    I measured my chain at 50mm first time, then rolled the bike forward like they say, to get it tightest possible, and it measured at 20mm. ? So...that's far too much variance to get an accurate reading. To me and my buddy, the chain (6k miles almost 2 yrs now) seems and looks a bit loose, almost exactly like your's looks prior to tightening it.

      I had to order a 1 1/6 socket (and 27,mm off Amazon to be safe) too.
