- Paula Vennells, former Post Office boss, was questioned in the Horizon IT Inquiry.
She gave evidence of her time during which subpostmasters were prosecuted.
It has been claimed she covered-up the Post Office’s knowledge of bugs in the faulty accounting software.

I was totally sickened by her sniveling when Mr Beer confronted her with an irrefutable statement.
All of those Post Office 'top brass' have been a++se covering all the way down the line and their actions have been reprehensible. This woman's behaviour has been up there with the worst and tears now are just not good enough and are strike me as more for the situation she now finds herself in, than for the damage she and her colleagues caused to completely innocent people in their employ.
Will those responsible go to prison?
She is just not credible. She is clearly lying. Her tears are for herself not for those whose lives she ruined.

The poster girl for women's ordination will be forgiven when she resurrects her dead victims.
Replaying the tears back watch her project her face and "upset" making sure the chair got a glimpse. Crying in such scenarios forces the person upset to hide face away or minimum cover mouth in attempt to feel your protected. She drops tissue and hands completely to make sure we all got her tears and scrunched up face. She went on to gain a response from Beer. She was got her acknowledgement. At times I thought she was legit upset but replay it and watch speed of recovery and ease how she got straight back to defend and excuse! She's incompetent but she also had this ambition that she couldn't maintain. The emails we're seeing are addressed to different groups constantly. There was no structure. Digital communication proving her guilt. Funny considering as new CEO of post office she was doing advertisements on how great the digital world was!

Vennels joins the cohort of CEOs, MPs, News Editors, HoDs etc who in essence can't remember what they did when they were in charge. On oath, she claims to be a victim. Remember, she wanted info on the mental health of a complainant. How did she intend to pursue this? Phone hacking, private detectives data theft, burglary? Is that potential illegality going to be investigated? She's classically obtuse sociopathic & robotic; & these traits are desirable to the 'business' when in authority. Yet she emerges as surprisingly inept at formal presentation under duress. Unused to exposure, dissent or scrutiny, she resorts to denial, cliché & emotion. I suggest that during her tenure, she developed remoteness & callousness to become increasingly dismissive & aloof. From ennoblement to disgrace she has failed - "After hubris comes nemesis"
