For what its worth, Hamish's Batman sound alot like Kevin's Early episodes as Batman and Im all for it

Not quite, Hamish is breathier
Linklater, Jason O'Mara, Bruce Greenwood, Jensen Ackles, Dietrich Bader, Jeremy Sisto, Roger Craig Smith.......all actors who voiced Batman after Kevin Conroy try to match the same intensity, the same superior level that Kevin gave.
IF another actor comes along that can match or outdo Conroy's performance, it probably won't be in my lifetime. Kevin set the bar HIGH UP
Although Hamish Linklater sounds like he’ll do great but he sure has big shoes to fill. But let’s be honest NO ONE can ever replace Kevin Conroy because he WILL ALWAYS BE THE DEFINITIVE BATMAN.

True nobody can do the Batman better than Kevin Conroy despite the many attempts of different voice actors though some of them makes a good Batman.

For sure I liked Hamish’s Batman a lot but there’s no one on this earth that could ever top THE Batman. I’m pretty sure even Hamish himself said he did a Kevin impression early on when discovering his own Batman voice. I saw a fan art that showed Hamish’s Batman on the left half and Kevin’s on the right or vice versa and It read “Remember the past, Embrace the future.” I’m excited to see what this show and other future installments have in store for us.

Kevin's voice in TAS vs JL and Beyond are WAYY diff. I agree that Hamish's voicework sounds like early BTAS Kevin. Kevin evolved the voice over decades. I think Hamish will too.
yeah, kevin's didn't quite start sounding like the one we are familiar with until around the middle of season 2 of btad

I got no hate for Hamish... I enjoyed hearing his depiction... he really brought out a dark soulless batman. Will be interesting to see how the voice evolves as the character evolves.
I do think Jason O'mara does a better batman voice that brings out subtle emotions and brings humanity to batman.
And obviously no one is going to ever top Kevin Conroy as gold standard. But I like hearing what others bring to the table

I don't know, O'Mara kind of has a monotone voice. Kevin Conroy gave Batman a real feel and knew how to change the tones for the different emotions.
I personally really like Bruce Greenwood a lot, but Kevin Conroy will always be my favorite

I’m glad people aren’t hating on the new voice actor because he’s not bad imo
I think Kevin Conroy deserves credit for portraying the humanity that makes Batman the greatest hero, and one that we all love. His personal experiences informed how he voiced the character, and the way he could bring any emotion to that voice defines who Batman is to multiple generations of fans. I’m excited for Caped Crusader and looking forward to the interpretation that Hamish Linklater is bringing to the table. No one will ever replace Kevin Conroy, but he would want us to love a new Batman too, and give Hamish the fair shot that he was given almost 35 years ago.
In between them, we have Rino Romano, Diedrich Bader, Bruce Greenwood, Jason O'Mara, the one from Beware the Batman, the one from Justice League: The New Frontier, etc.
The one from JL: the new frontier is Jeremy Sisto…really good actor… The only part I seen him in is the original law and order for later seasons, alongside Anthony Anderson.
Hamish imo is missing the grit in Batman’s voice. When Batman speaks, he speaks with a sense of authority, I feel like he’s missing that in his Batman voice.
He’s got time to improve just like conroy

There’s a big similarity between Hamish’s Batman and Ben Mckenzie’s Batman from the animated film Batman: Year One.
Similar cadence, tone, even choice of words.
Hamish Linklater is okay, but Bruce Greenwood or Roger Craig Smith would have been my pick for Conroy's successor.

Hamish is one of the better voice actors for Batman but nobody will ever top Kevin is and forever be the definitive Batman.

Hmm think it has to do with emotion with Kevin Conroy making things dramatic, while Hamish make Batman sound so serious.
Hamish did a great work and now is one of my favorites Voices for Batman.....but not kidding ourselves.........NO ONE will ever top KEVIN CONROY.

Yeah yeah yeah no one will ever replace Kevin and we should just stop making Batman material and all that crap, but honestly this Hamish guy is not doing a bad job at all. Gotta give credit where its due.
The issue now is EVERYONE is trying to do Kevin Conroy instead of just being themselves. Jesen did a pretty good job. Would be cool to see him be both the animated movie batman and live action at the same time.
Yeah, we have found Kevin replacements. No matter what people say, Hamish is doing an amazing work.
Linklater just doesn't have the vocal folds flexibility and strength Conroy had to both sound natural and have a low sounds in his voice even while having high ones so he sounds clear. And when he went low, you could hear it, and it didn't sound like he's barely able to push it there - it sounded like a natural part of his range. Linklater not only isn't able to do that, since his vocal abilities are limited he also barely changes his range, making his intonation sound monotonic and emotionless. Bad casting of a not-skilled-enough voice actor.
Kevin is inimitable. But he's doing alright.
I feel like Hamish, will become more like Kevin Conroy (The GOAT), as this series goes on...

I really hope he does the joker, i feel like the dynamic between hamish and dimagio could be amazing, and a plus for dimagio is he sounds like mark hamils joker in a lot of ways to

Could easily be one of the new regular Batman voice actors. They should honestly stick with Jensen, Roger Craig Smith, Jason O’mara and Hamish.

Roger Craig Smith is a bit better imo
Hamish sounds very similar to how Conroy did in the Batman The Animated Series seasons 1-3. Which to me, is amazing. I never liked Conroys portrayal of Batman/Bruce Wayne after that, it got too gruff and gravelly. The dynamic transition was lost when he stopped using that smoother velvety tone he had before.
Hamish’s Batman sounds more realistic, but Batman isn’t supposed to sound human which is why Kevin’s voice is so iconic
