
I disagree that the sun powers the earth because it doesn't but the sun is the 1 reason the earth even exists, without the gravitational field holding the earth in constant rotation the earth would be a dust cloud. So in a way, he is correct, the sun does power the earth. Not directly though
Actually the sun does power the entire earth, except hydroelectric and geothermal facilities, which are relatively few in number. Coal and oil come from remains of organic life, which got its energy from the sun, like all organic life does. Solar power, of course. Wind power comes from differences in pressure in earth's atmosphere created by the sun.
virtually all energy on eartch comes from the sun, think about coal. burning coal is you breaking down the carbon in the coal, which was assembled by the plants millions of years ago, that got the energy from the sun
hey listen, do you have any idea what you're talking about? do you have any knowledge base(sound or otherwise) regarding astronomy? if you want to argue, better prepare well The planets, asteroids, comets particles ranging from tiny to huge(like jupiter)have come FROM the sun.Refer to the evolution of solar system and its precise mechanism. Not ONLY the earth has come from the sun, every single thing that happens here can be very clearly traced back to the sun and it being the only source of energy
I love the real life jake and amir moment in this.
Solar power
The sun powers the earth
She was a rash statement...but she was true.
Who the fuck is rotem
@@the-boring-car-guy this deep cut, it was precise, it was methodical.
@@jashsu It was illegal!

True deep cut
I love how, halfway through, they just become the characters and start bickering like the solar power thing is the actual episode.
Can't believe they cut the falling asleep gag. That was classic
The sass levels in this video were off the charts.
I love how they actually sound so much like their characters.
They look so much like the characters they play.
Tyler Barnes m
wow they had a mini real life jake and amir moment!
Amir has a great voice. And a cute laugh.
HES SP CUTE 😭
I love how go into character in-between takes that has nothing to do with the actual short.
Shut up nerd
@@daftbanna7202 such a mean thing to say…
I love how they come up with new episodes during the filming of other episodes: Next up, Jake and Amir: Sun
sun does power the earth basically
Yeah, but he's talking about life. For one, without the sun, it'd be too cold for anything to grow. Second, algae and plants that create oxygen from carbon dioxide. Also, photosynthesis requires the sun. Heat from the sun is what created fossil fuels. The earth could exist as a rock, but without the sun, there would be no life and the earth would become a lifeless rock.
Hermit574 he's talking about how it's powering all life on Earth:
No, the sun powers us. The Earth would be fine.
Hermit574 - The heat in the core of the Earth is only what's left from the creation of the solar system. So the sun is responsible for the heat in the core of the Earth. Eventually the core will lose its heat.
Hermit574 - The Earth was created during the formation of the sun so the Earth did need the sun to exist
These guys are the most adorable bffs ever...
The sun absolutely does power the earth. Without it no life could exist. I love that they’re both a little wrong. And they’re both a little over confident and a little confused. Just like their characters.
Haha beautiful.
I hope they are just constantly goofing like this in their everyday lives
I love watching them write an entire new sketch accidentally in real-time. They did something similar in the Oscar Pool outtakes I think. Really awesome to watch.

It does not "power" the earth. It just makes it liveable.
a combination of the sun and tectonic plates power the earth
I guess they had to remove the falling asleep line because they couldn’t do it without laughing
Teaches Jake Biology.
i wish they kept they kept the falling asleep joke

Umm Sun does power the Earth.
No, the sun powers us. The Earth would be fine.
Yes, it would. Earth was also Earth for the millions of years it had no life on it.
Earth: the third planet from the sun.
I don't know what you're doing, but I don't like it.
@@Fruush What you're saying makes more sense if we're discussing "the world". "Earth" has a pretty solid and consistent definition. It's this planet.

Amir was right, the sun provides most of the energy used by the creatures of the earth, via photosynthesis and the food chain
Okay so everyone was debating this so I actually looked it up cuz Im not a Neanderthal. The Earth is power by two main sources: The Internal Core (geothermal heat) and The Sun (solar radiation). The Sun is most of it (not sure the percentage).
