We had empty space above our garage, so we built in a drop down ladder there. We put all our seasonal stuff in the space above our garage. It’s out of the way and we don’t need to access it all the time because it La our seasonal stuff. If you have space above your garage, you might want to add a drop down ladder to add more storage space to your home.
I think that it a great idea to separate the bathroom to be usable for more than one person. I think having the top part of the door/partition could be translucent. This would allow light through and not shrink the space as much. Just a thought. I love your projects, especially the stair case!
The wall across from the guest bed (where you have all the stuff lined up against). Would be the perfect space for a built in narrow bookcase type shelving system with doors for all the decor....I would love that in my own home for easy access to my seasonal decor.
Put an outswing on that door in the dividing wall in the bathroom. If someone falls, you won't be able to reach them if the door swings inward, toward the tub. Also, try a mock wall (a sheet of plywood) to see if you really want to divide that small room in half. The house we bought has a wall like that, and it makes the room look like "Gee! I've seen larger walk-in closets!"
I would start with the guest room storage situation then move to the laundry room storage, that way you can maintain your organization as you transition from season to season and go about your daily life, otherwise, stuff will just keep piling up everywhere 😅I am excited for your projects, and I especially like that you work on the outside of your house too. We don’t get to see that too often from other creators! Happy 2025! 🥳
Very ambitious plans! Regarding the kitchen cabinet doors, there's a channel called Pattern Scout and she built all her cabinets. Totally something you could do, but I understand you need to pick and choose where you put your energy!!
What a list, but after following your channel for 2-3 years I’m sure you can do it. I agree with a few others about taking care of the guest bedroom first because if you are like me every time someone needs to stay I have to drag all of my stuff into another room. I am looking forward to everything but especially the kitchen. 😊❤😊
You always have such great ideas for your home! I think your kids should have a bathtub to soak in! I would love to see what more you would do in your kitchen too. Lots of fun ideas! Have a great week!
Whatever you choose to do 1st, I'm here for it! Watching your channel and all of your projects makes me think I can do anything...lol Love you, love your channel❤
I always enjoy ur videos Kelsey! I have major garage vacuum envy! I need to look into that! Cant wait to see u work in ur ideas. Ur so inspiring. Keep up the great work!
I love the idea of the wall in the children's bathroom. However, I'd be worried about the extra moisture leading to mold because of the ventilation. I think it will look beautiful, maybe an industrial fan IDK. The kitchen will take the longest so I think i might do that last because it will be the most rewarding and the most used area of the home. Those are my opinions that you asked for. I love your videos.
The trim is called white wood. Composite cracks over yime from texas heat. Use hardie board trim. Its the best. We have replaced all our trim and its the best product.
Staying organized is one of my goals. My home is a complete wreck right now. But very interested in this retractable hose vacuum! My garage is on my list of "get organzied" it's so bad right now we can barely walk in it.
Loving the goals. Loving your hair today also. I wish I had a garage but the previous owner took down the garage smh but I have a basement but it's low ceilings. I'm doing my bedroom now and putting breadboards on the ceilings, with it original to the house. It's a lot of work. I had some help, but still have to finish it.
You are right I go on your channel to see you transform your home. You've done an amazing job. I think you should do your kitchen first because it's the most used room in a home. I think a wood look cabinet would be amazing. I know it's a lot of work. Anything you choose to do first, I'll be watching. By the way, I'm down the road in north San Antonio,,,howdy neighbor
The kitchen, always like seeing kitchens refreshed. Actually all of your projects will be fun to watch. Any more thoughts on exterior shutters, eyebrow over garage door, etc.? What were the survey results?

Yup, there's a ton of space above my three-car garage. Where do you store your motivation, and can I borrow some? 😂

yes!! a transom window would be beautiful 🤩
Splitting the bathroom is a great idea. My brother and I had that growing up and it was helpful to have it divided.

Great ideas, please put flooring in the rooms instead of carpet, carpet has got to go, the flooring you put in the hall is so beautiful ❤❤❤
