Doing the same on a 800 , did you need a shorter side stand with lowering . Regards Alan

I do need one, but not urgently, I watch what side of the camber I'm parking on, so far all okay 👌

Hi, thanks for sharing this video, as I too am looking to lower my bike. I’ve ordered a 30mm Lust lowering link. Did you need to change the kickstand to a shorter one?

For me I didn't need to change the stand, the bike was at a good enough angle to be OK, when you get your links it will recommend that you lower the front suspension by 10mm in the instructions, I tested my bike in this video without doing it, however that is a personal preference, it could be different for each rider, so do as I did in this video and test it on a short ride with enough corners to see how the bike reacts, the instructions are detailed and fairly easy to understand if you do need to drop the front, just for reference I'm 5ft 7ish and weigh 14 stone, thanks for your comment 👍

Hi thanks for making this video. How tall are you? I'm 5.5 and I tip toe right now. I feel an inch be enough but checking your experience

To be honest, I don't think 30mm is enough for you height, what is your inside leg measurement? I'm 29 inches inside leg, I'm on the balls of my feet after lowering, it's far better but not great, if lowering further than 30mm then you will definitely need to lower front forks by 10mm or more, hope this helps 👍

I said in the video how tall I am, please watch it in full.

Did you get a new kickstand to adjust the kickstand angle? Noticed any issues after a few months?

No, I never got a new kickstand, for me it's okay, however you need to be careful with the camber when parking up, it is something I will do in the future, but right now it's okay, I have found no issues at all, in fact I find riding the bike more comfortable to handle now, thanks for your comment & hope this information is useful for you 👍
