the slide-out wardrobe is absolutely genius
good idea but has issues. blocking vehicle exit is one of them.

RV companies would be smart to use something like this in their builds. Such a space saver.

The sliding closet, the under the floor storage, the desk area, the folding kitchen table...Genius!

solutions like this arr present in many tiny homes and caravan videos, which he studies. there is an architect in japan that made his whole tiny appartment with top sliders as well. the sliding wardrobe here look fun but, ie. blocks exit. not an issue with one person but...

Brilliant build! The bathroom storage slide-out is an incredible space savior. The metal (side-panel latching window doors) provides the best of both worlds - stealth and functionality when not stealth. The swing-up (L) kitchen counter addition... awesome. Closing off the sleeping quarters to minimize heating and cooling costs and still being comfortable. Like an electric blanket at home or a sub-zero sleeping bag, but even better because your head or whatever is sticking out of the bag isn't 50 deg colder than your body - the difference between camping and living, I say. Your multi-purpose challenges/ solutions are a game.changer! The windows with the stealth setup is my favorite because it's the difference between having proper ventilation and sunlight and, well, none... dark and dank. RV builders should learn from DIY'ers and van-lifers... they've tries and tested it and know what works. Good luck to you...

finally I see someone who tried the sliding closet that hides in the shower!! I have had this idea for years, literally, and never found a coversion that included this. This was done almost exactly how I imagine it. I love it!
I like your sliding ideas in your home- having a sliding wardrobe with your bathroom keeps your space clean, best way to keep the space clutter free-also gives you more space in your cabin for moving around and living-i’m putting my like the idea that you had new skills that taught yourself and found someone to help you build a lovely movable home.
Really impressive Piotr, well done for taking that on as a project and having the vision to see it through so well. I've refitted smaller vans and a couple of boats and I think you've done a fabulous job. The wardrobe / bathroom design and the luton desk / bed combo are my two favourite parts of your build. I've not see bathroom storage done like before, so wow. ;)

That sliding shower shower cabinet is one of the smartest design ideas I've ever seen, and I have been watching videos like this and reading van life forums for years and years. Absolutely stunning. I hope you provide workable details because this design makes having both toilet and shower virtually a foregone conclusion instead of a problem or something we'd better just forget about. Subscribed on the spot for virtuoso imagination!

Thank you so much for your video. This is the best layout and design I've come across. The basic principles are very consonant with my ideas. Perhaps because I do video filming and editing and see the camper as a place to live and work, and not just for short-term outdoor recreation, like most. Space functionality, maximum autonomy and external invisibility are very important to me. Thanks again for the inspiration. I would be glad if there are more videos about the details of the construction of your small house.

Thanks, I had chemical toilet in previous van. I prefer well designed (separator, ventilation) composting toilet over a chamical one.

In so many van life builds, you see minor variations of similar layouts with a different aesthetic in each one. I'm not against that, but you my friend, have shown something truly unique. Furthermore, I'm seriously impressed with how much progress you have made in Sketchup for someone learning it from scratch.
