Didn’t realize I needed a gimbal webcam!

Griffin didn’t buy the Insta360 Link 4K Webcam because it has a gimbal. But it turns out, auto-tracking movement is its most useful feature. Even better, the image quality outperforms the similarly priced 4K Opal C1 ($300), which is marketed as “The first professional webcam.”

Hate to say it, but the Insta 360 provides a vastly better image than the Lumix or Sony cameras as seen here at the receiving end. Better apparent resolution, sharpness. Once it’s been given the proper light to work with it looks like it will blow both the “big cameras” out of the water entirely.

Got a trusty Logitech C920.
It's simple and basic and much better than a built-in webcam. Not to the point that I'd use it for podcasting or anything though.
I guess I could use my DJI Osmo Pocket for the same purpose as the Insta360 Link.
The 360 Link kinda reminds me of the Feiyu Pocket 2S tethered gimbal without the need for the handle part.

This is frustrating. You get out the camera and don't seem to even read the manual and just start talking about it in ignorance. The overhead mode is meant for mounting horizontally such that pointing forward is down at a surface where someone might be doing something on a table with their hands and then the camera can pan up to the person's face. Which is a creative use of the gimbal and that's even in the promotional info for the camera but, it seems this channel just bought this camera and started talking about it without even giving it a cursory look over.
