Our house is in a subdivision in the Midwest, but it sits close to a small creek and the land is full of huge, old trees. I love so much about it! I love seeing several deer walking along the creek, and they come up in our backyard to eat my plants and sometimes sleep together in the yard, near our porch and close to the creek, which is a very short distance to the creek, which is downhill from our porch, and thick with trees. BUT our porch is always covered with pollen in the spring and so many leaves in the fall that we spend so much time sweeping the porch and raking the yard. I love it and hate it!

Lovely new house hope you will be very happy there made me think wonder if the new people who brought your house watch this about the trouble with the trees but they would have to be blind not to of seen them
The whole area is covered in tall overgrown trees, so everyone knows about them. But they all have protection orders on them, so there's not much anyone can do. The family a few doors down don't even use their back garden in the summer as they have no sun at all and put their kids paddling pool in the front garden.
We arranged with the neighbour who owns the trees after we sold to have them all cut back as far as was allowed so the new owners are fully aware.
As much as the trees are a pain we also loved them. The privacy, the green and the wildlife was really lovely x

By going to a new estate you will meet new people easier than if you went to an older estate. Love the lake in front of your new house and the porch. I noticed the difference in noise when we moved to a detached house from a semi and I owned our first place too with Andy moving in and it was exciting to choose one together.
I totally get the feeling of a dark house! Ugh and I’m in sunny Ca .. it’s crazy dark in my house! Well congratulations to you both! You deserve your dream home!!! Enjoy every minute! Yay! So happy for you! And as always thank you for sharing!

Congratulations guys, the house looks amazing it is a lovely part of Wiltshire, I loved it when I went to see my friends there. I live in a rural area surrounded by farmland. love the countryside more now than I did when I first moved here as it was a big change for me. the house looks very spacious and bright, not always great being surrounded by trees. At least it is all open there and will be better for you both. look forward to the move on Sunday and your journeys from now on. All the best enjoy. xxx

I totally understand wanting a brighter house. And as you mature I think is even more important for mood etc. I recently moved to a smaller town and just love it. Slower pace and happier people...lol.
That’s interesting as it’s never something that bothered me when I moved in, in my 20’s it’s only been more recent years that it’s really hit me.

Yay - you are in!!! Congratulations. Totally get it with the trees. And with wanting more privacy. We have moved quite a few times and it is top of my “want” list - no windows from other houses looking into the back garden.

Newer houses do seem to be much lighter we found that, our old house was dark in the living room , having trees must make it more dark. Lucky now we have no trees so much more light and views of fields ❤
We are noticing that now since moving already.
Other peoples houses seem dark. Maybe it wasn’t just the trees but also the style of house. We also have a south facing garden now which makes a difference as we hardly had sun in the garden.
@@LollipopBoxClub South facing is great and u don't have trees just a nice view over the countryside. It doesn't seem that the train is too near either so pretty good. We have a East facing but the way the houses are where we moved we still get sun until around 8 pm in summer so perfect (in the garden)
I am the same re the hayfever. I’m allergic to a certain tree pollen specifically. So, I tend to get hayfever at different times of year to others as well. Great to see your new home, I hope you’re settling in. While ours isn’t new, it’s about 15 years old and has a very new kitchen and other things. We are absolutely loving it so far. We have a four bed too - but it’s a townhouse so, I am getting in a lot more steps going up and down the stairs in this house 😂😂…

We are surrounded by independents which we love and had hoped for. No chains in the town at all!!
Ade, I can recommend the Beconase nasal spray for the hayfever symptoms. I kept getting flu like symptoms, felt like I was starting with a cold all the time and that spray, used twice daily, really improved it for me. Helps with my dust allergy too!

It's a beautiful place but for me is the noise of the trains would be a major point.i am sure you will get used to it.i live near a train station but not that close,
I can understand that. I think it would be a big issue for many, but we are enjoying them and for us it's a way our kids can always easily come home ❤
